Reposted from what I wrote in th Patch Notes forum:

Currently the only thing I care about is playability--the game has become much too difficult to be fun. I see no notes addressing this. Since Elemental Evil I have sold off gear I spent months acquiring, made level 70, bought Eternal Gear (we'll all be wearing this soon), and still get clobbered by wolves in IceWind Dale.

If they had wanted to make the game more difficult, they could have implemented over time and allowed adjustment--over time. Wrecking our characters was a bad move. I drive the game solo, so I don't have incoming healing spells or someone to revive me the numerous times I die per day. I won't pay for Scrolls of Life forever, and that's the only way to get unbroken play out of the game.

Has anyone noticed the Draconic Heralds are hardly even challenged anymore? I have only seen the Black one killed successfully once. There are too few players left, and now no one even goes after the White one.

A roll back of half the difficulty would probably save the game. I have only been reading the forums since Mod 6, because I just like playing the game. I don't have time to argue every flip and switch in the mechanics, but have become seriously perturbed by the current experience.

People actually have been challenging the heralds but it is extremely rare for people to kill more than 2 or 3 before they run out of time. Also, really tough minions seems to spawn during the dragon fight now as part of the encounter. Usually you need a few tanks to go after those to keep them off the dragon fighters. I have seen the white dragon attacked and killed several times even with the new mod but this mostly seems to be a result of some players not realizing yet that the new starting dragon has changed. If you watch the chat box you will without fail start seeing the more organized players telling you to come to X instance and to start at green dragon. The green dragon is now considered the starting dragon, more people attack it than any other color. If you want to do heralds, show up on an instance with a high population and head to the green dragon. Don't expect to get to kill more than 2 or 3, these dragons are much harder than they used to be.

The Tiamat run is still impossible since everybody just dies before they even reach the black head. You take ridiculous amounts of damage just for approaching the dragon heads now and I've even been seeing the tanks drop like flies just from this damage, forget the breath weapons, you'd be lucky just to survive long enough to hit a head. On top of this, for some reason, I'm now seeing a HAMSTER ton of players, including numerous players that previously had very high gs, not take any dragon souls. You will have maybe 2 people with green souls one with red and nobody else takes any, still not sure why, it sure as hell does not seem to be helping.

This mod is ******ed and broken.

While I'm at it, anyone reading this really needs to know how to use the dragon souls if they don't already. Black and white souls work as cures and should be used after the dragon spits it's breath weapon to end the acid effect or to unfreeze players. The other soul colors work like safe zones or shields and should be used right before the dragon spit's it's breath weapon when you see the ground go red. NEVER use a dragon soul on a different color head or breath weapon than the soul itself. I constantly see people use their green souls on the black head's breath weapon thinking that will somehow protect people. Souls only work if used on the same color dragon they came from.

Also, I think the level cap increase was unnecessary, its a completely pointless change and this game would have done better just to keep the cap at 60 and add more content people would want to invest their time and resources in. Why did they even leave all the level 60 purple gear and artifact weapons in this game? Nobody is going to buy them or spend the resources to upgrade them when the level 70 stuff is so much stronger.

I already voted can't stand mod 6, but now that I have leveled up wanted to add to why...
Bored already, Completed Dread ring, Sharandar, WOD, IWD when I was 60. Now nothing to do but farm old dungeons I have already completed to get better gear to do what I can already do better?
Nothing new here. Looking for new game to play.

I loved this game previously and I would have paid a monthly amount for it to continue to be fun. I like how things are harder but not fun when same old HAMSTER just repeated. Now will never pay money into this game until they actually add new content. Too many bugs that aren't being addressed at all.

Increase to level 70, its fine, but force us to farm the old dungeons again where we already farmed over 2 year! If they release some new dungeons instead recycling old dungeons, the whole feeling of mod6 will a lot different. Only the world lazy can explained. Otherwise, won't it be better just create new map and dungeons and leave all others alone?
NO BIG changes on 23th patch, so disappointed, issues still exist.

[...]And GG PVP - 10 VS 10 ?I loved 20 vs 20 , if u wanted to bring out 10 vs 10 then it should have been a new tipe of PVP with a new map.[...]

