i find GG waste of time most of the phases.

In phase one i dont see a point of participating at all - you get nothing usefull.

Phase 2 is way too boring if you enter pvp mode, because running in circles for 25 min its not fun at all but you get coins at least(im not gonna talk about the shared chat and the inability to coordinate with the other 3 teams in your faction).

Finally the dungeons: i see no point of running T2 dungeon where you have a chance 1 out of 5 to get some T2 gear that you can get from GG coins. Instead i prefer to do 3 runs of T1 dungeon and get more coins.

So what do i do in GG? I skip the first part, enter the last 10-15 min of pvp and run 3 T1 dungeons. I find it disappointing.

At the start of the GG today people were zone calling for groups to do the T1 at the end of the event - only calling for T1 groups, you know your design has failed when the most desirable result is the one you get for just showing up. The Devs can see how badly it's failed by simply riding through the event and noticing how many people are just AFK'ing through the first two phases.

Never could understand this mindset. Who cares what race you play if the game has terrible balance, economy, encounter design, etc.

Adding a ranger class right now has the potential for so much hilarious abuse involving roof tops and archery.

My guess would be that many of the people I play with would prefer this type of new content over anything else they have announced. There doesn't really need to be abuse even involved, the pure fact is that the developers won't balance Epic dungeon encounters to make melee dps appealing. So yes, many of us, me included would prefer to have a ranged dps striker OR fix the dam encounters so that most of them do not have spammable total aoe attacks. It's not fun right now. I find new content like races and classes to be much better anyways. But you don't have to understand that I guess.

1) Gauntlgrym is Too Long. Phase 1 is especially a waste of time and boring.

2) The Dungeon Speed Rush Exploits are Bad. Once again, give players who are over-geared (thanks to the poor soft release decision) any opportunity to be lazy and they will. Your content is being skipped due to exploits and length/boredom. Shorten the dungeon and prevent speed rushes.

3) The Gear Gap at Level 60 is Enormous. See #2. The soft release created a huge gear gap between new 60s and people who have been in beta for months. You can't earn much glory, especially in Domination, if you're getting rolled and... my next point...

4) Why Aren't There Penalties for LEAVERS? You get rolled because of the gear gap, you leave. Nothing happens. Requeue, hope you get lucky with your next team's Gear Score? The horse is out of the barn now, and it's too bad.

World of Warcraft's PvP rules, queues and systems are far, far, far superior. Please take lessons from them. I loved leveling, but the dungeon queue length/system, dungeon length, and broken/boring PvP hurt the game - especially the end-game. I don't feel a level of progress in the end-game, gear-wise, like I did in WoW.

It's just too brutally slow here if you started late June at release and have to contend as a 60 against all these beta players who are ripped in purples already.

Just fix the full party queuing for one of the end dungeons from 'join queue' to 'enter dungeon':
as 9+ minutes waiting & then the event timing out is beyond frustrating!

How do you even que up for an event? I stood in the zone for half an hour with a bunch of other people just standing around and there was never anything to que up for.

GG on a scale of 1 to 10 is about a 4. I don't want to rehash because I think everything has been said, but I do it to show force in some suggestions.

I will do this in sections:

PvE:
1. I like that top 3? get a really nice blue item. Still not as good as T2 but some of them are really nice.
2. I think people don't realize the best strategy. Actually, here is what I think is the best strategy, please feel free to comment on it. Make a 5 man group, camp a four zone section. Set loot to master looter (do we have that?) or just ffa. Have one person loot. Have that person turn in while the other 4 keep farming the 4 zone section. This makes grouping essential for good strategy while running around solo less attractive but still not being severely punished. The loot for top 3 goes to the class.
3. Please have a timer showing when the elemental portion of the event is over. Or a countdown saying "2 minutes left".
4. The big dude in the middle show be a T3 boss lvl event. He should drop tons of bardings or weapons. A TON!! He should only spawn 1 time.
5. Make the event shorter. 20 minutes each. In PVP you get a bad group of peeps or a really good one and it is just murder waiting 30 minutes for a clear loss. It
will also alleviate the FC farming. Also, come on, really? How do you guys not see the "shortcut"? Seriously guys, your lack of awareness is glaring.

PVP:
1. Separate the points. As it is now all people do is capture nodes and not even fight. And that is the right strategy if you want to win. At least it is with no real means of communicating to the entire team. Reward top 5 in kill points and top 5 in capture points.
2. The catapults are worthless. You get a warning and is easy to avoid. Either make the catapult encompass the entire shrine so you have to exit the shrine to avoid or remove the verbal/typed warning and make the red floor warning shorter so you would have to "dodge" to avoid it. Right now the best strat is to collect food as the catapult event is working and just ignore the catapults. Then when the giant event happens they turn in a mass load of food.
3. The PvP buff from PvE. Honestly I don't even know what it is. It should be significant so people want to win the PvE but not so large that people just give up in PvP. My suggestion is make it a speed buff. Or make it an item buff. The winning PvE side gets 10 pvp potions. Of course make the potions bound and decay. Any stat or defense buff is worthless because like I said earlier the best way to win is to avoid the fights. If you got speed you can avoid the fights better and if you got a potion you can survive while you are running away from lopsided fights.
4. Rewards for people who contribute during the catapult/giant phase. Make it a threshold for the fraken botters. Like either 10 items (which is insanely easy) or 500 points in pvp.

