    @panderous
don't you see that you just destroyed the tree that you bring back to life with module 4 ?
and why not having stun imunity against other classes too , like gwf repeated stun ?

    • Control Wizard: Freeze and Chill: After a target has been Frozen they are immune to new Chill stacks for 3 seconds. This lock out affects all Wizards.
    • Control Wizard: Shatter Strike: After a target has been stunned by Shatter Strike they are immune to new chill stacks for 4 seconds (3 seconds on players). This lockout affects all Wizards.

Because of this change, the new artifact weapon Gelid Eye of the Golden Dragon is now useless.
Please reverse this change, or if you must keep it, change the unique bonus that Gelid Eye will give so that it is a viable choice once again.

Also, I agree that this feels like a PVP fix that has completely overlooked the negative effect it will have on PVE.
    Where'd my blinky-blinky path go?

The refinement window will no longer improperly state you do not have the proper requirements to upgrade when you actually do.

I am happy to see this - it was one of the top 3 items I wanted to see fixed this week. However, I am really disappointed that the other top items on my list did not get a fix - in particular as I imagine they really should not be that hard to fix.

    I am referring to

    1) ... the dragon coin problem - it is becoming a real issue for many players that they don't stack to any sensible size, like 999 or even 9999.

    2) ... the massive problems (both graphical/lag and drop-related) that prople have in the whispering caverns because of the high player-per-instance limit there.

Seriously, those tho issues are affecting many more players that some of the issues that did get fixed this week.

Of course, every player has his/her own top-3 list - you can see that easily just by looking at the Top 3 things you would like to see in the next patch notes thread.

Anyhow, I think that if a higher priority was given to fixing issues affecting a large portion of the players in a negative way, it would be considered a very positive change.
    Hoping for improvements...

Glad to see this is hitting preview. I'm running up against this bug right now and it's a pain. :P

Hmm... I don't think allowing GF's the ability too block chill is such a good idea. Hmm... I'll definitely test things out, but I'm not 100% on it.

So, instead of holding a button, yawn and check the forums, whilst a GF is being perma frozen and hopelessly melted by passives, my CW now need to teleport, put some effort and show skill (something thats no longer required, since mod4 release) when fighting one? Really!? I mean, REALLY??

Nope. The events are set on a timer that activates at the same time for both preview and live.

    You can't be serious.

Just because a class's ability is canonically more advantageous, you nerfed it.

And just because some classes' abilities are canonically more disadvantageous, you going-overboardly buffed them. For example, melee classes.

Now a class cannot not show its full potential, and some classes are using going-overboard abilities which they should not have in the first place. Fair?

But if you're going to go through with this lame nerf of chill, could you at least give the targets "freeze immunity" instead of "chill stack immunity"? So that, in that 3-second window (or 4-second in the case of Shatter Strike) that a target has immunity after being frozen/shattered, that I can continue to build chill stacks up on targets, and if I do manage to get 6 chill stacks back up on a target in that immunity window, that the target can freeze again? Otherwise, if you make it "chill stack immunity", then it's really going to be longer than 3 seconds, it will be more like 8+ seconds as the CW has to apply more chill stacks *after* the 3 seconds has expired, to get the target to freeze/shatter again. That's quite a long time for mobs to be running around hurting people.
Yeah. They also just made Chilling Presence useless.

    please fix these:
    1. the dragon hoard coins to stack to 9999 in inventory (maybe set all currency stack that high) or allow us to discard them. still have since last year the masquearade ones.
    2. in collections Events: "Summer festival" vendor is missing one of the two Farmer's Gardening Trowel for TR.
    3. in collections Companions: "Beyond the Grave" the Dread Warrior doesn't register for the collection. bought it from zen store=nothing, traded it to a guildie then back to me=nothing. please fix.

Yes Ian...just because wizards are canonically OP doesn't mean they will be here.

This is not Pen and Paper. This is an MMO. Play something besides a CW and get an idea of what it's like before complaining you don't have an OP class.

MMO's need some semblance of balance. Pen and Paper doesn't.
If you want Pen and Paper then please play it and stop requesting your class to be given an I Win Button.

still cant believe this is going live, worst that the storm spell changes.

Immune to frozen = fine. Immune to chill = not fine

Exactly this. Another narrow-minded nerf. Getting really tired of those. Sometimes I really wonder if our developers actually play this game.

i'm a pve wizard, and the chill immunity won't really bother me...I still have steal time, and oppressive force....its just a matter of using them at the right time

Don't forget shard, it still gives kock enemies prone, it just seems to vary in how long they stay down for,
lets say Coi on tab, shard, steal time, icy terrain +ice knife/oppressive...

have not used shard in a long time, it spreads the mobs out, and I try to bring them together...I always use Chill strike tab, icy terrain, steal time, sudden storm for mobbing.

I guess the true test to see how it would affect me is CN...i'm usually on CC on adds, but like I say, with opportune use of steal time, and oppressive force, I don't think i'll notice it

The problem is not the freeze immunity. It's the immunity to chill stacks.

The patch notes should basically read:

    Classes and Balance
    • Control Wizard: Freeze and Chill: After a target has been Frozen they are immune to new Chill stacks for 3 seconds. This lock out affects virtually everything an Oppressor has put points into. Serves your right for trying to play anything other than a Storm Spell/EotS Thaumaturge. I hope you get the hint now and reroll.
    • Control Wizard: Shatter Strike: After a target has been stunned by Shatter Strike they are immune to new chill stacks for 4 seconds (3 seconds on players). This lockout affects all Wizards. Seriously, Oppressors? How many more hints do you need? Just incase we can't make this any clearer...
    • Master of Flame: Twisting Immolation: This feat will no longer ignore control immunity. Now back to Spellstorm, the lot of you!

The cw changes are bad. Chilling presence now redundant, oppressor now redundant, renegade still redundant, arcane presence still redundant, singularity still redundant, artificing redundant from draconic orb, storm fury still redundant and control is dead.

CW is now a dps only class so no more whining about storm spell.

Its nice that you are buffing gf because of how long that was the joke class but I'm not super interested in playing pvp which consists of stand in a circle against a guy who is immune to me, has zero issue closing the gap, will probably kill me by holding his shield up and can cc better than me while making anyone with him immune too.

Also lol on no dragon coin fix. I suppose we can assume that's intentional at this point. 5k ad and 20g to remove them. Nice.

Which is why I suggested TRIPLE hp for Villithrax a few days back - still a 'slight' increase is closer to triple than no increase.

This is unlikely to have to much of an effect on these HE's as long as to many players are allowed in an instance.

if this is the same "slightly" they use to reduce drop rates you can bet the dragon will be ****in immortal

Maybe I'm misreading this but does this also address the issue whereby you DO have everything needed to upgrade (no error message) but the Upgrade button is grayed out? With Double RP coming up, I hope it gets fixed.

    Thanks guys!