^^^^ My opinion is absolutely the same!

Bring back the old GG PvE => PvP => Dwarf Crypts rota. Sure, 1337 playerz will probably find it boring since they've played it since Mod 1 or 2, but for newer players (and alt chars) it's been a good and entertaining way to get into a) the game's different aspects, b) basic level 60 gear, c) PvP at all, and d) a guild.

Then add that 10 vs. 10 mode with at least three new maps,, and the PvP community will love you.

But Mod 6? It barely skimmed my "Enough is enogh - let's move!"-threshold after Mod 5's "Blood, sweat, toil and Tia's"-monotony...

I disagree, 10 v 10 is amazing.

Less lag.

More tactical gameplay.

More intensity.

Less of people holding 1 & 2 or 3 & 4 at the spawn.

Also, why is it constantly asked to bring in the new maps? They've been reusing the assets ever since the beta, I do not see how is it possible to opt for the new maps when it's more than evident that the original team behind the game is long gone.

Thanks for the double XP, after you lowered all the zones that were decent to almost nothing, then you get double, wooohooooo, so now the few places that had decent xp are now lower than Level 30 players get for any quest, nice. Was that what was intended, to slow down leveling, shouldn't all the xp acrossed the board be lowered, from level 1 up. Maybe you wanted it to be slow so you could figure out how to fix this before everyone got to 70 and found out there was nothing there...........

Sure it is, but 20 vs. 20 was, too.

And, if you look into the posts, you'll find that everybody says "Absolutely do do 10v10 - as an additional mode."

So what's there to disagree for you???

I voted can't stand it, and I have only 1 question to the dev's...

Who okayed this? How did it get passed several layers of testing and quality control?

This has been one of my favorite games and the 1 to 60 lvling is fantastic, I love the story-lines... I barely even notice the lvling process because the logical progression and stories is sooooo good!

I don't see anyone mentioning this but I think it's worth commenting on, the lack of voice acting is just one more reason that makes the repeatables annoying and nonsensical.

It appears too me that 90% of the content has no voice acting. That being said I haven't yet completed everything, I am at lvl 64...

Additional content I can appreciate.
New storylines to keep things interesting I really like.
*The new invocation system doesn't seem very user friendly for the casual player with a real life or a job.
Making some previously existing dungeons harder so they are nearly impossible to quest by a single player sucks and
Making the armor and weapons that some people actually paid money to purchase suddenly obsolete, that sucks big time.

But then that's just my opinon.

*Update:

Appreciatively someone pointed out the module 6 webpage explaining the new invocation parameters (I did look for it but didn't find it) and I discovered the invoked coins no longer disappear if not invoked on schedule. That is an excellent thing, a big thanks for that.

I am still trying to figure out how to make it through the Sharandar and Dread Ring quests without repeatedly getting killed.

I used to be able to do it with the weapons and armor I purchased, but since Mod 6 all seem to be able to do is get killed so far.

Buying ZEN to purchase new and better gear is not an option at this point so I guess I will continue to invoke and quest hoping for an AD windfall eventually, because spending money to purchase gear just to have it made obsolete in the same areas where it used to work in a few months is something I am unable to conscience at least until I win the lottery or something.

This module was designed to give the illusion of new content, while simultaneously creating a need to spend more money at the Zen store. Plain and simple. The game was designed with that in mind from the beginning, but initially there was still entertainment value.

I have personally already contacted Wizards of the Coast to express my concern about damage to the reputation of the trademark.

I hope others follow suit

Voted for "i can't stand it".

I worked long and hard to get a couple of characters that could do a bit of damage/be of help alone or in a group.
Now? I am worse off than a newbie. I got so fed up of ending dead against enemies that normally I wouldn't have given a single spare thought that I am seriously evaluating if keep on playing or giving up entirely.
Sharandar, Icewind Dale and Dread Ring are now off limit, Validra and Castle Never now a far off dream, and Tiamat something to wonder about but impossible to gain.
And that I found annoying going from one level to another in a single area, having levels removed and making it even harder to get anywhere. And repeating the same things over and over again? Come on guys!!!!!!
Also issues with powering up (I am at level 68 with my warlock and I cannot choose feats or powers for reasons unknown), companions dearly paid (and not only with in-game coins) now basically worthless make this new module a huge mistake, in my personal opinion.
Hope that PW will make some adjustment, since it looks to me that the general response to this module is negative.......

