Hi a) 5x5x5 mode, or 4x4x4, or .... The idea is to create hardcore ivent. Maybe it's hard-to-realise-thing in tecnical aspect, but it gives an area to create new special rules, maps for a battle process, win conditions.
What if two protect pally or dc have allocate to fight each other?
if both focus to survive (just heal up) then actually fight, then they have to show,"who are the better survivor"
the penalties over time can be extended: from phase to phase,
-30% HP Reduction / -40% HP /-50% etc.. Both Dailys become locked Players start bleeding -2% of max HP/ -3%HP / -5% etc..
there's basically many way to stop that endless matches, and not only with penalties of course with some Buffs too for example Atwill-dmg increased +20%/ +30% etc. and higher % on last phase,
normally matches doesn't go that long

New PVP mode? First of all it would be better to solve problems with old ones. All awards, that you can get, playing PVP in Arena and Gauntlegrym, are totaly worthless. So players have no reason to go on PVP, and that's why it's dead. Not sure, that new mode will change anything, till you will not fix problems with existing mods. And it's time to change the rewards for PVP. Give us any usefull rewards for PVP gauntlegrym!
Next. PVP will be much more attractive to players, if it will be balanced, so players with low stats will fight with equal. And the same for very strong players.
Also, it's important to separate solo-players with premades in arena. And, of couse, the rings. This rings realy spoils PVP.
What about new mode? The Duel! 1 on 1. And there should be an option, to invite any other player to frindly fight. Also, 2 on 2 mode with one capture point can be interesting.
Oh! Here is realy GREAT IDEA by Tyrion(@tolkienbuff) "A form of SH PVP not centered around lanes but actually centered around getting into the enemies' stronghold and defeating their Lord (like a T2 Epic boss) before they can do that to your SH Lord. It would be like contested raids."
But, as for me, it should be as easy, as possible. So, let one team only defend their Lord, and another team will only attack. To make teams balanced, you can give the defence-team long spawn-time (2 or 3 times longer, than for attack team). Then, change teams, ang again.
Wishlist, 20 toons enter, 1 toon leaves would be fun. Jousting with your mounts. 1 on 1 pits in the stronghold, with options for boons/companions/tenacity etc.

There is another hidden pvp map in the code also never released was shown in the Russian forums as well it is already sitting in the code

a map slowly filling with lava or water or gas as time runs out and combat have to climb up to stay out of the hazards
a cage that opens up and a huge monster comes and starts attacking everyone
an invisible wall that slowly puhes players out of spawn or teleports them randomly somewhere on the map
Bring Back Ncl (neverwinter combat league with meaningful prizes )
Add basic Barebones PVP gear for Everyone Or dual spec Or increase/tweak the tenacity bonus base or stat curve

The power switch (gear switch) for PVE/PVP, for those who like both. As said by others, linking the Zen store would be a pretty good way for them to make $.
Perhaps a skill mode that renders everyone equal in gear, though this might be pretty boring. Or maybe the lava/end-timer mixed with normalized gear, or use the "anti-magic" zone idea (old 2nd edition beholder central eye effect?) that renders gear "sub-optimal"...the beholder could be the watching judge hahahaha.

Ok so I would like to see within the Guild Stronghold a practice area ... ie open world pvp area, just a small one so that one could go and beat up their friends ...literally Just for FUN!
I would like to be able to use glory to get banners of the fallen...so that we still have to pvp to get the latest pvp gear but we dont have to line up for the stronghold pvp and waste 3 hours in a queue.

Not a mode, but a suggestion to revitalize pvp (bring in more players): (1) introduce a glory-to-coffer-voucher vendor, and (2) consider pvp matches (domination, gg, strongholds) to be heroic encounters in Stronghold and give influence on win (up to 400 per day).
M6 gave us lvl 70 and r4. M7 was last pvp (?..) module so far.
Maybe after a year it's time to rework pvp-campaign rewards? Really, cloak for lvl 60? 2 rings for lvl 60? pants-shirt - lvl 60 again. You've got to be kidding, right?

