Cleric Reset....

hammerslam1hammerslam1 Member, NW M9 Playtest Posts: 20 Arc User
OK did i miss something where they said the Cleric was going to be reset for powers, feats? The powers are not a big issues for me to reset but the feats how the hell do they expect me to recall my feat setup? I am happy with having the 2nd load out but very disappointed :# with having to redo my entire feats which may make my Cleric less than what i had for a setup before. She was pretty kick :) as on her build under the Divine Oracle.

    Mine is still intact.

Very Strange both mine and another in my guild it did power and feats reset. He is more pissed than I but still if it was not to have happened it is a major bug. Thanks

My main DC was just fine (Divine Oracle), she did not get respecced. I haven't checked my other DC's yet though. Did you guys by chance type in a loadout name and hit the button to the left of the 2nd loadout text field? If so, this is why you respecced. You chose a second loadout set.

The reset happened without touching anything related to loadouts.

Strange. I just checked my other main DC, Anointed Champion and she did not get a forced respec either. Thought maybe it was related to the Paragon Path but it must be something else.

Update: I take that back, I just relogged both of them and upon relogging in both got a forced FEAT and POWER respec,
but not Stats. (Was very weird, the first time I logged in, all was well. Relogged them and their Feats were respecced with a pop-up notice of a Feat Repec. Then I relogged them both again and their Powers were also respecced.)

I'm inquiring with the devs on this issue.

It appears that the first time you log in to the DC character, everything looks like it's fine. It announces that the loadouts are there. Once you switch out of the character and then back (whether log out and log in, or switching characters), all FEATS and POWERS are reset. You are forced to use a respec to set up your character again.

BUG: DC characters lose all Feats and Powers settings, and are forced to use a respec token to reset them all.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. After the loadouts implementation, log in to a Devoted Cleric
    2. Change characters to a different class
    3. Change characters again to the Devoted Cleric
Observed Result: The system message "Your feats and powers have been reset" will float on to the screen, and all feats and powers will have to be redone via a respec.

Expected Result: Feats and powers should have stayed intact and saved under the original loadout.

    Notes:
    • My DC is a level 70, may be happening on other levels but cannot personally confirm
    • My DC had a free respec token at the time of the loadout implementation
    • I have a GWF and TR, TR has a free respec and GWF did not. Neither had their feats and powers reset.
    • Order of access does not seem to affect this; I logged in to the TR, invoked - logged in to the DC (all feats and powers working, checked item level), invoked - logged in to the GWF - invoked. On next pass through the characters, doing professions, went to the DC (after the GWF), and that's when I got the message that feats and powers were reset.
    • I would sure appreciate the return of the respec

My DC does not have the problem described above. I log in and out about 12 characters multiple times everyday.
I did not see the "Your feats and powers have been reset" message or feats and power were reset.
I don't know what triggers the problem but it did not happen to me, fortunately.

Wow, that makes it harder to nail down the problem, but good info. Not to wish bad things on you, but kind of bummed that it's not all clerics (because of troubleshooting/likelihood of a fix).

I was luckier than most, I have screen shots of my feats and powers and other settings so was thankfully able to recreate. Those that have to rely on memory have my sympathies.

I had used the free respecs in both of my DCs. Both were hit with the reset and I had to redo their feats and powers. However this did not require use of a token. There were simply points to be allocated. blackjackwidow, did you USE a respec token while redoing the DC?

Yep same thing happened to me exactly so it must be a bug. I redid my setup and matched what i had before so i am not overly affected but if i did not know what i had as my setup it may have been a big issues. Thanks for updating the Dev's on this glitch. It would be nice to get something as a sorry for players with DC's that had this issue.

I think of something that I don't know if that makes it different. My DC does not have this problem so far. He does not stay in PE, castle of SH or camp fire when he login. i.e. the loadout is not activated when he login.

Good point - I had to go back and check to be sure. My answer is "I'm not sure". :/ So, I still have at least one free respec left on my cleric (after reallocating the points on the respec), but I'm fairly certain I had 2 free respecs. I don't know how to tell if I had used one, but I'm pretty certain that I did not have to click on the "use a respec token" button in order to allocate the points.

So, I will say that I guess it didn't take a respec token for me to put the points back.

Just annoying for me, since I had records of my point allocations. If I hadn't, I would have been pretty darn upset.

Unpossible. Even if you already had one when they issued another, they overwrite rather than stack. It's a use-it-or-lose-it freebie when we get these. Not referring to tokens in inventory, but any free respec applied directly to the character sheet. When you use a token from Simril or other sources, it actually shows up as a purchased respec, which you can stack.

The only reason to use a respec after one of these forced resets is if you wanted to change something other than feats or powers. The reset points are sitting there waiting to be reassigned.

Not sure if it's relevant or just coincidence... I have 3 DCs, The AC got the reset, the 2 DOs did not.

edit: nvm, looks like the ops DO got hit.
