Oh yeah definitely don't want just a buff bot thats why each aura changes the encounters they wouldnt all be buffs and all heals these are just examples right off the top of my head.

So something akin the way that HR's switch between melee and ranged?

essentially yeah with the exception that each encounter in each aura doesnt have its own cooldown the entire slot would go on a global cooldown. also the defensive aura encounters could also add cc abilities because cc is used mostly for defense or to leave an opponent vulnerable to attack.
it would also have to be planned out correctly or the abilites might not work together.
4E healer classes would be Shaman, Bard, and Warlord. Druid is considered a controller class. I expect a druid here would be able to heal a group in a supplemental fashion. In a similar way a Paladin might.
Druids are controlers, without the possibility to heal in 4e (there is sentinel from essentials but he is kind of wierd). Paladins are defenders, with heal other at will limited ability. What you are talking about is mainly a shaman, bard or warlord (aka leader classes).
I suspect the next class will be either a leader or a defender. So i am betting on Paladin, then probably bard or a Warden (primal guardian) and warlord/bard combo. We have 2 controlers, 2 strikers, one defender with secondary striker, one pure defender and one leader. Paladin would fill the niche of being defender, and offhealer at the same time.
Definitely Paladin, cause as above mentioned GF should be like it, except healing, but was broken ever since and i don't see it getting better now. The GF should be completely reworked, patchwork is useless, you take a bit here and give a bit there, pointless...

Here we are, unique, eternal aspects of consciousness with an infinity of potential, and we have allowed ourselves to become an unthinking, unquestioning blob of conformity and uniformity. A herd. I would love to see a Paladin with a paragon that involves Blackguard. And I would like to see a bard, with options to be dps and heal. Druid would be cool but after what I have seen what they made of HR's no more nature classes for awhile. I cant take the abuse.
Having such a versatile buffing/debuffing class would be nice, however it would almost certainly end up creating one of two scenarios:
1) DCs and some GFs get overshadowed due to the Bard being a specialist in the field
2) The Bard gets turned in to a 'Jack of all trades, Master of none' type of character in order to prevent 1) from happening, thus rendering it virtually unwanted due to insufficient efficacy
Even though it's my favorite character in D&D, I'm not sure I'd want a Paladin in the game either. Unlike in D&D it would be competing against multiple classes (DC, GF, GWF) for team spots, and in the first two cases could potentially do both of their jobs at once without significant dialing-down of its class abilities. DCs and GFs will still be hurting for teams in Mod 4, especially in high-end DD runs, so until that situation is dealt with the addition of such a class would just be piling on.

Yeah by what they did to HR i can see that 1.2.3 scenario is very likely if we have bard as healer/buffer/damage.
Same thing for paladins or warlords as they are in d&d 4 - it is a melee class with buffing allies. GWF is more barbarian to me.
DC on other had in D&D is more protection buffer/ curse remover/healer/ ani light or ani dark character. Not just mostly healer as it is now.
At the same time Bard was more - speed/ crit/power buffer
Druid, and hopefully Paladin after that to fill in the lack of Holy classes. Which would give us 2 of each, if they also added something like Bard after that. So i would say Druid - Paladin - "Insert rogue class". Excited for Druid.

barbarian duel weilders that can use two 2 handed weps in each hand, and then ranged spears.
A world to defend
A city to protect
innocents to save
"Why?" They ask "they hate you"

druid/bard.. my preferred classes for playing pnp... I await them... plz give!
TR might come close with their CA usage, but really the assassin was a heavier armored version of thief that specialized in backstabs. I can see that mechanic working in the current lineup.
BTW, TRs should be getting experience for disarming traps. Just saying.

what class do you want next?
Yeah, it would seem that Druids are next. I was just wondering what people would like.
I know in the past I saw a lot people asking for Swordmage.
Personally, I want Shaman. I think that will be a while though.
Personally I would like the Paladin to be next, although a Monk might be very cool too...
Exactly. I cannot play; therefore, I am bored.

Paladin/Blackguard gets my vote.
But lets see , it might be druids.