Phase 3:
1. I don't think a GS requirement is fair. That being said, it sucks to go in with someone who could not even enter a T1 dungeon. It is almost a certain loss if it is the DC/TR/CW.
T1: is a joke. Fix the shortcut for the love of all that is good. Fire the guy who yet again failed in design. The queue system is horrible. Had a FULL group and it would not let us in the dungeon. Waited 10 minutes before we gave up. Then I queued individually because I am more stubborn and got in like 8 minutes later. What is the deal with that?
T2: Well at least there is no throwing mobs off of a ledge or bridge. Thank you for that. Guess what people actually ask for a GWF for the DK dungeon. As for the mechanics... it is good enough. Not gonna ask for the moon. The drops need to be better. I just won't play it as is. If I don't go in with a made group it is near hopeless. To risk suffering through that rage fest of 18 year olds yelling at each other is not worth 5 coins.

General Suggestions:
I know it is early and you are obviously looking to add/change it since you opened this thread, so hopefully you will change/add stuff.
1. The grym coin sets are not as good as T2 and not as good as some T1s. I am not advocating it be T3 since you don't want recent lvl 60s to grind away and bypass all the T2/CN and get superior gear. It would also HAMSTER a lot of people off. In this you are in a lose/lose situation. There are marketing strategies in real life where you have limited high end items and thus insane prices. Then there are markets where you have a wealth of items of various value and have various prices. In the former you limit currency. In the later you flood the market with currency. Either way works. You guys did neither. You have limited items of low value and you limit currency. Either make the items truly worth the time it would take to get 75 coins or put a HAMSTER load of items for sale. Put outfits, mounts, dyes, Savage enchants, pets, crafting items that only drop here to make grym armor or (in the future, grym weapons). Make two different coins. Grym coins and Mithral grym coins. If the DK dropped mithral grym coins and that was used to get comparable CN type items, trust me people will try hard to win in GG. Oh sure you will get a troll fest about how unfair it is to run a socialistic type mechanic but F-those guys. As it is, I rather do FC 3 times and get 9 coins rather than run DK 1 time and get 5 coins. Granted if you fix the shortcut it will be tough to run FC 3 times.

The game is stagnant as of now. I log in and mark the DD time. Play a couple of hours and log off. Before I had to argue with myself to not spend anymore money. Now I don't even think about spending more money. In short neverwinter is one good game from being uninstalled. August 27th. That is my deadline. Not whining or complaining. Just giving you my feedback. When FFXIV is rebooted and NW is still as it is now. I am gone. Heck, I might be gone July 8th when Civ 5 Brave New World gets released.

I am rooting for you guys, but GG did not do it.

Fix the shortcuts , exploits etc.

And pick some exploiters and deal with them!!!

Start killing AFK accounts...

Or add a new queue 'Play the Game' 'Exploit anything and everything'

I do hope you guys can find a way to make it worth someone setting up their life scheduled to join it, or like some of the other timed events find a way to make it as a incentive like the bonus PVP glory, and not I should only do this, when there is a bonus for it.
between sleep and work I miss this event way too often and it gets frustrating, especially when playing a CW and sitting in queue for half the final event to get in a group that takes another hour to finally fail on last boss.
Oh and speaking of queues... if soeone declines, don't port me into a dungeon with 2 other cws and no one else, and make me requeue, I have lost entire DD events because this happened 3 times, with a wait of at least 5 minutes in queue each time, and after about 30 minutes into DD event, getting a group seems to become all but impossible, since most tanks/heals are already running.

The only way to "fix" speed running the t1 is by adding a couple invisible walls and adding more doors. A lot more doors.
Can still do 4-5 Fardelvers just by running straight to the mimic door and aoeing the entire instance down at once.

What desperately needs to happen is making the t2 dungeon rewards on par or better then running 3-5 t1s.