You will have a chance to drop down from the map when you enter Spinward Rise. You will be injury when you try to do the new 61 daily quest. You can't use some of the skills in rank 4 because they have bug. In addition, you never know when will they fix these skills. Luckily, you still have chance to vote. The question is no one stand out and give a definite plan about when to fix current bugs and how to make over 82% of the player satisfied.

the question is in the title. please vote honestly and comment down below why.

I feel that I must comment in this forum even though I am only a casual player of Neverwinter. I used to like playing this game and was pretty happy with it, until the new mod Elemental Evil. I usually play maybe around 8 to 15 hours a week, and am mainly a solo player that ran dungeons every once in awhile. I would buy zen about 20 to 40 dollors a month (as much as the wife would allow) and even though I never got anything very good from lockboxes still did not mind. Now I can't even solo any of the campain area such a Sharandar, the Dread Ring, or WoD. I am just getting frustrated not being able to finish any of my collections and fear that since I can not play 40+ hours a week or spend hundreds of dollors a month on zen I will not be able to accomplish any of the end game stuff. What happend? Is their no room in the world of Neverwinter for the part time adventure, must we all be hardcore MMO players to accomplish any respectable achivement. Refinement is almost impossible for me now and with no way to find resonable gear I fear that I will never be able to run any good dungeons. I am going to gives this a little more time (a month or two) to become fun for me once more but am pretty sure that It will never be the same.

I really hate this mod.

After forcing myself to finish the new questline on my main, there is no possible way I'm doing it again on any of my 4 alts. They can level to 70 off invocation and leadership XP.

My other objection is gear, specifically how to acquire decent L70 gear when I don't like doing hardcore dungeons. Before mod 6, I could take a new 60 to Dread Ring and Sharandar to start working towards the purples available through soloing there. Dread Ring lairs were especially useful for this - they were short, with good rewards, and after a few weeks you'd have enough upgrades to qualify for IWD and start working on a Black Ice set. Now, the DR and Sharandar sets are no longer an option, and you can't start working towards the new Black Ice tier until you've got over 50k black ice in stock, which is now tremendously difficult to get when you don't already have good L70 gear.

I don't like running dungeons, Cryptic, stop trying to force me into them!

Will they, ever intend on increasing the stats companions give? 300 is just useless now.

And why did they cut the seals of triumph to just 1? That's just extremely unfair to people who didn't grind before mod 6 launched.

The game difficulty has made the casual player frustrated to the point of no longer enjoying the game. Having hard core or nightmare like difficulty for the elite players who have epic gear and high level enchants is fine. Give them an epic challenge (just please don't drop even higher gear that then negates that challenge).

However the large number of more casual players as well as new players, should have areas they can play in and enjoy. Pre mod 6 my wife and I (both lev 60) found Sharandar and Dread Ring quire fun and challenging, of course we had very low enchants (lev 5s mostly). Still it was fun and challenging for us. Now the game is a constant struggle for me and not really fun, and she has just given up.

Same thing happened to me and my girfriend buddy.
We used to be having loads of fun in NW on a daily basis. Run DDs and ESOT.
Now I'm struggling to keep her in the game. She's on the verge of completely calling it quits even after having spent a considerable ammount of $$ on cosmetic items, mounts, lockboxes etc... =/

She wasn't even enthused by the 2x exp week to lvl up her char as she feels all the stuff she had previously worked for ( armor, weapons etc etc) and time invested into them, has just gone to waste.

But I'll just repost it:

Voted second option in order to express my disapproval of mod6, but it's not that I really can't stand it. I just hate it.

Spinward Rise is a well designed map with fun quests and very enjoyable music (not counting recycled IWD song), but it has no replay value once all vigilance tasks have been completed. What's even worse, the quests don't seem to offer unified elements unless they are replayed constantly, which doesn't make much sense, since drops are for level <70, and Dragon's Hoard now has ICD.

As for other poorly designed aspects of this mod driven by greed, it's a complete and utter disappointment. I could write an essay about it, but most of it has been already said here before me.

