Volume maxed...
...still can't hear what they're saying.
"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with senses, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use "
-- Galileo Galilei
in part 3 mention of paradigm classes, dye packs (I am betting store), mention of cutthroat rog? but was unsure if thats a seperate class? Each class distinctive look... mention of a great weapon fighter...
makes me think that each class will be pretty much the end class, but that there will be alot of class (at some point) with paradigm class maybe giving some choices.
As to whether you get much choice on feats I still can not say.
edit also mention of specialist skill rogues disarming traps and wizards "expose ruins?" i think he said and each class has a specialist skill?
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] I am not evil, I am just cursed.
What really bolsters my confidence is how many peopel that have on the team that has worked on D&D products in the past, every time I played an unmitigated disaster with the D&D logo slapped on it, I said often and loudly (especially at Gencon) "why can't they get the guys that actually write the material to work on the digital versions"...looks like someone actually heard me.
Oh and guys to improve your sound on the video put the youtube volume to 50% and turn up your speakers that will help with the distortion, also if you have a realtek audio device go into your audio manager and make sure loudness equalization is checked, and the equalizer set to live that should help a bit as well.

This did quite a bit for me. Thank you very much!

volume pumped up max and a decent set of noise-cancelling headphones also makes it better b:victory

Actually the dyes can drop in game there is a screen tip that indicates that in one of the videos.

Ugh.... just after that part they say "if you see someone playing a trickster rogue you recognize that"
Please no! Please don't severely limit visuals and classes. I'm not asking for the ability to make my rogue look like a Paladin, but don't go the cookie cutter look route that SWTOR had. One of the greatest things about Cryptic games is their level of character customization, please don't kill that.

I gotta agree with you there. I understand that if you scroll over someone you'll find out what class they are, but I don't wanna know simply because they all look the same. Then again, it could be they meant you can tell when they use abilities and such. Hopefully that's the case, but I doubt it.

Wow Varrvarr -- My eyes popped when I heard that as well, and I thought exactly as you did.
What a blatant development error in judgement if they meant what they said. It screams cookie cutter. It screams simpleton. Why must all wizards wear high collar pajamas? Why must all fighters wear full plate? Whatever the case may be.
I dont know about anyone else, but I want customization. I DONT want to look the same. I dont want everyone else looking the same.
Cryptic, time to get a promo video up displaying a full party. Lets see less spice and more of the variety. Character customization & group play features. Enough of these one person 1984 Dragon's Lair "parties", in low res.
Agreed. It just seems to un-DnD and un-Cryptic to have a game like that.
Aye I have a toon called Asmodeus in STO and I'm pretty sure no one else looks like him lol. I have a feeling that may not be possible in this game, hope I'm wrong

Yeah, seems that there are archetype appearance options on the character classes which now confirmed again have build customizations. You also can get items which CAN be customized with dyes at the very least.
Whether we have the OPTION of having items change appearance (or not if unchecked) like how certain STO items (if checked) can change appearance) is not yet known. And I bet there will be "in game secondary currency" options for "tailoring" as well if CO and STO are any indication, but this was not mentioned in this conference and is no confirmation (or secret confirmation) of any kind, just an educated guess.
[Rant]And then after all that, they get the last person in Q&A to ask the PvP question...and we can't tell you anything right now?! Almost tore my hair out at that point. I would have loved him to ask about crafting too if that's the answer we got![/Rant]
Do you suppose they will work repeatedly like able to color as many items at will or limited charges 3-5 uses max or single charge for coloring an item?

Yea, i hope it was just misinformation. I mean cryptic is known for they deep character customization and seems we will have dyes and cosmetic items aswell. Maybe what he meant is that every class will have a diferent model type, no matter what race u are playing with. For example, maybe control wizard will have a diferent model than a guardian figther when running or when they jump, etc.... This way u will immediately tell thats a guardian figther, not because of his clothes but because of character model. ofc im just speculating and hoping thats what he rly mean lol because i rly dont want all classes to look the same aswell.
Also i loved when someone at the panel asks, "how zones will have velash or helms hold at launch" ..... "i dont know... a lot"

Cant wait to put my hands on
Fear not - Ranger, Barbarian, Magician, Thief, Cavalier and Acrobat
You'll all have your Dungeon Master appointed outfit and weapon with not options for customization.
I hope I'm wrong, but I fear the old Animated series is closer to what were getting now.
Haha I have the series on DVD lol

So it has come to this...
