I have made several edits to my Foundry mission "Nature of the Beast" NW-DJLIFAZNG and republished it, but I am not seeing those updates in game. I had re-pub on 9/9 and 9/10, but in game still has the last edit date as 9/6.
I have had the same problem. I have 3 versions of my foundry floating around. I run a simi-large guild and I asked them from time to time which foundry version they can see. They can see as far back as 5 day ago and some see the ones I publsihed 3 days ago and only one of them could see the recent one.
I also experienced this the other day - I probably wouldn't have noticed it without my version #s in the description, as I don't always remember the date I publish.
I saw an old version, while a friend saw the most recent.
Same here. I need to test some new things, but i cannot see the newest version of my quest to test it. I hope no one gets the old version from a couple days ago where i made a really bad mistake and had to fix it really quick and republish.
To add: Also, the version i can see shows only 4 reviews. But, as of yesterday, it actually has 6 reviews, and you can see all 6 comments.
May have found a work-around for this issue. If you switch instance layers in the area you are in, or travel to a new area, it seems to kick the catalog into showing the new version of your quest. The first time i found this by chance while switching layers at the festival. Then just now, i tried switching layers in PE a couple times, which didn't work, so then i travelled to the Tower District, and that worked. It could be coincidence, not sure, but it's worth trying if you're having trouble seeing your newest version.
Might want to mention all this (the problem and apparent work-around) in the BUGS FORUM so it can be looked-into (and fixed). I'd volunteer, but I haven't seen this problem, so I'm unqualified to do it.

2 questions...
1. Is this just the authors or all players? Reason for asking... If players see the older version, they would not know if there is a newer version. Therefore question 2 below.
2. Is this just affecting the as it is listed and not the quest once you enter it?

I think it might be affecting all users and the quest once it is entered. I say this because in the last couple weeks I changed the method for my contest winners to contact me - but I was still contacted via the old method after I was able to see/play the new version in LIVE.
ie
Old version - contact method A
New version - contact method B
I received a contact via method A, after I had republished with the method B listed in the quest.
I thought it was odd at the time, but now that this issue seems to be coming to light, I wonder if it wasn't the cause.
This hasn't happened to me, I always see the newest version, it takes like 10-30 mins for it to appear updated in live... I mostly check it from Protector's enclave.... maybe the map you're on also has something to do?
Yes, it does this for all players. I had to talk a friend of mine through the process of switching maps and instances last night until he was finally able to see the new version. No, most players won't know to do this, so they'll still be playing old versions, which is kinda not cool. I mean, we update for a reason, usually... like to fix things that don't look right or work right.
I tried for hours to see my newest version yesterday, tried relogging a couple of times, nothing. Then it finally showed up when i switched instances at the festival. Then it did it again later on another character. So far, i've never been able to find it from PE, though that is probably just coincidence. I've found it from the festival or from Tower District.
It did this to me again this morning, only this time showing an even older version from September 8th. I finally saw my newest version while at the festival, then went to PE to use a mailbox, and when i looked back it was the older version. My newest version was published September 10th, which i've played, and my friend finally played last night. It is not staying put, it is not just taking awhile to show up, it is changing. I first published this quest on September 8th, but didn't start seeing this happen until September 10th, don't know if that makes any difference or not. I'm tempted to pull it until they fix this, because i know some things were broken in two previous versions, and i don't want players to access those. Then again, not even sure if i pull it, will it still show old versions of it?

To me this almost sounds like some of their individual internal servers are not getting updated, that's why switching instances can sometimes correct the problem, but not always.

I hope this has been bugged and is on the Bug forum. Cryptic needs to fix this. I have my doubts tho.