1) GG is too long after talking with some guildies we all agree the reward isn't great enough at the end for 90mins spent.
Fix: first 2 phases made into 1 phase, but allow pvp as soon as GG starts. That way it cuts back on the PvE by 30mins cause farming trash is boring for 60mins if you are a PvE only player. This makes it an even 30min pve/pvp. as for the DD event during GG for the dungeon and getting coins from the box? lame. Its DD so make the chest drop the loot and boss drop the coins 3 coins t1 7 coins t2 and everyone gets a piece of random chest loot like the real DD event.
2)The PvE for the first and second phase is great. it is interactive an tells you onscreen what to do and if you look on your map where to go. it is however too long.
3) The PvP map for GG is to big or has too many Cap points. Make it 3 cap points or make it take 5 or more ppl to contest a point that way you don't have the solo unkillable GWFs standing on points running in circles. Right now its just a Zerg train don't go against the flow or get smashed. PvP is no where in GG its all running to points. Maybe random PvE mobs that agro ppl when they run by like an open world environment. Its hard to fix a map that is too vast and to many points unless you make it 40v40, but I'm sure it would be very laggy when the 2 trains meet.
4)PvE phase 3 t2 dungeon is way too long for the small reward making t1 easier to farm for tokens. that being said both dungeons can have someone run an die at end and all respawn at campsite. maybe insert mini boss's and make part of dungeon quest to get reward at end can fix this issue.

It would be a better event if these issues are addressed also maybe GG pvp map open at all times winners get 3 gg coins and losers get glory. and the dungeons open all the time but t2 dungeon only for winners t1 for losers no coins needed here so ppl that have work or what ever to get their daily GG dungeon done. The PvE gg zone open for like a new drop turn-ins so ppl that cant join event for pve can turn-in as well to get daily done but is a different item so that it doesn't somehow become a glitch and is used during event

P1 could be eliminated altogether and no one would really notice. There are absolutely no tangible rewards.

Just put the forge/stable and blasphemer into p2. 60 minute event. Everyone wins.

Currently gg goes like this.
Phase 1: Sit in campfire and complain in mumble about how terrible the pve is and how they should allow ppl to queue for the pvp portion anytime (i.e., 24/7).
Phase 2: Queue up and hope to god that the random number generator that seems to decide who actually gets into a match likes you. Complain about how its stupid that you cannot queue as a 20 man guild.
Phase 3: Farm the tier 1 dungeon 3-5 times for coins. While complaining about how terrible the pve is.

Once its over, check the calendar to see when next gg is. Usually its like 4+ hours away. Log off.

The Armor for the CW looks like HAMSTER! What were you guys thinking? What is It going to take to get some simple robes?

The weapon has the exacte same skin as the t2 weapon. You guys could have made in uniqe. Is that to much to ask.

The PvE is not fun. For one you cant even tell who the cometition is and It is way to long time wise for the reward. Should be atleast half that long.

The PVP is just a big zerg fest running in a circle. No real skilled PvP.

Dungeons are ok but really easy with HAMSTER rewards.

Make the event avalable 24/7.

From the most recent patch notes:
Player vs Player Maps
You may now not target from or into starting respawn areas to help prevent fights from occurring in a desired safe area
This means fights shouldn’t start until you jump down from the respawn area

Seems like they forgot to fix this for GG. Had 5-7 people from the opposing team camping our campfire, killing everyone as they spawned. All they had to do was walk partially up a mountain and Shift dodge into the safe zone.

There is no reason to play gaunt once the price of T2 armor drops below 100k. The only thing that makes it somewhat worthwhile to play is the pvp event because it's fun, but do we really want to play one pvp match like that every 6 hours? If the queue even pops, that is.

The queue system is the most annoying thing in gaunt - there should be no excuse for a 5 man party having to wait 10 minutes for a queue to pop or not a single pvp queue popping up for the entire 30 minutes. Lastly, the first stage of gaunt (PvE) is utterly boring. No one even bothers with it anymore - you should just remove it and replace it with more PvP matches. That is all.

Spawn camping in Gauntyl is getting out of hand.

Devs, i thought u said, it is no longer possible to fight in spawn area? Granted you did fix it in rivenscare and hotenow, but it is still active in gauntyl.

A whole bunch of people can camp in the enemies re-spawn area and just keep killing anyone who spawns.
Please look into this as it is getting out of hand.

Thank you.

Unfortunately, the content of this post, is in violation of the forums rules, and thus I am forced to remove its content..
. . Detailing of Exploits on the Forums is not okay; It may seem like a good idea to post a report on an Exploit for the Developers and in the case of Game Bugs, it is! Just not with Exploits, for by doing so you're also informing the rest of the public how to perform said exploit -- which is considered just as bad as exploiting yourself. Naming & Shaming is likewise not allowed.

It's crossed the border. This is a straight up exploit. Only the campers have any chance of winning the event, and it straight up ruins the whole event for anyone who gets camped. Unless you're saying that spawn camping is an intended strategy built into this game, this is an exploit. It's also one of the lowest forms of griefing.

Here's a link to a stream that better shows just how exploitive this is. I think it's a better example than the screenshot you had in your post...

I'm not sure they want the "Crypt advantage", so much as to grief people. The T1 is more profitable in general anyway, as it yields a ton of coins if you speedrun it; you can get 3-5 runs in, if you don't hang around and have pretty good AoE.
