well, i was at the Reward Claims merchant today claiming my stuff from the hidden code, and happened to notice that I have a Storm Rider companion available (no idea how i got it, was it perhaps part of the reward from the hidden code?)
my question is, is it an account wide thing (like the Renegade Illusionist) or only claimable on one toon (like the War Dog)?

Account-wide, and it's from a transfer offer where if you transfer Zen into Neverwinter while one of these promotions is running, you receive the reward, even if you didn't get an email about it.

The account has to be eligible for the reward to get it, meaning either you have received the email, or are a pretty regular spender.
It's not a guarantee to receive the companion by transferring during the promo period. No idea how eligibility is based on though.
Myself have not received the email, but have been eligible for past promos, and I didn't transfer 1000 zen during the promo period for the Storm Rider, but did so to make purchases after the promo. I still received the companion, for continued spending I guess.

They seem to be running this offer in cycles, according to people receiving emails about it at various times, so you probably still unwittingly caught one of the eligibility windows.
Possibly, can't say for sure, since from the forum discussions, the promo ran from 23rd to 31st May, unless the cycle was to begin again right after it ended. The week after it ended was when I spent my zen, which could also mean some time between that week and a week ago could have been the the next cycle, assumming it ran for 7 days again, or haven't actually ended from the first 7 days and instead is still ongoing perhaps.
That being, there's still the eligibility thing, where you may not get it if you spend while not receiving the email, so it should not be taken for granted.

I clicked on the secret code word from the last blog with an offer in it, entered the code in the ARC client, and then went to Rewards Claim Agent.
That's when I got a Storm Rider.
Those blog codes are worth pouncing on when you notice it.

Nah, the storm rider is a purchase promotion, account wide. You probably had that Storm Rider in there from the promotion and didn't notice it until after you looked from the hidden code promotion.
The recent hidden codes were titles and supply packs and also gave a drawing entry for a CTA companion if entered in ARC.
