I've stuck blue astral shields down on people close to dying only to have them run out of them and accuse me of killstealing (and this is from level 60s!). On the other hand, I get a fair share of 'thanks' too. Takes all kinds.

Hah, I eventually gave up trying to give people complimentary AS breaks, as they'd run out of them in terror. The irony is, they often needed the HP, as they'd just spent some time standing in red, blindly swinging away...

I find tossing a divine forgemasters flame works better. Most times they wont even notice youve done anything, especially if you do it from range.

Generally however, i simply get tired of the complaints, from just helping. If im feeling the need to be helpful and im between queues. Ill often just hang out in the tower district and toss random words on injured newbies. They seem to be a lot less hostile for the help.

Yeah, throwing around heals in Blacklake or Tower is very well-received. So is life-saving intervention from one of my DPS guys if that's who I have loaded up. It's kind of fun taking out the mob train somebody has pulled back to the campfire while fleeing.

Unless you do what I do sometimes when I get bored. Pull the mob train back to the campfire on purpose, run around in circles, then stealth away and laugh at the hilarity that ensues. Mind you, when I do it, most of the "players" sitting there are farming bots. Heh.

I randomly heal people all the time on may cleric. I soloed all the way up to 60 save the dungeons and the random times people would send me an invite. I had the blue skeleton dog from the open beta event. Maybe that's why I didn't have much issue soloing. I have must of the people are open to grouping, its most have soloed the whole time so people play the game like its a single player dungeon crawl game. Or it could be they not native English speakers. Only bots I have run into have been in pvp and for the first a bit rogue in and epic dungeon.

    Probably shy.

As a cleric I can tell you I still haven't done the Whispering Caverns Storylines because it is basically impossible as a solo cleric. I myself have tried to follow random people there to clear the path for me not because I am trying to leach but because the zone is just monstrous for me alone.

Also if you are speaking in Zone Chat expect to be ignored by large portions of the player base. My Zone Chat has been off since day one of Open Beta. Sad but true. :(

As a cleric I can say that I didn't make it to Whispering Caverns. I dinged 60 partway through Mount Hottenyummi so didn't bother going further.
