My GF has that title, and I'd really like to have it on my other chars, too.
We, the players, survived it and kept on playing this game in the first place, not our chars. So, make it accountwide!
Did those characters survived Caturday? no, If you gain pain giver on your TR do you get it on your DC? no. I think it's fine, although other titles like Nightmare Riders or Radiant Stoner should be added even if there was no official word or rollback.

Titles have zero impact on game balance, but players like their old titles and like making new characters. I'll never use Caturday Survivor on my characters, but I completely understand why others would.
I'd like all titles, PvE achievements, and the lore journal to be account-wide. Especially the lore journal.
It's unlikely to happen, because the return-on-investment for quality-of-life and polishing is difficulty to calculate.
I doubt they'd do it, they don't even bother to ensure the continued availability of old rewards - You can't claim the pirate fashion hat from closed beta weekend 3's crash the server event anymore, for example. Which was account-wide, my HR has the thing, but no longer can be claimed.
Only the characters that existed at the time should have access to the title, cloak and so on. I still have that box sitting in my mail. LOL. What burns me is that my Beta Test Pirate Hat is no longer claimable. It's still there, but won;t let me take it. Grrrrr.
I, unfortunately, did not play Neverwinter during the caturday apocalypse. However, I do fully support the title being account wide. Those who earned it by being there should always be able to show it no matter what character they are playing on.

I missed Caturday by one week (started playing the following weekend in May 2013) so I don't have the title, but I think it should be account-wide. Players were affected as well as characters, so why not make it account-wide?

The ah let you bid in such a way to win the item and generate AD out of thin air, and the seller didn't get paid. When it went viral, the economy tanked and people were buying cats from the WB like mad. It also happened on a saturday, hence caturday.

It's what makes these titles special.
When you see a character with the "Caturday Survivor" title, you know a lot about how old that toon is. It's very cool, because it becomes rarer and rarer the farther from Caturday we get.
So you'd love that title on another character? Cool. I'd love to ride a dragon, too...but that's not going to happen

On my account, Silverjon and Gats survived Caturday. Mizi and everyone after her weren't even "born" yet. It's fair.

As much as I want the Caturday title and the cloak on the rest of my characters, I understand and cannot argue against the nature of them being special for the characters that were actually there at the time. I will however vote in favor of getting them as an account-wide unlock, but I see and can agree with both sides of the coin. My vote is a personal one as someone who is a collector of such things.
At the very least, I'd like to be able to re-claim the cloak on the characters that actually got it.

Yes, it really does. Especially since my TR seems to have lost his at some point. Probably discarded it for inventory space because well I'll just go reclaim it when I need it. Nope. -_-
My DC, CW, and HR have it, and maybe my GF, he's between the CW and HR on the list but I never play him.
But yeah, I want that claimable again more than I want Caturday survivor on the characters that came after Veldrin and Eltain. :P I don't even use it on them. (I use Lord of Waterdeep on Veldrin and Corellite on Eltain.)

What's more important is to show how long YOU have been playing. I think personal status means more than some silly character status that is less important. Most stuff is restrictive anyway and that's just a shame. Hopefully other games will understand.
This, and especially the bolded part.... I actually voted no.... like was mentioned before, the title says a lot about the age of the character .... making it account wide would lessen the (for lack of a better term) "epeen" of the title....
I think only roleplayers consider it about the character. The rest of the players consider things like this to be about the player behind the keyboard. The reward was for players sticking with the game not for the characters. The characters are just pixels.

According to some in this thread, rarity is paramount. By that measure, it's good when items can no longer be reclaimed.

Was it the characters who endured the Cat-astrophic event, or was it the players? I'm pretty sure it was the players.
This is it exactly. My character didn't survive it and keep playing, I did. It should be a title for the player not the character.
Look at it this way, my SW didn't help found the game either but I can still put the founder title on him, why not the caturday title.
What about Riftastic and Nightmare Thursdays? Lots of fond memories there.....
Okay, Panic.

This is also a big complaint to me. I really want that hat now on my SW to go with my peg leg and courtesan shirt.
