... Sometimes there is a need to kick right before boss battles, like to dump the dps-DC who won't heal when the party really needs the heals.
Thats the reason I dont do random ques with my buff/debuff DC. A premade kills the boss in ELOL/ VT in a minute with buff/ debuff DC and buff GF (+ animations and running phases). A PuG team wonders about the high dmg clearing the dungeon and kicks the DC before the boss fight, 'bc he does not heal'.
If you dont like his playstyle, kick him at the beginning and dont waste his time.
^^ This exactly!!! There should be mechanics at play to determine the afk'ers. That control should have never been in the hands of another player!!! Too many players learning their own mechanics are being kicked thus not allowing them to gain the experience needed. I agree 1000% the votekick system should be completely removed.
Better yet, leave the party if you don't like the way the party does things. Not up to you to decide how others should play. Respect the rest of the team and leave if you don't like it.
As I said I DONT do PuG, so no problem there. BUT how should the debuff/buff DC know, what the 'party' wants in a PUG team, plz tell me. Or are you one of the guys claiming, that all DCs HAVE to be heal DCs or they are not allowed to play?
We once had a random CW in our team, bc we lacked one player. The partyleader, who build the team, told him, that we have a buff/ debuff DC, he cant expect much of heal exept AS and DG. Despite the fact, that he was told what to expect, he was very verbal about the 'lack of heal, incompetent *** etc.'. After a while I got fed up with his BS and told him, 'look at the charts, your dmg sucks, thats why you dont get enough heal' (he dealt 1/2 of the dmg of the other dps classes). The other 3 player in our party talked with me in TS and said, 'he tries to kick you'. He left on his own.
What is the way the 'party' does things. In a premade its the way 4 ppl agreed upon and the 5th was told about in the beginning. In a PUG team? The one who does the most crying in party chat sets the rules, I dont think so. BTW I can heal with my DC, bc I have decent gear and buff, debuff and heal skills maxed (90+ power points). I do heal, when needed or agreed upon, but to let another player carry a PUG team or just spent his time until the boss and THEN kick him is a move earning a place on my ignore.
Yesterday I joined a PUG in ELOL with my CW. They stood in front of the boss and died, as one of them wrote, for almost a hour. The OP and the GF had bad gear. I gave them some tries. Another player left and a good geared GWF entered. He PMed me, the OP is undergeared and the reason for the fail. I replied, that I know and furthermore the GF is bad, too, but they cleared the dungeon and I wont kick them. A few tries later I told them, that we cant do this with this group and I said to the OP, that he should search for a premade to campensate for his lack of gear, if he want to win (he has never completed ELOL, as he said). After that I left.
I would never say, dont kick someone. I kicked ppl bc they lied to me concerning their GS, I even kicked ppl bc of rude language, after I asked them to tone it down and they kept ranting on, but I would NEVER clear a dungeon with a team and kick someone at the end of it bc I dont like his gear/ skill/ playstyle AT THE END OF THE DUNGEON. If he is that bad, I leave after some tries, everything else is selfish. You know what to expect from your team after a few minutes. Stick with it or leave, but dont kick at the end.

Actually, it sounds like these ARE bots as opposed to AFK'ers. How hard would it be to script a macro to queue and spam CTRL+1 every five seconds?
The problem is, that at some point, bots NEED to be dealt with by Cryptic. Trying to "twart" them just does not work.

Agreed 1000%
