[PC/XBOX] Recent Latency Issues with Cryptic Server: 198.49.243.253

As some of you are aware from running tracerts using the other announcement sticky, there seems to be some issue with users connectivity when reaching the tracert hop at 198.49.243.253. Please follow the steps listed for Test 1: tracert listed here, and then post your tracert below in this thread. (Remember, as stated there: Remove your IP Address before posting your tests!)

Update, 10/20 @ 11:55am PDT:
From our Communications Manager, @yetweallfalldown: "Our team is still looking into what the cause of this is. We are aware of the problem and mapping out next steps to correct this. Sorry for the delay as we work through it."

Update, 10/19 @ 11:45pm PDT:
We've forwarded information off to IT, and will continue to do so, about the server at 198.49.243.253 and they saw something they didn't like, so they are looking into it. We just sent off another memo to them about this issue. At this time, we have no further information or any ETA for a resolve. We'll update when we know more.

    My hops are fine until I get to 198.49.243.253. This has been going on since the server maintenance on October 13th.

    Here's the relevant data:

    ISP: Comcast/Xfinity, 50mbs cable connection.

    The hop at 198.49.243.253 is the only poor one above 50ms and it is usually tracing between 750-850ms latency.

    Unfortunately I cannot post my stats now, but I've similar values as shown hereunder:

    In particular in the evening/night from Italy/Europe.
    Patching is now a nightmare for me.

    Seems to only be an issue for me from around 8-11pm EST daily.

    I really wish this could get resolved. I havent been able to have fun in the evenings for weeks.

    Cannot play yet again tonight :(

    So if this is a Cryptic server why is this still a problem after a month? You can collect tracerts all day long and the issue is the same 600-750ms pings for everyone that is impacted or do you need it to be 30 pages long until action is actually taken? This is a business right? Making money?



    Just wondering how long we have to be impacted daily until we can enjoy NW again? I know you guys are taking notice but seriously.... this thread started over a month ago and it's still not addressed?

    Do we have any updates on this yet? I will run a trace when I get out of class, but I'm still seeing massive lag spikes while playing after 9pm(cst). It's amazingly frustrating.
