more than 500, would need someone with more than 1k/5k to see what the cap is.

My spidey sense predicts extreme levels of rage posts starting around 5 minutes after Tuesdays maintenance ends.

@OP - Is there any cap on Tradebars? I Seriously can't believe they are capping this kind of stuff without some kind of mass warning to players or some kind of guide saying exactly what the cap for each item is.

I don't see the point in capping these things. Can't be a database issue and its hardly game breaking to have tons of seals.

Arbitrary caps for the sake of caps are annoying. Not announcing when implementing things that could cause players to lose items is not good either.

For lols sake, here's the official statement:

I gotta give them that they didn't exactly state that "taking into amount the existing currencies individual players have on live" means that they took the max value and scaled up from there.

But this statement is a least irritating as it suggests that nobody should worry. I could find harsher words, but let's say it's careless from their side.

Omg... I have around 3.1k seals I wanted to use for belt refining (I never got one I wanted to keep...). Guess I'll have to ditch that idea and gather even more RAD. If only there was a higher daily refinement cap it wouldn't feel like throwing all those seals in the trash can.

The Currency Tab should indicate the maximum for each currency. Players know that they can only have 7 Celestial Coins, but they can't know the other maximums in advance.

Players will be... unhappy if they unknowingly hit a cap. "Sorry, you hit the cap three days ago, the medallions that you acquired since then were void."

Might first thought was that the OP was checking on a character that had been copied to test prior to the Devs "fixing" the caps in the last preview patch that went live this week.

I copied a fresh character over this morning, and the caps are indeed as mentioned by the OP.

I noticed all my Xmas light of Simril vanished on all my characters. However the other stuff, like the Winterkill emblems and Ring of Lights stayed.

The only other annoying thing is, you cant see how large your normal bag is now. If, you have a limited number of slots for bounty currency, or other like items, there seems to be no way to tell anymore. I can at least confirm, that it seems to have at least 20 spaces.

Same here. I don't see the reason why they have to steal them from us. We worked hard for them. The statement "it's a leftover from some old design" is completely BS. Either you fix it or you don't. If you can't fix it properly, you keep your hands off of it.

Totally pisses me off. They did the same thing earlier with summer festival items. I'd spent HOURS and HOURS grinding getting festival "currency" and they simply delete it. If they are going to simply delete items we have spent long hours grinding to acquire, the LEAST they could do is transfer them to a "similar" currency.

Talk about horrible customer relations.
They seem to be trying their absolute best to drive customers away.

Please raise the cap on Tradebars to at least 20,000, or better yet please remove all caps. With the new interface, why are any caps necessary?

Thank you.

I think Neverwinter has too much currencies already. It requires a very clunky interface and also will confuse and burden new and current players.

I hope new content will make use of the old currencies in the future or restructure a few universal currencies to cover more aspects of the game

Instead of introducing an artificial cap they might even ask themselves why people are stockpiling 3k seals and introduce something useful to do buy them.

Regarding the limit on currencies that you are introducing in Mod 5, please do not remove currencies that are over that limit!

Not everyone checks the forums, and naturally will NOT be pleased to suddenly find their currencies disappear. First you are introducing one negative change by binding to account all the drops from the Fey/Horde/Tymoran enchantments, which has already upset many players. Now you're magically removing their currencies that are over a limit that you neither announced nor informed in advance? Please remember, not EVERY player goes to check the latest update in the preview server!

There is no official news page about the information, leading to more confusion about what the limit is for each currency. Is this the final/confirmed limit for our currencies? If I have 750 Drake seals, will I get a refund of my 250 Drake seals if I send in a support ticket? Are certain event currencies really meant to be deleted, or should I send in a bug report? So many questions .....

Please Cryptic, you need to communicate with your players, and announce this change in an official news page BEFORE it happens, or you'll just end up driving away more players who will no doubt feel cheated that you deleted all their hard work with any explanation!

Or you could do better, and let us keep the currencies that are over the limit, and give us time to use up those currencies! Here's an example: If I have 750 out of the 500 limit for Drake seals, the system will allow me to keep the 750, and prompt the error "Currency at maximum" whenever I try to pick up more Drake seals. I can only pick up more Drake seals after I spent my currency till below the 500 limit.

Thank you for reading, and please please PLEASE consider, Cryptic, as this might be the final straw for many players. Just removing our currencies without announcement or explanation will set a dangerously negative mindset that Cryptic will just remove anything we earn without care or concern, which will lead us to think twice about spending money on items or earning anything in the game!

If you have more than 10,000 Tarmalune bars, those will be gone too.

As long as I don't lose my CTA currency I'll keep quiet. Grinded that HAMSTER enough, don't feel like it again.

There is no need for any caps with the new system, this just hurts the most dedicated and active players.

Nope. They don't give a rats a..
I filed a support ticket when I found ALL of my Summer Festival currencies gone and they effectively told me to go pound sand.

If a player steals virtual items/currency from another player that's still illegal according to the law.
However, if Cryptic simply deletes items you've spent days explicitly accumulating, meh, too bad, their game. Your time is completely worthless.

HERE WE GO AGAIN!

I think what there are doing is to wreck a game to the point where no one will play it. so they can move on to something else or rebuild this one. between the rp bind to account, wards bound, runes bound, bounty capped, blue/t1 drops from t2/t3 bosses, bound gear, .000000000000001 % drop rate on belts, the new refining system(old one was WAY BETTER) you see where im going, everything has been done to stop the gold farmers and they cant/wont other games have had them for 10 years. and they cant seem to come up with better ways to stop them, but to punish the players, and mean while we sit back and accept this! When is enough is enough for us?

I my self will see what mod5 has to offer when it goes live because I am a big spender. But I will also look at what other games are out there, because I cant keep going down this road of punishment when I have done nothing wrong but played the game and had fun doing so. The fun is coming to an end, and very fast. All I see is they want money money money from us and we get nothing nothing nothing in return. And you say they give us more content? No they do not! They make marketing content for us to spend money after we have played so much of the game that we cant take it anymore and buy zen to get something we should be able to get after hard work. So this is the way it should work for drop rates--1/100 so out of 100 tries you should by then get the item. instead they release a pack you can buy to get the item you are trying for because they broke the drop rate in IWD......Im done

I don't see a single reason to do this change. Except get rid of old players, who still remember the old times when you could refine without having to spend on marks and coals, who could get unbound items from the chest in dungeons, who could make good AD just by playing. In my opinion they want to get a new community that will spend a lot of real money. And that community won't complain because they just don't know how things have changed.

Most people don't read forums and don't play on Preview, the whole currency stuff was actually "fixed" just a few days ago... ragestorm incoming in 2 days! And they know it is coming and want it to come, there is no other possible explanation (raising the caps would cost absolutely nothing)...

Your new limit is 500.

Really? Oh well... why don't they just use the same LARGE limit for all of those currencies? And please tell us what the limits are. Otherwise we will be losing stuff if we don't check currencies on a regular basis.

I don't get it why the limits are so small. Does it really matter if someone collects 1000, 5000, or 20000 coins, seals, whatever?