Either way, if things continue developing in this direction, I don't think I will open my wallet ever again for this game, nor any other F2P for that matter.

I have played this game for over 2 years now and spent more money than I can remember on my accounts as well as my Wife's accounts and I have never once posted anything criticizing your support or game content here on the forum or anywhere else. Today my Wife's feats bugged out on her while she was trying to figure out a combination that would allow her to at least survive the adds on the maps that she is supposed to be leveling on when to both of our surprise her account bugged to the point that she cant even set her Feat points. To our shock & amazement (sarcasm) we got on here and discovered that PWE has not only known about this issue they simply just do not care. If this bug was on an item that you (PWE) wanted players to purchase but the item was bugged as an "unbound" item you would have an "emergency maintenance" in under 2 hours without hesitation. After 2 years I have seen this exact situation happen many a time. But since this is a bug that PWE that can make money off of by exploiting their players (CHILDREN players even!) ignorance PWE is in no rush what so ever to fix it.
A few notes for the unwary on Mod 6 with all of its "improvements" and more things to spend money on..... Well, the content has been "improved" to the point that if you do manage to grind out the quests for the gears (or buy them) to meet the "Total Item Level" requirements of the dungeons you will still get one hit by the mobs (We won't even mention the bosses...) and your chances of completing anything other than a simple daily quest are slim to none unless you are either using glitches (Which is not allowed), in a party with people using glitches (also not allowed), or drop a few hundred dollars to PWE & make your toon over powered to the point of stupidity. Also if you try to post anything "derogatory" (or something that does not promote PWE) you will either get muted or your thread will get closed by the ever vigilant Staff. (Amazing how vigilant they are about forum posts when they have players who have been "supportive" [Yes I mean monetary support.] for years who cant even stack points on their characters in order to play the newly released content. Perhaps you should be more vigilant about that issue you think? By the way "Staff"... 2 x exp only does people any good when they can actually PLAY the content you so ignorantly released.)
A side note to all New Players, PWE will send out emails thanking you for your "support" from time to time and will do gift give away events from their FaceBook page.... I have yet to be able to claim any of the "gifts" they have issued for buyers or non-buyers for the last several months now. If it requires a posted code then most likely Arc will disable it for "security purposes, and if Arc does not then there will be a NeverWinter "bug" that keeps you from claiming it.
To PWE & associates; I am sitting next to my pregnant Wife who has just gotten up the energy to settle down at her computer after nearly a week of wanting to play your game (She hasn't had the energy to even get to her computer as she is in her final month of pregnancy. Not that you care I am sure.) only to discover that you have made her characters unplayable because of your neglect and blatant greed based refusal to fix your content after your "improvements"... I created this alternate account just to post this so that if you filter, remove, ban, or close this post\thread I will still be able to get detailed footage of how you gag your players on your forums. Yes, I will also quit spending my money on your content. I am sure that you are probably used to seeing people say this to you though and you will disregard it as soon as you hit the button to shut me up so...
As soon as you hit the aforementioned button I will be waiting, ready to seed a detailed post with keyword triggers to make every search engine select this detailed post regarding your last 2 years of content on NeverWinter, non-existant customer service, and the questionable morals of your sales tactics as shown-enforced by the content you allow your developers to release every time anyone searches any of your games. Every parent & potential customer WILL see a nice & professional boldface captioned post in their searched content, warning them of all of these things as well as soooooooooo much more... Including screen shots & video footage illustrating every point I present. It is not slander nor prosecutable as slander when the content of the statement(s) is based on verifiable evidence (A.k.a. "the truth"). You got a new developer? Great! I hope your new guy is amazing and worth the several hundred dollars in revenues that I promise they have just cost your company. If I were you I would tell that developer to "GET TO WORK! & fix your 'improvements' A.S.A.P.!" How much more money will you throw away by neglecting the players who have supported you, spending hundreds and\or thousands of dollars on your content in good faith of your business ethics for you to just throw it all away for the few extra dollars you are making off of CHILDREN ignorantly trying to fix your bugged content by throwing their money at it while you "work on the problem" for days on end is entirely up to and on you.