I've submitted a bug report on it. The devs have been good about checking these forums for issues since Feywild, so hoping they'll see us talking about it soon.
And, thanks. MrTheBozer made the signature banner for us.
I just withdrew my quest, and so far it's not showing up in the catalog at all. I'm going to wait awhile, then republish, and see if that keeps it from showing any old versions. I'll post back here when i see what happens.
Update: My quest was withdrawn for about three hours. During that time, i checked the catalog often, and never saw any version of it listed. I just published it again fresh, logged back in, opened the catalog, and it's still showing me a version from September 9th, instead of September 11th. For the time being, i'm going to keep it withdrawn, until this issue is fixed.

. . . . . . Thanks, passing this on to the Devs. Please feel free to make a new Bug report thread for this in the Bug forum. For now, I'd like to leave this here in Foundry to assist others in figuring this out that may come looking here first for information. Update: Confirmation received that this was placed on the Dev's desks.

Since the update today, I have made a point to check each log-in/map switch, and I am only seeing my newest version. Perhaps the maintenance/update resolved it? Or maybe I'm just getting lucky - can't hurt to make double sure.

Thanks for running this up the pole for us!
Have also republished mine this morning, and with my morning routine of switching characters and moving around, it has only been showing me today's version. I'll be watching over the next several days though.
This bug appears to be resurfacing. While i haven't noticed it on my own quest today, i've seen the catalog switch between two versions of a friend's quest today. Sometimes it shows me an old version from Sep 12, then sometimes it shows me the new version from Sep 16, and it changes as i move around to different area maps.
Confirmed that this is still an issue. Switching between PE instances did not bring up the latest version, but a quick trip to the Blacklake district did.
The Green Zone (NW-DP66H66F6): Train at a top-secret Goblin military installation. Hive Mind (NW-DN9YKEVUS): Get inside a crashed alien ship to discover its purpose. Absolute Zero (NW-DOVUXHT8P): Activate a massive teleportation machine to pursue an evil mastermind.

still experiencing this issue with my quest The Silver Sword too. no matter how many times I change instances or relog I'm still getting the old version.
EDIT: of course it stops doing that as soon as I post this...visiting Vellosk worked for me.
My Foundry Quests:
The Silver Sword - NW-DEIPWYISA - Daily Qualified A Relaxing Stay - NW-DEEYNZYZ9 - Daily Qualified but going to be updated
Had to work around this for a couple of quests i reviewed today. The problem with us authors having to find work-arounds, is that the general player base is not going to have the slightest inkling that they need to look for a certain version or how to go about it. Which means, the general player base will unknowingly have access to older versions of quests that may be broken or contain mistakes, and may leave lower ratings because of issues that the authors have already fixed. I hope this gets resolved soon.

I have bugged this but I wonder if others have actually filed bugs via the bug tracker so that cryptic understands that this is a major issue. The route of forums to the devs is not the most direct, though cryptic does a better than average job of getting the info across eventually. Just saying that if you have not been slash bugging this and other issues then we as a community probably need to start.

Here is a couple of problems...
1.Most players have no idea that there is a bug. They would have no idea as to what version they should be playing. So no bug report there.
2. How many authors keep track of the version that is live? So, probably, very few bug reports here.
So Cryptic sees a few bug reports on this... Thinks is is just a small problem... And tackles other bugs.

We as authors have identified it as a problem. I am just saying that we as authors have to notify the devs through proper channels about the problem. The more reports the more obvious the problem becomes to the devs. To be honest players don't come into it as most of them do not even know that there is a bug reporting option at all. Just trying to get this in front of the right people as quickly as possible so that it can be dealt with, I will also PM som just to make sure its on his radar.

Yes, a PM would be the best bet. With all of the other bugs (at least according to the bug foundry) This one will fall by the way side rather quickly. And I am not too confident on how fast they will get it fixed. With it really only affecting the foundry authors. And who know how easy it will be to fix?

I submit bug reports on most things, but it seems less effective than throwing a bottle into the ocean with a note in it. At least if i throw a bottle, i can see it drifting out there for awhile, there is proof it exists. I've seen threads about foundry bugs moved from the bug forums to here, and have had several tickets closed with a note saying "we don't support foundry issues." Talking about it here will at least get more authors and some players aware of the problems.
