AMD GPU bug

Have they fixed the AMD Graphics card issue, where it would tell you to update your gpu drivers (even when they were) and you would get 10fps on low?

    So i install the game on steam, but when i try to run the game, it says my graphics card is not updated (i know for a fact it is) and my performance will be impacted.

    i figured this was just an error so when i start the game, i get like 5 fps on low.

    is there something i am missing?

    My computer
    Sapphire AMD R9 Fury
    Intel Core i5 6600
    16GB DDR4 Ram
    Windows 10 64-bit


    i should (i assume) be able to get more than 5fps from this game haha

    i can play all my other games perfectly, so this is not a driver issue. But even then, i downloaded the latest drivers from AMD (again) and it said i was running the latest. So IDK what i am doing wrong.

    It says so for my graphic card also that i have to install new drivers, and i have the latest- rx 470 radeon, look on graphic settings - i just pulled 2 sliders full right,to get good graphic, when i put everything on max something is wrong,lights are like you can c pixels and so on, so i just pulled those first 2 sliders full right and put resolution on fullhd - play with settings, im sure you will get it right eventualy

    The message that your drivers are out of date has been a common issue since AMD Radeon switched to the Crimson series of drivers. I have been getting this message for more than two months, but I have not had any issue with frame rates. There was a bug report on it and a cryptic developer acknowledged that it was likely an issue that they would need to look into.

    I noticed under "Options" >> "Display" the top first item shows as set to Auto but when I pull it down it has my graphics adapter listed twice. One is set for Direct X 9 and the other Direct X 11. I have mine set to 9 for present until they "fix" the 11. When I swap to 11 it looks weird. They plan to make repairs on March 1st. But if I end up with screwy graphics as I am seeing... forget it. :p

    LOL...well they just lost a customer, if it takes them this long to fix, what i consider a pretty game breaking bug, than they are not worth my time.

    My PC

    Windows 10 64bit
    AMD Sapphire R9 Fury
    Intel Core i5 6600
    16gb DDR4 ram

    Game is on steam, fully patched.

    As soon as i start the game, a warning pops up stating my pc gpu drivers are not up to date (which they are 100% checked) and asks me if i want to start in low performance mode or default. Whichever i choose results in the same thing, a amazingly low fps (1-5fps, even on lowest settings)

    i try to boot the game in safe mode and when i click play it drops my screen resolution to 800x600 and then freezes.


    Does Perfect World not want me to play the game?

    i cannot get the game to even load now, gameclient.exe has stopped working.

    As soon as i press PLAY, the screen goes black, my resolution drops to some ungodly number and then the game crashes.

    i did a Steam game files check and it says "2 files failed to validate and will be reacquired, i start the game, the cryptic launcher downloads something and then rinse and repeat..over and over..2 files failed to validate.

    WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!!!!!!!!

    Indeed i have, multiple times. All my other Steam games work perfectly.

    I'm having the same problem and i also have the same graphics card. My drivers are all up to date as well. I gave up on this game because of the issue to where i uninstalled. I just got tired of troubleshooting. Its funny because before the holiday season it was working perfectly fine. ow i dont know. Oh well.

    I'll have to reinstall it again and try to see if it lets me play. If it does not i will check the folder for special characters and post results and the requested info. Thx for the reply.

    So i did install neverwinter and im able to play the game, but just to give you some insight my hard drive failed earlier today and had to install an old one, then had to reinstall windows. So not sure if some of my files were messed up or was it i had windows anniversary update installed on it because i did not install that update on the new drive. Anyhow thx for the help im up and running. Oh didn't bother checking the install file for special characters. :P

    I did uninstall and I am trying to reinstall the game now. Having patcher problems again now too. This is some of the most recent Alerts that I'm seeing:

    i contacted "not so Perfect World"

    "Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us. The issue with AMD cards is known to us and the Cryptic development team has been tasked to look into a resolution. There is a known compatibility issue with the latest 16.9 and above Crimson drivers and our Cryptic games, where they are reporting either an out of date or incompatible hardware. Our engineers are looking into if this can be resolved on our end, but so far the only way to resolve this is to either ignore the message or roll back to a previous version of the Crimson drivers"

    i did when i was told, lowered the gpu drivers, that seemed to fix the game telling me my drivers were out of date but the in game performance is still terrible (even on low) i get around 1-5 fps in the main city.

    i wanted to play this on PC as the Xbone and PS4 versions ran like garbage, but i see the game runs like garbage everywhere.

    it does not instill me with confidence in your game if you tell me there has been a problem with a gpu driver (that was released months ago)

    With my PC specs (AMD Fury, i5 6600, 16gb ram) i should crush this game and run it butter smooth, 1-5 fps is a joke. Do you game devs just WANT Blizzard to take your money? because when i play WoW, there are ZERO issues like this. it is not just Neverwinter, every mmorpg seems to have some stupid performance issue that stops me from playing. All my other games on steam are working perfectly, no driver issues at all, every game, maxed out at 1080p.

    FIX YOUR GAME!

    i understand you do not have the funds to compete with Blizzard and WoW, but you need to make your games RUN.

    The game keeps telling me to update my drivers and i know they are up to date AND when i manage to get into the game, i get around 10 fps on LOW.

    Windows 10
    AMD Fury
    i5 6600
    16GB DDR4

    There is an option to lower fps when game is running in background, maybe one of your apps installed do that. Check advanced options in-game and try to adjust it to, lets say, 30 fps. Some said reinstalling Win helped, but it's a bit too much to make a game working properly, it's a game problem IMO, i.e. game can't detect your g.card or drivers, etc.

    Im running an amd r9 280x in win7 .. That fury should be similar, but slightly better. I run the game on max just fine. I turn down a few things just to declutter my view, not to speed up fps. This leads me to software setup problems as others have suggested. ..drivers, other competing programs, etc. For example Ive found that having chrome running in the background, especially one thats been up a while can really start eating into my fps. ..not down to 10 that I know of, but its something to look at. Try loading a program like GPUz and see if your card goes idle when not playing the game.

    The driver error message has been around for awhile now...I think since cat 16.6. It's annoying as hell but it shouldn't be hampering your performance. I still run an old 7870 that runs the game beautiful.
