Ohhhh so now all the bots who farm gold will still be able to and all the real players who actually did PVP won't be able to do anything with it.. CW's "fix" shouldn't have been so harsh.. People build an entire character around using this. Sure it shouldn't have been limitless but you guys always go too far. I can't wait for you to put the rogue patch in and watch the players run to a different game.

But now that you have my nerfed my main income of gold. Can you please explain to me how I am suppose to efficiently make gold? I know farming low level areas isn't mind numbing at all.... *sarcasm*. But what the balls am I suppose to do with all of this glory?

So much for helping friends out with a starter set of gear when they hit 60.

Last point.. Since when did doubling and tripling adds to make a boss fight harder show creativity in any way?

Really last point.. Anyone who has been to CN and done the shortcuts who cannot honestly not see that they were put there on purpose is an idiot. The overhang to jump down to the portal that was fixed... It was missing a spike in the middle so we could jump up.. the jump to run around to get to the third boss... WHY IS THERE A DIRECT LINE TO THERE AND A LEDGE THAT LETS YOU WALK AROUND?! No way some guy just added it for fun.. So why take it away?

Cryptic, please stop ruining your game.

Seriously, do you guys listen to the community even a little bit? You claim to have 2 million users, assuming 500,000 of those are scam gold farm, that's still probably 1.5 million people who have told you exactly what needs fixing. And instead of reading any of it you just nerf nerf nerf and nerf. I understand that any game will need tweaking, but you keep removing features. Like the fact that if you have enough unicorn/drake seals to buy an item, then you don't need that item because you've done dozens of dungeons. Not being able to sell token items makes acquiring tokens useless. So once you have that one piece of gear from a given dungeon, you have zero reason to ever go back. You claim you need 9300 gear to do the top dungeon in the game, when there are tier1 dungeons that are practically impossible with any one of five people have less than 9300. Every boss fight, 'let's just put hundreds of adds' is not fun for anyone. There is one tank class, the guardian fighter, useless for anything but kiting the adds (and clerics can do that better). Why have a tank when they don't even get to tank! Please stop fixing what is not broken. There are 1.5million people that want the sort bug (couple weeks now) fixed & the professions only showing rare tasks (many months now) fixed.
EXACTLY! These fixes would make the game more fun. Whoever decided coins and items with them cannot be sold needs to be quietly escorted to the door and told not to ever come back. whoever was the ****up that approved that change needs the same.

Just want to say, it sure is depressing to see another potentially great game get catapulted into oblivion by designers and developers. Just add Neverwinter to the long list of Aion, Tera, SWTOR, Final Fantasy, and many others. Seems like they don't understand (like SWTOR) that you can attract millions of players, but if you make the game un-fun to play, you will also diminish from many servers to one or two. Like SWTOR went from 125 to 3. Should have learned a lesson.

But, I swear, if one of these developers forming new games pays attention to what caused the demise of these other games and happen to get it right.... they really will make some money.

So now that we cannot sell glory items does that mean that the salvager is now active on the live server? if not then what possible use is there for glory or Grym coins to any already fully equipped character? especially since as I understand it there is a maximum cap on the amount of glory one player can have at any one time.

havent you guys (the player community) realized yet that PW is not concerned with fixing what should be fixed / made better? Instead they are more interested in making more money by bringing in stuff that doesnt improve the game, bringing in new companions instead of fixing the useless ones we already have/ listening to the PVP whiner cry babies and breaking TR's completely with the perma stealth (yes it needed to be addressed but in a way that doesnt affect those of us that dont do perma stealth and not affect stealth in PVE, breaking their DPS...ie "Lurkers Assault", "Cloud of Steel" now down to 8 daggers and less dps on those now. With the nerf bat (more correctly "Wrecking Ball") swing TR will be useless and undesirable class to play (I'm done with TR now anyway which is what they want...you playing more of the other classes more).

If you nerf the perma stealth you need to nerf the perma knock downs / perma locks...ALL AT THE SAME TIME. The Perma Stealth (which...again, I didnt play) was an answer to the Perma Locks (CW's) / Perma knock down (GF's). Seriously...why break one class for what they are designed to excel at and not the others...WTF PW?!?

This game is quickly becoming what Sony Entertainment did to Star Wars Galaxies by not listening to the loyal player base, breaking classes / the game, making it an undesirable game to play which in turn will drop your active accounts and make your game a distant memory.

Seriously...dont listen to your player base, dont create a PVP shard where all the PVPers can whine about each others class and getting killed because they dont know how to play their own classes, dont fix crafting (which is really useless except for pants and shirts) or change crafting completely where we can only make pants and shirts since thats all the current crafting is good for any way.