So yet another fun mod 6 nerf that has screwed everyone up I've decided to explain in more detail. Even with the ridiculously inflated numbers and the fact that gear gives you bigger numbers than before, every single stat except for armor pen and recovery has received overkill nerfs. It now takes an absurd amount of investment and stacking of any stat other than these 2 to get anything useful out of it. For example, I have a build that is very dependent on having decent power and tons of movement speed(I'm a rogue). Right now, I have equipped both of my speed enhancing passive powers like in mod 5(both upgraded to rank 4 now), 2 speed enhancing boons, rank 7 and 6 darks in every single utility slot, over 3 pieces of armor with big movement speed bonuses(I only had one piece of armor with any speed bonuses in mod 5), and a really good feat that gives me extra 25% movement speed after I kill an enemy(this feat did not exist in mod 5). This is significantly more investment than I had put into movement speed in mod 5 yet my stat bonus to speed is only 2.5%. I'm much much slower than I was in mod 5. Also, my power percentage bonus used to be over 20% in mod 5, now I have 16%(which is pitiful) and proportionally a lot more power than I had in mod 5 along with having much more invested in power than in mod 5. Yet I get a pitiful newbie's 16% and from what I understand from talking to people with higher item levels, little to look forward to as far as stacking power with the best quality gear is concerned. The new monsters in campaign zones now have 40% damage resist or more on top of being able to clobber me for 3 quarters of my health gage a piece even with my new gear. Tiamat from the Tiamat skirmish now has 60% damage resistance and you now take more damage than a GFs entire health gage in maybe 3 seconds(this damage ticks like bleeds) just for approaching the heads. Forget the breath weapons, you'd be lucky to live long enough get a single hit in(I've been seeing extremely well geared GFs drop like flies for walking up to Tiamat period, nobody lives more than 5 seconds). To put the new monster damage resistance in perspective, a GF is nearly impossible to damage while his shield is up because his shield blocks 80% of damage, 40% flat damage resist is pretty dam op. Remember that defense and deflect is among the stats that were nerfed and life steal and regeneration's mechanics have had massive reworks. It is nearly impossible(It might actually be impossible) for anybody to get anything close to the new damage resistance monsters have, even if you are a tank. The only reason I'm able to fight these monsters(I can kill them now, as long as I don't get hit) is because armor pen thankfully was not nerfed and I now have 43% armor pen bonus.

The new formula for stat stacking for all stacking in mod 6 is:

Recovery:1% gained for every +200
Armor Pen: 1% gained for every +100
Everything else is:1% gained for every +400

Im new to the game only played about a month before mod6 and im mostly saddened that they took away the regular 5 man leveling dungeons. I mostly love tanking and have been tanking is various games since vanilla WoW. I have always used dungeons as my primary way to learn how to tank effectively and to keep my gear the best it can be for pve. That is what i was doing till lvl 40ish. Then Mod6 took away all the regular group dungeons. I am very close to 70 now after a very boring grind, and i don't think i am ready for epic dungeons. My gear is junk and i don't even know my way around most of the dungeons, what to expect from any of the bosses, or what to expect as far as incoming damage i need to avoid and how much agro i can hold and how to compensate when i lose it. The 3 man dungeons i have done consist of me trying to catch up to the fastest dpser who is way ahead of me killing things by himself untill i catch up and struggle to do my job grabbing agro. Actually i don't even know my way around this game at all, not very friendly for new players IMO. Hope you gave something for the older players to stick around for to help us newbies figure all this out. I do really like this game and plan on sticking it out, it just seems ridiculously vague on how to become a good player. No regular dungeons to help us learn to play as a team till 70? Really? Please bring them back i don't understand why you took em away, even my dps toon never had to wait in q very long for a dungeon especially during the bonus AD hours. And you just added a new class that can tank or heal there shouldn't be a problem filling regular 5 man dungeons. What is the reasoning behind this? It is very dissapointing. :(

i feel pity to new player in this mod..especially the guildless and ill equipt one...there is simply no room for them in the current dungeon/skirmish difficulty state..and they need those dungeon/skirmish to advance their gear..they are either getting kicked for having lesser gear or utterly destroyed by the mob...Harder dungeon might be fun for well equipt and BIS player..but its absolutely not casual friendly...they are chasing new player off the game..imagine those ill equipt new player that cant do anything when they hit lvl70..they will soon get bored and leave the game as they is no proper things to do to bridge their way up to next level..i know this problem when i keep seeing 30k hp player getting kicked or destroyed in kessel and elol when they need to do those dungeon to get their hp high..and most ellitist dun wanna carry them..its just another fail from this mod..poor gear level bridging

im mostly saddened that they took away the regular 5 man leveling dungeons.

