the new life steall gives CW and DC an unfair advantage over GF and gwf in the same way crits do ,
cw and Dc have higher attack speed and more feats /powers that can cause both crits and lifesteal to proc,
and in pvp that = unfair advantage.
Both crits and the new lifesteal are broken in pvp for those classes simply becuase GWF does not have the many means of getting procs to both,
i beleive in pvp crits and new life steal should be made to only proc of at will attacks and that would be fair to all classes then

I am so over this and it has not even happened yet.
the random proc is the main issue, life steal should be lowered, changed to work worse with aoe, dont provide instant recovery, etc., but dont make it as random as mod4 artifact belts
a lot of ppl want this game to be harder and changes to life steal do make it harder, but i doubt there are many ppl who want more RNG
After failing 32 times in a row on a 50% refine I can say I am not overly fond of random in a situation such as this and to the point that I would not invest in any lifesteal. Now with that being said I do think lifesteal was way too powerful and certainly needed to be nerfed hard but I am not sure if this is the best way.
I would prefer lifesteal to work off of multiples of level based amounts (instead of based on damage) and for them to do 75% of this damage instant and the remaining 25% over 5 seconds. This would be in the form of a non stacking buff to address AoE/DoT concerns. The chance could be random and there could also be a chance to critical the amount for even more.
I vastly prefer the life steal now because it's reliable, but I understand it might be too much standalone healing to be balanced.
I don't mind the idea of lowering the amount of health received, eliminating DOT procs, or using LS severity to moderate how much damage is healed...I just don't like having it proc randomly, especially at such a low rate.
I might like the new system more if it more if it was similar to deflection: easier to stack to a reliable percentage chance, with variable severity.
