Did you guy notice? I see my Dark rank 7 had 190 armor penetration and now it shows 250, was this contemplated on the patch?

Yes, rank 3 to rank 8 get a small increase. So the gradient change of stats over ranks get smaller, they call it 'smoothing'. Nice, I also use rank 7

Should i buy my rank 8 or refine my rank 7?

    Depends on the enchantment.
To produce Rank 7 costs 15-20K AD. An Rank 8 costs around 150-160K AD if it selfmade. There is a high propability that the prices will fall below this selfmade price mark because the greater mark of potency are getting cheaper because of the VIP program and then will adjust a few days/weeks later.

The only way this happens is if there are too many people with rank 12 VIP selling GMoPs. Atm they'd make a better profit just selling GMoPs.

They are doing. GMOPs can bought via AH for 84K at the moment. VIP 12 player can only buy GMOP for 75K. The auctionhouse keep 10%. That means at 84K the seller made only 600 AD profit.
So yeah. GMOPs are hilariously cheap at the moment. If it stays? No clue. I think the price will adjust (a buy out will happen or the sellers will retreat their bids) but will never get back to 100.000 AD in the auctionhouse.

Yeah, I mentioned that this would happen before Strongholds launched. I'm surprised it worked as quickly as this, though.

GMOPs reached 75K yesterday I was told. This is refreshing to see low prices on the AH rather than people depending upon other's naievite on not checking the prices in the Wonderous Bazaar to see GMOP is 100K there.

    Advice:

Build your rank 7 into a rank 8 if you are low on AD, and don't mind taking the time. You can get all the needed items to do it from loot and invoking.

Buy a rank 8 if you just want instant stat increase NOW.

Heh, I could see getting to 85k, but 75k? Someone's losing the 10% from the AH cut!

Some people probably think "no posting fee" means no AH cut. A few people certainly needed to be set straight from the announcement.

No, it's the posting cost, eg the 2% or so that you get back when an item successfully sells.

The 10% cut is still there.

Can you stack the discount vouchers from Invocation with the VIP discounts?

No - as the invocation vouchers are only valid for the ZEN shop, whereas VIP discounts are for the AD shop. Also, vouchers don't stack with "special offer" discounts.

The same happened with adamant rings and lvl 70 cloth. Some ppl sold them for a profit after cut smaller then the costs of the mats. Most sane ppl stopped producing and the prices rised again. You will see the same here.

No, but I think you can use the invoke coupon for 15% off any item in the zen shop to buy vip :)

Yes, you can use the 15% off of any item coupon to buy VIP. I am waiting for my coupon to drop. So far, I have not received one. :(

I feel your pain. I'd been hoarding bags for when EE launched, so I could open all of them till I got a 15% off coupon. And I did get one! AND THEN THE SERVER WENT DOWN AND I WASN'T ABLE TO USE IT BEFORE IT EXPIRED <Open weeping>

I just went ahead and bought the VIP pack anyway, though since it looks like they may have nerfed the tradebars (I've gotten like, 3 most days), I'm beginning to think that was a mistake.
