I'm about to unlock the 3rd area, but all I do is the first campaign of Sharandar quest. It's pretty simple and takes about 2 minutes to get my shards to finish the quest. I don't bother doing the other 3 dailies in the first zone, and I skip the Gnarl Root instance. If you keep the daily quest though, you can run down and get your daily key real quick.

Second, I'm just doing the three dailies for charms right now. Skipping the Witch Fen, because (again) nothing worthwhile drops in there, and it isn't worth the time.

I'm saving my Dark Fey keys to farm the chest in the third area...hopefully the Blink Dog will still sell for something when I start farming.

But all in all, it's not bad. It's about a month or so worth of content to add PERMANENT bonuses to your character. That ain't bad. It's a nice way to continue to advance your toon post-60. If they add an update like this to the game everything few month, that'd be great.

Dont forget you get an extra 50 sparks from the weekly Quest. So its takes a little less to unlock the last Area.

Yeah right, I already unlocked the Realm of Malabog and now to get the 3 last boons, I will need 630 sparks... which at 150 per week, including the weekly campaign, this is 6 weeks away?

On top of that, making AD is virtually impossible (sorry I forgot to mention the nightmare exploiters who probably did...), so how to afford buying keys or buying relic fragment in AH but spend real $ to buy Zen???

Sorry, this is really a pay to win now... (oops, are the forum HAMSTER going to ban me for that?)...

You can get the boons. It only take longer, so it's not P2W. If you don't check this fact, you should not post such idiot sentence. And your math is terrible... 630/150 < 6 weeks! It's only 4 weeks and 3 days.

Did Realm of Malabog area last night for the first time.

This is a bad grind but if you want any of the higher end rewards you are forced to grind it since the rep items you need only come from the tasks in this area. Zero imagination in the tasks themselves, no innovation in terms of activity, just a kill 'n' collect mission set. You are forced to kill high-HP mobs to open pods and most of the pods don't contain a prisoner so you've got a random chance to progress your grinder-daily. I *despise* this type of task, its an excercise in frustration. Cryptic: this is extremely not fun.

The area itself may as well be Ashenvale from WoW.

The Tower of Celadaine will look strangely familiar as its one of the quest-chain instances with a different colour tinge on it. Plague Tower I think. Roughly similar in duration to Witch Fen and Gnarlroot. Felt longer but that may be subjective.

The grind length in terms of time is increased by filling both the Realm of Malabog open world area and the instance with the higher HP mobs. For me as a fully heal spec cleric it was pretty unfun - not challenging, just tedious. Not got access to the area on my wizzy yet so can't say how playing through compares to something with actual DPS.

If Cryptic/PWE want to prosper they need to put more effort into how you spend your time, not just the pez dispenser reward at the end of the activity.

I tell you another frustration on this task, I got STUCK in an un-opened flower yesterday!! I was killing the mob near it and used Flourish (GWF skill), instead of jumping on the mob my guy jumped into the flower ... I was like omfg, you serious, but I was to lazy to SS it and post it on the forum as a bug.

Had to relog, than still stuck around the flower, than after few seconds I got TP'd back to a campfire.

Maybe next time I should try again and get stuck inside, than when another player comes he opens the flower. No prisoner comes out, BUT ME, he will think he had mushrooms or something to see a player pop out :p lol

We got a math problem, oke, but might be me, but explain to me how you get 150 FS a week? Daily gives 10, so that's 70 a week, weekly gives 50, so that makes 120 to me. Am I missing any quests that give another 30 on weekly base?

Because probably he made a typo and ment 120 instead of 150 (the 2 and 5 on numerical keyboard are close to eachother) and in that case the 6 weeks is pretty right, or well, it will be 5 weeks and 1,75 days, so 5 weeks and 2 days!

I am not sure if the chest is worth farming, and isn't the dog BoP also? I got the Greatsword yesterday from the chest, not a bad weapon but unfortunaly also BoP. Now thinking of using it as 2nd weapon since it only goes for 5.000 AD when salvaged.

Also did the quest for the equipment pack (item reward in campaign), but also BoP and totally not worth the 10k AD (item gives 3k AD when salvaged) I believe, although I am thinking of using the rings and make a 2nd build on my char with different stones, that might be nice maybe.

Try /stuck, although I've yet to see these flowers, someone managed to get out using that command.

You get 10 sparks a day for killing mobs and gathering the green leaves. I don't remember the exact name of the quest, but it is given by the lady near the fountain at the entrance of sharandar. This is the best source of sparks. Better than the weekly quest.

You may skip the witch fen and gnarlroot, there's nothing to get in there, unless you want more profession nodes.

I believe we got that far already .... the question was how somebody got to 150 FS a week, since (7 x 10) + (50) makes 120 to me, not 150.

Also the Witch Ven is worth doing it for me, since there drop plenty of level 3/4 enchantments I share in the guild with people who can't get their hands on level 5 enchantments quick enough by themselves.

Not to forget about the blue drops inside for the gold.

    Cheers!
