That's a wonderfully classy bit of victim blaming. People don't mind dying in PvP as much as the ceaseless torrents of abuse and hate speech, at a pitch that would be cause for legal intervention in "the real world". It is unpleasant and dehumanising.

'Ceaseless' I've been playing this game for almost a year now, and pvping everyday with my HR. Pre elo, post elo. I've been stomped, and stomped. My gs is 19k going on 20k, and will surpass that the instant a dragon drops me an offhand and a neck. I'm not a whale, but I've done my premod rp grinding. I'll be one of those ultra high gear pvp types.

But I don't troll ppl either. I don't corpse hump, or jump, or verbally abuse. And during my pvp career, okay, I've been humped and jumped. Eh. Foolish. Only very infrequently however, has anyone trash talked. Literally, it happens once in a blue moon. And whatever they write screams poorly educated teenager.

I don't think this concept of 'toxic pvp society' is true. 90% of matches are just that. 10 toons whallopping eachother with pixels. Zero trashtalk.
No idea what my toon is now.

Oh it's true, 90% of the matches you have the trashtalk, and if you had the luck to fight a pre made "i so love the leaderboard, and i will kick people from match" guilds then it's more then trashtalk.
how come the PVP community has dwindled? (i know, do you?)

I think that if someone's self-esteem utterly collapses because their toon gets stomped in an online game, they probably have prior issues unrelated to said game.

Personally, I think there should be a new event weekend: all areas in neverwinter are flagged as OWpvp weekend.

    Now that would be funny.
yes, that would be funny. The amount of players who DON'T log on, during that weekend because they have no interest in PvP or worse OWPvP. Otherwise known as, lets kill everyone trying to access vendors, coming in and out of gates, or otherwise engaged.

Lol, I fight in guild premades all the time. Against eoa, exodus, chocolate shop etc. It's usually quite a silent affair, apart from in party chat, and TS. What trashtalk I've experienced has been in disgruntled pugs, and sometimes from random scrubs in IWP, if I've come along and been so unfeeling as to have interrupted their daily owpvp black ice farm.

In the morning europe hours ,is where most pvpers met during random matches cause both european and usa players are on line. That said every time my poor GF attested such a match between pro pvpers i have been witness of unbelievable insults and traps.

The elite uber pvpers are less than 100 ,and since most of them play since beta there is rivalry between them .And this rivalry is usually expressed after the match has been decided.Untill then all are polite. After?

"................... useless sh...t, f......ing looser" "you are very squishy bro" "you don't have the buns (?) "

    "no buns (?) bro"

Challenges to one vs one .Usually if the winning team challenger is on verge of losing the winning team cw or tr interfere.

Honestly the few times i have been witness to high gear pvpers or pvp guild players ,50% of the time some players will go offend and troll.
Might was just random i don't know. But more i remember ,the more i am convinced that the noble ones are actually a minority.

"It's usually quite a silent affair, apart from in party chat, and TS"

I have been in a random match paired with a 4 man premade against 3 man premade of famous pvp guild. Our GWF and their GWF had a rivalry.Ours won the whole match for us.After that he started taunting the enemy one.Which he is surpringly famous and his name is heard quite often in the forums.

Page 6 TR intervene out of nowhere in one vs one.

Page 2 HR stalking and attacking people in IWD.Even during remorhaz fight.

Even if appear silent during premades(which is normal cause they rpresent more than themselves, when they pug)a and some of them do,are behaving with an attitude.
And they cannot taunt in premades either way the action is so fast and the matches so close that simply they do not have time, even if they wanted.

Edit:Another trick that they use after inviting to one vs one:
If their team8 is losing or is even they slowly move closer to the fighting area.Their team8 moves towards them. The opponent locks on them hits them. That's what they wait to attack 5 vs 1
Or the winning team perma TR stalks invincible inside the fighting area .just to disrupt the aiming reticule of the opponent and to allow his team8 to earn some precious half of second delay ,that usually is decisive for the match.

It would be great, I could sell my services as a bodyguard for the weekend.

A lot of these guys are a wee bit disrespectful. Especially some of the big boys hanging out in IWP sometimes. I went there once and killed the biggest gwf, 22k guy, I could find one-on-one. After that they became merely surly. But, although I was one pvpflagged AB among maybe 8 or 9 tentowners... They didn't gank me afterwards.

Trashtalk is posturing, and it shouldn't be taken so personally. Helps to remember the golden rule 'the bigger the talk, the smaller the player behind it.' Let it pass you by.

I don't have a problem with them :).As said they only take seriously the guys they already know.Fo random pugger they don't bother. But with guy they know ,yes they will troll.

And yes,i agree most trash talking comes from mid-high gs pug guys try to prove something. But highest players will troll too. They are not saints or nobles ,as you meant it.

I rather suspect you'd have a hard time finding anyone to sell your services to.

Thanks for offering REAL experience with PvP. It sounds like you have done as much PvP in the past year as any PvP fan, so I value your observations as realistic.

I'd rather see efforts be put into new PVP maps and modes (even if its all recycled assets) than an item that promotes griefing.

Can it be used from inventory like adorable pocket pet?
I mean can you right click it from inventory?

Because if not then there is no way to bind it and I don't have inventory slot for it!
