I will have to say, the event was announced, the rewards were announced, if you missed it , you missed it. This has nothing to do with the shortcomings of the company. Maybe the most you can say, is that maybe they couldve held it up for a week instead of just 2-3 days or whatever it was.
There are legitimate things to complain about (costing) and there is things that if you missed, you missed. ITs a change token, not the end of the world.
Those who participated knew about the prize and retrieved it. I can't understand why you're complaining about a free item that was promoted in our blogs, forums and social channels. My one question is, did you participate?
Just wanted to add, why the focus on participation? The event notice itself said that if the people are found by enough players, the prize would be awarded to the whole community.
(And I went back to see where all these notices were, since I missed all of them. Didn't see anything on FB, nothing on Twitter, nothing on the blog. I found the original announcement of the event itself, which had been updated to say when the reward could be claimed. Who goes to an old post to find out future information? The event was promoted in-game, but the reward was advertised on social media?)

Since most announcements about time-sensitive events and occurrences end up on Twitter, I was really expecting a tweet to say, "ok, it's there now, go grab it".
I know other people have complained about not wanting to go to Twitter for game-related announcements, but it's so... immediate.
The editing of the original blog post didn't bump it up to the top of the news, so the most detailed available information about this reward was a bit buried.
While in the change appearance screen, toggle the size of your window from windowed (titlebar) to windowed (fullscreen) or vice verse and that will center the character for you. It's been reported here and I even told you the work-around in Legit the other day. Thanks!
If the word about the prize wasn't announced enough, I apologize. Our intention was to never alienate anyone, but to have an event where we could actually have fun in-game. We worked really hard to get this together, so to see people upset is concerning to me. Next time, we'll make sure to announce rewards like these more heavily.

I thought the event was cute and fun, for all the grousing about full instances. I think a lot of people didn't understand that the prizes were for the entire server and not just players who actually found the team. The previous hide-and-seek event only had giveaways for lucky finders, I believe. So your intent here was definitely in the right place. I really appreciate that you're trying to do things for the whole community and not just a few lucky participants. You've taken a thoughtful approach to how to achieve that.
Nobody is going to complain if every single official channel is used to announce that a reward is available (unless the admin channel in-game goes crazy again and starts spamming every couple of minutes, because the time it did that was definitely tiresome). Update the blog, tweet, make a forum post, make a Facebook post, definitely don't be shy about "overselling" it.