This.
The one thing that kept me hooked playing after L60 in mod 5 were the easily accessible 5 man epic dungeons with the press-K queuing system that could be completed with PUGs and where you could earn various seals to upgrade your gear even at L60.

It was better than normal PVE and the campaigns and boon system which felt more like a chore.
The PUGs 5 man epic dungeons were actually fun and did not felt like chores and when done on dungeon delves were actually rewarding with AD and seals and epic gear guaranteed in the chest at the end. You felt great after completing one of those. It was fun.

Bring back those PUGs 5-man epic dungeons in an accessible form for all levels including L70 and people will come back and play.
Even better than that give us XP after completing them so that we can level to L70 through PUGS 5 man dungeons and not go through the mind numbing vigilance quests.

I thought I'd posted here but it seems my post got deleted.

Anyway, for the casual gamer like myself it's a mess. Things you were able to do you suddenly cannot any more. What I'd dearly love is some newbie level explanation what the **** just happened and how to cope. As it stands now I'm very inclined to throw in the towel.

games are by definition supposed to be fun and entertaining, neverwinter stopped being fun several modules ago.
mod 6 has made pvp more broken than ever, dungeons and tiamat now require insane level of gear to beat and you cant get the gear...
ie : WoD hoard reclamation is now permanently stuck at 100% which means you cant do hoard reclamation to get Linu to buy the greater cloak, and it is impossible to beat Tiamat with random players that are to low geared so you cant get Linu via winning Tiamat.
Gauntlegrym they did away with the manual entry to the pvp via the door so now you get matched with all sorts of randoms,
unless you que with a premade team but meanwhile Tiamat is still stuck with manual entry so you can not que with a premade team to have a chance of winning.

Cant Get the cloak to get your gear up to win Tiamat without the gear to win Tiamat which you can only get by winning Tiamat.
Icewind dale you cant farm the ice required for black ice belt or cloak without level 70 and high gear level, and cant get the gear level without the gear !
Yeah that makes perfect sense!
Then there is the insane amounts of RP required to get your gear up,and the only way to get it is by grinding mobs ,by its very definition grinding anything is NOT fun.But you dont stand a chance of beating any dungeon without the gear,so to get to the point where dungeons are fun again you have to spend 100% of you free time grinding and being bored.

Level 25 preffesions?really what was the point ? why not bring in some entirely NEW dungeons and make those random drops and chest loot give the new items instead of making everyone grind proffesions?

PVP is completey broken still ,now there is an even bigger mismatch in gear and the matchmaking system clearly is not matching by gear level at all.and some classes that had broken feats ,they are still broken ...giving everyone an extra 50k Hp with the new gear does not fix that.just means the broken classes (TR,CW,DC,GF) are still broken but now even harder to kill if not impossible.

only way to get anywhere it looks like you need full R12's ...but oh wait that is MORE grinding ,so where is the fun part suposed to happen?

just so you know that i am not talking thru a hole in my head ,im playing with my GWF (swordmaster destroyer)with 4k gear level, full R10's,R12 negation,
R12 terror,and level 40 companions.
107k Hp ,18k power,8k defence,62% resistance ignored....and get oneshot by NPC's in tiamat....2 shot by TR in PVP...
perma-frozen by CW,cant scratch perma-healing DC.
by the time i got full R12's (if i could be bothered trying) all the other classes will be there as well and there would still be zero fun in any part of the game ...PVP or PVE,
and by that time youll probably bring in perfect belts and perfect cloaks and the whole grind starts again ...
till you bring in pure belts and cloaks ...then transcendant belts and cloaks .

Are you insane?who is going to go through that much grinding?????
