New players and PvP

How are new players supposed to get into PvP these days? As you're leveling it seems really fun and then you hit 60 and all of a sudden you get one-shotted constantly and can't out-damage your opponent's regen, let alone their lifesteal. How do you deal with that as a new player? Is PvP just not something new players can…
