i know i have to be patient and all but come 3months and still nothing on this? i lose a bunch of progress trying to farm dungeons or even get dailies done cuz as soon as i'm about to complete a quest what does the game decide to do? crash me and basically make me lose the progress and start over. either they cryptic engineers are taking their sweet time or just dont care cause if a game is causing a number of players issues just trying to play and end up quitting as a result of it, i would think this ought to be some kind of priority.

Lately however I don't think I've noticed the EVENT having occurred in Social Zones anymore, or at least it hasn't happened to me in particular for at least a week or two as it now mostly seems to occur during fights or combat? Or perhaps it's just occurring a little less often with Nvidia driver 376.53 which Windows 10 seems to try to install by default?

i think they just wont bother fixing this issue, so from now i'll always crash in nw until i decide to move on to another game that doesnt screw me over

I guess it isn't affecting enough players to warrant a high priority. Besides, if this gets fixed maybe it breaks something else?

yup in other words they dont care. but apparently ruining the que system with their "new" system is much more important

far as they are concerned if only a couple are being HAMSTER by this issue it doesnt matter, funny how they say they "fix" anything when it really means they are breaking it, i bet when 12b comes out it'l make it even worse. if i learned anything from cryptic is they always know how to screw you up the HAMSTER in "fixes"

My Elves continue to pray and remain hopeful - especially since it seemed to start around June 22nd and never had it once prior to that. You'd think that help narrow down who did what to...

Funny though that STO does not have this issue despite using the same Direct3D driver support.

My very very basic guess on this is that from testing it seems to be the trees which most slow down my computer now. Any heavily wooded area - Lonelywood, Chult Jungle is just such a slow no go area now. This happened firstly back in MAY and relates directly to a LONG loading time for the game = greater than five minutes and SLOW frame rate in wooded areas.

Dread ring for instance is completely ok [no trees] as is Bryn SHander [no trees].

So was there a change in the way graphics for trees were drawn back in May?

I have read thru this whole thread and I have been experienceing this same thing. I've also been working with Nvidia on it and they have given me lots of things to try however none of them has worked.

The problem of the game client not responding only started about 10 days ago but I have had the Direct3D problem perhaps since the June 22 date.

I've done everything that Nvidia has told me except create another User Account and see if it still happens. I'm afraid of messing up my system.

Here's what IS working for me currently... sort of... I went into the games setting >graphics and set everything to either OFF or MIN. The graphics stinks but I haven't been getting the Direct3D errors. Give it a try. I also read in a forum that some of the older Nvidia drivers work better than the newer ones. I have about 8 different drivers that have been installed.

Nvidia says they will stick with me until the problem is fixed but now thanks to you guys I have more information. I thought it was my system but must be the game. Thanks for sticking in there....

I had that problem on Win10...

What fixed it for me, deinstall the ARC Client and Game...
    Reinstall ARC Client then Game...
Update DirectDX9 from Microsoft to the latest, I think it's June 2010, but not sure...

Haven't had a crash or login issue since then...

Yesterday September 21 i had a perfect day of gaming. I had reset my graphics in game to the default which was MAX. I was online for 6 hours and not one Direct3D error or Game Client Not Responding. They did the shard maintenence and now i can't stay connected for more than 4 or 5 minutes with the Direct3D error.

I feel like they aren't even trying to fix this problem. Awhile back the moderator said that they were working on it and since then not another word about it. Don't think anyone is even listenting.

Is anyone else having problems? As you can see i am pretty frustrated. :(
