With a Double RP weekend coming, followed by Module 6 in a couple of weeks, I'm kind of puzzled as to how to make the best use of the Double RP.
Right now I've upgraded my Main Hand, my Belt, and one of my Artifacts to Legendary. (This is on my 22.4k GS GWF; I've kind of abandoned all the rest of my toons at 16-19k GS because it's just too "grindy" to keep up with them all, and I wasn't having fun. So they're sitting on a roof in PE doing Leadership Professions for a living now...)
I've been slowly chipping away at my Off Hand and another one of my Artifacts. But "slowly" is the operative word. The whole "refining" thing is quickly becoming wearisome; it's just not "fun," and games should be "fun." But I've stuck with it because, well, I gotta do something with the RP stuff that drops, right?
It's just that there is SO MUCH to refine -- Artifact Weapons & Gear, Artifacts themselves, and of course all those Enchantments (most of mine are at Rank 8 right now, though I think there's a stray Rank 7 or two tucked in my gear).
So I've saved up some refining stuff -- a stack of sapphires, a stack of aquamarines, a collection of Resonance Stones, etc. I'm just not sure whether it's worth continuing to upgrade my Off Hand or my Artifact (neither will reach Legendary with what I've got even with the Double RP... boy, refining costs are just too much!) OR will I rather just wait until Module 6 comes out and see too much of my gear become obsolete, making upgrading a waste right now. Heck, perhaps I should just upgrade Enchants? (Although it seems to me that buying the next level of Enchantment from the AH is a better value than investing in refining the ones I have...? Math isn't my strongest skill... Heh...)

Don't throw RP at mainhand and offhand, since it seems those will be replaced in mod 6.
Also don't use stones that can be used on artifact gear on artifacts. Artifact gear RP costs some 3 ad/rp, while artifact RP costs around 1 ad/rp(at normal times, prices are a bit inflated right now because of RPx2)
Enchants specifically Hoards as we will be leveling new L70 arti weapons. Artifacts as we will be slotting 4 of them. Necks/ belts possibly as they may not be obsolete yet....

I won't buy more RP or enchantments from the market to upgrade anything. The reason: RP and enchantments prices have to go down a lot for the economy to sustain the weigh of the artifact gear and many many times the needs of enchantments for the cap raise to R12 for slot enchantments and L140 for artifacts. No new way of getting even semi-worthy loot of more than 30k is introduced but a lot more ways to cost many times more AD. If you think 60 million AD for the artifact gear is bad in Module 5, think 120-150 million AD in Module 6...
All in all, I will only use whatever I have to upgrade my stuff, 2x RP event or not, and wait for the prices of the RP to drop drastically.

is there anything wrong with refining the Artifact Belt and Cloak? So far no said there is a new Artifact Belt and Cloak with Mod6.
What's the reason of having new level 70 artifact main and off hands but not belts and cloaks? Even if they don't make level 70 artifact belts and cloaks, there will be level 70 non-artifact belts and cloaks that are likely better than the level 60 artifact belts and cloaks.

Not sure if you are correct. It's my understanding our current Artifact belt and cloak will be upgraded in Mod6 to level 70, and get 20 new refinement levels which would make it much more powerful than any non-artifact gear you could slot there.

I think I'm going to make some more dragon hoards, try to get some rank 7-s to rank 8 and switch out my rogues belt (I was stupid enough to equip imperial waistband of honor on her, gonna switch it out for the all strength belt).
Also debating getting a cloak for my HR, but perhaps it's better to wait.
The one thing I _will_ refine is my DC's main hand - got it to 200k shy of 60, so now not getting that second slot unlocked seems really not clever...
...but else: Yeah, standard enchantments and runestones into artifacts, those where I know I'll keep them slotted, refining stones into one mule's backpack for two weeks.

i cant find out yet what enchants to slot what artifacts to slot for module 6 dont forget we have new stat curves.
For me, opening all those (ca. 9000 blue and 1000 purple) Leadership chests unfortunately is a must - I'm in dire need of the maps and mining claims and siege engines and whatnot. But maps, mainly :^)
So I thought of e.g. the DC arti and the GWF arti in certain characters in need of their effect/stats/HP.
Can't really see great risk of bad investment there...
The sticky issue for me is that I have over 2,000 Leadership chests that I was saving for the new crafting materials.

Not that Cryptic have ever incorporated much common sense into the game, business sense yes, but why would they only replace artifact MH/OH in Mod 6 and not artifact cloaks/belts? The OH was the last piece of gear added in Mod 5 so surely if they plan to replace that after only 2-3 months they'd replace the cloaks/belts too. Yeah I know I'm giving them too much credit :P

I never said there would definitely be or not be new artifact cloaks and belts in Module 6. If whatever "thread" you read from the Preview Forum did not come from a Cryptic employee then it was just some random player's words. Anybody can say anything they think will happen but if it doesn't come from Cryptic then it is not official. Anybody can say anything they think will happen but if my eyes don't see them I have no reason to believe it.

Yeah but getting 1 artifact to epic isnt that costy (class arti mayb) and you have it ready at 70

Want to know what to level during this 2xRP? A fourth artifact. At level 70 you can have 3 Secondary Artifacts instead of 2.
It will take 6.6 Million RP to get one from Legendary to Mythic. It will take 10.4 Million RP to get one from Green to Mythic.
If anything, use this opportunity to both level artifacts and prep other artifacts to refine into main artifacts for mod 6.
If you're prepped on that, work on enchantments.