Lionsmane? While it was m7-m8 the only thing I've heard about SH siege - "just last lion-thing and you'll NEVER see me there". Now - the best way to upset someone from guild is simple - just say "siege".
Pvp campaign is almost buried, just like glory. You don't need both to get pvp-gear and it ain't nice. Make them valuable again, and give good rewards for *solo* player.
I have a few odd-ball ones, all with the very simple ideology that people like faster matches:
1) Free for All - Elimination. No campfires. No respawn. Everyone against everyone in a tiny arena. To prevent matches from dragging out, after three minutes random one hit kill AoE attacks just start happening across the arena, like Baphomet's maze engine abilities and the dragon fly-by in Malabog's castle. At the 10 minute (or less) mark, lava fills the chamber. Last one standing or last one to die wins.
2) Team Elimination - Same as above, but last team standing wins. Probably a better mode for balance among classes.
3) Hunter / Hunted - Team event. No campfire. No respawn. 5 minute timer. All the high IL guys are on the Hunter team, all low level IL guys on the Hunted team. Hunted guys have speed boost (faster than epic mounts, maybe like 300%), stam boost, and partial invisibility. Hunter guys get no bonuses. To win, Hunters have to eliminate all of the Hunted within the time limit. If just one Hunted member survives, their team wins instead.
4) The Dragon - Team vs One event. No campfire. No respawn. One person spawns as a dragon (preferably the person with lowest IL), everyone else is hunting them in their lair. The Dragon must be uber buffed and very deadly. Like Free for all (above), random AoEs start happening at the 3 minute mark, and lava at the 10 minute mark. The dragon is immune to all of them. If the dragon is killed, the hunters win a reward. If the dragon wins, he earns a HUGE reward (this is to combat people letting themselves die as the dragon).
If you can't stand on a chest, it is a mimic!

To accomplish the game's goal of making money (zen purchases) and the player's goal of having fun in pvp, I would suggest the following:
1. Pvp stats are fixed for each class with the exception of feats and ability scores chosen, boosts from enchants, potions, etc are for pve so that everyone is more equal in pvp to stop the huge gap of gear and enchant boosts. This would mean a close inspection of each class and apply various ratings so you see what that class excels and is weak at in pvp. For example, a CW may have 10/10 in hold duration, 5/10 hit points, 7/10 in power, 6/10 in armor penetration, 3/10 in defense, etc. and a GF may have 2/10 in hold duration, 10/10 hit points, 4/10 in power, 5/10 in armor penetration, 10/10 defense, etc.
2. An immense pvp campaign, along the way there would be various levels to unlock with glory and stats or the option to unlock them with zen for the people that don't have time to grind it out. ***For example, the 1st level in the campaign would just be the most basic setup and nobody has armor or weapon enchants, but would have the max speed granted to their mounts and the artifacts they own would be maxed during pvp. ***The 2nd level would open a new que option granting the max speed mount, artifacts, and the ability to choose any of the weapon and armor enchantments (all maxed to transcendent to keep things equal) and then enter the que, the saved setup would be remembered and ask the player if they want to keep the same setup or change before entering the future ques. ***The 3rd level would open up the ability to enter the que for matches of 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3, 4 vs 4. These are just a few ideas, other things could be unlocking fashion gear, titles, new maps, etc.
3. Since people have lives outside of a game, the pvp focus should be on keeping the balance and making each match designed in a way that the players on each team have a chance to win as long as they make smart decisions defending their team and bases. I would imagine someone trying neverwinter pvp for the first time in their blue pvp gear and then watching a respawn counter over half the match when they're up against someone with much better gear would make for a bad experience. Being able to leave the game for a while, return to it and still be competitive makes for a good experience and trying to mix the item additions to PVE with PVP is going to cause problems every time.

From a Bang for buck / development perspective it is perhaps easiest to implement A solo / premade Q With a tweaked lobby system borrowed from "star trek online"
Then add some skins or taunts or guild t-shirts or uniforms or outfits or changing colors of powers/ auras /flags ..and add those cosmetics to monetize in the Zen store or to earn .. justifying development time and then have the players create the new map in a foundry contest win win win for every one
other balance suggestions are/is much more complicated and can only be achieved in phases realistically ... some powers already work differently in pvp vs pve and some players are at a disadvantage due to no dual spec mode for pvp only however not to be able to cycle to 2 pvp modes or 2 pve modes on the fly that would be a concern of mine for balance reasons as well it would have to be locked for 1 for pvp and 1 for pve only and even then is that only powers or gear? does the gear swap out to inventory etc etc it get really complicated coding for this ...
