Post your favorite posters of this forum here. Feel free to say why. This is your good deed of the day to make another person feel good about themselves, so go ahead and post your favorite posters ITT.

Mine ->

Regular users:

iambecks1 : Down to earth guy with a sense of humor, and very helpful

magenubbie : Even if he hates PVP, he's mature and most of his posts make sense.

iwaslagging: Because he's hilarious. His typing style makes me lol hard.

mxtime: Same thing as iwaslagging

Staff:

akromatik : He always delivers help fast and tries to keep ambience in the forums.

zebular : Even when he's being "Moddish", he still doesn't sound bossy (Which I hate) and talks "In character" like he usually does.

Your turn.

I have a lot of respect for ambisinister. I know I am spelling his name wrong, but he's a big red dragon on the forums, so he's hard to miss.

As for non staff members I don't really know anyone well enough yet besides a couple guildies (which, admittedly, includes ambi).

Probably the best posters are the ones who do not get caught up at the moment. Thats not me =P..

I would say Kaelic for his sound, reasonable advice in the Cleric Forum , plus his guide is through the roof. I think he posts under The Symphony or something like that.

Eldarth, as he always gets my mind going on his awesome ideas for the Foundry. Indeed!

<anonymous> (You know who you are! Aye!) for always keeping us updated with detailed weekly reports on bugs and exploits he's gathered intel on from the NW Communities. Thank you from all of us on the Community Staff panel!

And I must convey, for I may not come across as greatful all the time... but...
All the posters on our forum, even the "bad ones." Without you, I'd not have a game to play nor would I be a Moderator here. Thank you all!

Update: Aww, shucks, thanks everyone. *the pale mage blushes silver*

Gotta throw a little love to zebular. I'm a long-time pnp D&D guy, but most of my experience has been with Greyhawk or custom campaigns, so I love all of the FR lore that old Zeb shares regularly.

Eldarth has become sort of the de facto foundry source, and I appreciate this greatly (though, in truth I haven't played nearly enough foundry lately).

I also have appreciation for all of those (too many to name) who manage to keep things civil while I'm inevitably arguing with them :P

Oh, and sockmunkey makes me laugh.

Okay, guess I have to throw a few in then...

spirals999 - for outstanding audio developer visibility and support!

Zeb - for the lore definitely

Ambi & Zeb - for the voice of calm and reason when I unleash my foundry passions a little too venomously.

Sockmunkey - is typically pretty funny and reasonable.

FullMentalGamers (Zovya, Tsumoro, Chili1179) - hilarious, honest, unfiltered good people.

    ...and about a dozen others.

    Too many to list.

It would literally be easier to name the not-so-great posters, but that's against forum rules. ;)

From my lurking here I've noticed some people. Too many too list tho. I'd say everyone that supports and helps the community, bit by bit. May it be staff or non-staff.

Wow, people read the gibberish I type out? I'm humbled, touched, and a little disturbed. ;)

As for my own thoughts on the matter. I like most everyone, most people here are intelligent and mature. With enough snark, sarcasm and chaos to keep things interesting. I feel the forums have a decent balance between silliness and seriousness to be both fun and useful.

People like Dardove, was an example of pure awesome for the community. A walking encyclopedia of useful game knowledge disguised as a mimic. Its a real shame no longer posts. Valwryn for being complete silliness, that always makes me grin. Her posts often remind me to lighten up when I'm in danger of being too serious. However, I am still assembling a team of crack ninja Eskimos to steal her water balloons. And Kolatmaster for always managing to sneak in a meme when the mods arnt looking :D

I also gota give mad love to all the truly talented people that hang out in the art section. The stuff you all put in there makes me jelly in so many ways. I wish I even had a tiny fraction of talent to join in. But I'm content to see the world, the game, and the lore through all your eyes. It really brings life to this place, so don't stop posting :D

Truer words have never been said. The time an effort that user puts into reporting bugs and other issues in the game and in the community is immeasurable and there are no words to fully express how thankful the few who know about this masked crusader are for all the time and effort they have devoted to the betterment of the game. And all of this work is done just because the person cares about the game. Never have they looked for a thank you or glory.

However other than that inside comment I would be hard pressed to pass any judgements on favorites. There are just way too many awesome people in this community and I would end up with a list as long as Santa Claus has.

Eldarth is the voice of the foundry for sure. I love his determination to push both the developers and the community to make the foundry all it can be.

But he's not alone. I would say every aspect of the game has at least one great champion and I would be hard pressed to list them all. I would take my hat off to them all if I actually wore hats.

But all of the posters who are putting their ideas, their concerns and their passions out there are great in my book.
We have some bad eggs but this truly is a great community and I am glad to be a part of it. :)

Well, I have a Hello Kitty poster hangin on my wall.....

Oh, you mean peeps that chat on these forums. There's so many folks that I see often on these forums to list. I can picture all the Admin's with bruises on their foreheads with all the face-palms they do reading these rants and topics that seem to get repeated every week. :)

The Art & Fiction section is always entertaining....keep up the good work guys and gals.

Which leads to the big question: Does sockmunkey breathe the same air as we do? Probably keeps a well stock supply of Perri-Air. :p