If you keep this up you will lose a large number of your players actively playing you game. Since it seems that your only interested in your bottom line, Goal /Agenda....MORE MONEY. I'll put it in terms that you can comprehend...less happy players = less active accounts = less revenue (YOUR bottom line / main priority)

If you are unable to get things sorted out / balanced and quickly (3 - 6 months max) with todays abundance of MMORPG's out and more coming out and with peoples limited patience, time, attention span (moving on to the next big thing) you will be hearing crickets on your servers. Also You need to sort things out quickly before ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) comes live...playing closed beta (OMG, OMG, OMG should see numbers like the days of SWG (FREEDOM!!!!!)...just saying).

    Best of luck...RIP

    What?

This isn't even the issue with the Hotenow contest. There are plenty of the little buggers about without the ones outside the playable area. The issue is that the contest doesn't work! The timer starts and you can catch them. It does not however give any rewards and does not give credit for the quest. Fix that before worrying about the actual mephits which are fast spawning and plentiful as it is.

Seriously! most contests after this one dont offer a worthwhile reward. I have gotten first many times and been rewarded with 4 rank 1 enchantments. Thats HAMSTER for a contest. I was getting rank 2 and rank 3 rewards in early zone contests. Wast of time to fight mega deamon after mega deamon for 8 copper worth of runes/enchantments. you are better off straight up farming mobs with your time.

I love this game, I really do but making BoP items now unsellable for gold is just as dumb as it looks like.

You don't allow us to trade. Is that what you want?

Seriously !! Yet another companion introduced into the game with this patch !! (and not suprisingly it is available ONLY from the Zen shop)

There is soon going to be more companions in the game than players lol

So somone as the time to design, develop etc etc new and probably useless companions, But no body as time to Fix bugs and exploits or even the recent things broke with the previous patch. lol, realy makes sence..........

As of now, you can still sell them on AH. But the latest patch on the preview server makes glory/seal items bop. And it's going live on August 22nd.

One more question, if we have these items in our inventory already will they bind with that patch or will they remain unbound?

    Good fixes.

A good thing also, would be all items from pvp/seal vendors were bound to account. You could choose from every class gear(like pvp sets) but it would be bound to account, so you can at least use them for a new character or merge the separately bought sets on one char...

Most seal items are useless because when you finally get enough of them to get the items you want, you already have better sets, especially t1 and t2 sets, the price is ridiculous if you think about their value compared to the random drops.

Also the **** sort button! :D

Lots of people were actually pvping not for the gear (which is HAMSTER anyway) but for the gold to buy pots and injury kits for pve. But, yes, I understand, it's not something that pve carebear should be aware of.

For the many posters who haven't read the preview shard patch notes yet, Glory/PVP/Grym coin items will be BOP soon. That means no AH for AD for them, and this patch killed selling them for gold. In short, they're useless to any equipped character.

I think the best solution would be that all those items be "bound on the user account" so we can at least have use for them on new characters, for pvp and seal vendors. I'm ok on not being able to sell for gold or ad but not being able to trade with my own characters will really make the items completely useless.

[*]Items purchased for Glory or Grym Coins can no longer be sold for Gold.

most idiotic change ever...thx for this...so now glory is even more nothing worth. With glory you could buy stuff and sell it for gold, and buy for that gold, potions and kits. Maybe even remove glory at all next time and change it to gold then you can save some space on your servers that need to save another interger with 25000 as a value...

    *facepalm*

Might I suggest a fix to the Sort inventory function?

I agree, this function has been broken since the last patch and it really needs to be fixed. I have to manually sort my inventory and I do not like it. I have even opened a ticket for this issue and have had no response nor if I look @ my tickets, does it show I opened one.

If the items are in your inventory/bank they will most likely bind to you as soon as the patch goes through. If they are on the AH or in the mail they will bind to the person who gets them in their inventory (the buyer or you if they do not sell). I can not be 100% certain with this, because I have no control over what the developers do, but it is how they handled reinforced gauntlets one or two patches ago.

Over in the preview server bug forum they did acknowledge it: "We've got a fix for this in testing; you should see it pretty soon."

Not sure if that means soon to Mimic or soon to live servers. Hopefully it will roll out in the next live patch then we can all calm down as the MOST IMPORTANT BUG ever will be no more.

Not totally being sarcastic either. I can work around most bugs but this one has just been driving me insane een though I know it's not any sort of show-stopper. The OCD part of me can't bring myself to look at my Professions inventory or I'll be there an hour or two resorting everything. Can you imagine what would happen if I then got a new item? Chaos!

I don't even bother with these contests anymore , the rewards make absolutely no sense whatsoever , on the lower lvl maps you get green enchantments as rewards , even for finishing in a bad position and on the high lvl maps you seem to get level 1 enchants that are totally useless , well I do in any case lol...

I am severely disappointed, but really.. I should have known better. We played DDO for a while before getting tired of having to pay to do quests past a certain level, buggy patches, and more.
Now the new patch for NW has made our launcher unusable. It is as if the "login" button is merely text with no functionality. We also experienced strange goings-on with our browsers promptly after the "patch".
We deleted the game and all was well again.
I guess this the end, Neverwinter.
