I updated the Gamepedia wiki with the actual Achievements involved in the promo codes today. I had been slacking since it also meant (in my mind) editing the Achievement page to add the "Special" category but I figured it was about time to get it over with.
I probably should have done that since editing the achievement page is something I normally do.
There is a contest/giveaway for the physical Valindra collector's box set at OnRPG right now. Polish magazine CD-Action apparently has a code for a companion pet Mercenary (that is a Drow) printed on a disk that comes with their current issue http://www.cdaction.pl/news-34362/zawartosc-cd-action-102013.html ). So if you are in the right region to grab an issue (dissapointingly I couldn't find any way to order a copy of the mag directly from their site) check it out.

There is promotional code printed on one of disks attached to the newest issue (in stores from today to 09/23/2013). Two DVD-9 disks contains Neverwinter installer, four games (Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising in English version, Rochard, IL-2 Sturmovik and Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart with Polish subtitles) and promotional code for pet to Star Wars: The Old Republic. Price isn’t high – 17 PLN (5€ or 103 Kč).

I found only subscription for 12 issues, but its costs 322 PLN (76 EUR or 102 USD). But every issue contains at least one full version of video game (unfortunately, most with Polish subtitles or dubbing, but some of this games requires Steam to work, so there is possibility to change language) - from some indie games to AAA titles, like Dead Island, Mass Effect, Far Cry 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s, Kane & Lynch 2, Jast Cause 2, Tomb Raiders etc. If I find possibility to buy this magazine online, I let you know. For now the biggest chance to get this code is Allegro - try to type "neverwinter" + "kod", "kod bonusowy", "towarzysz" or "kod na towarzysza".

I clicked on Buy Now like an idiot without realizing that they cannot accept paypal or credit cards for such transactions, only bank transfers... when I contacted the buyer requesting him to create a listing on ebay so that I could pay, he just emailed the code to me with nothing else mentioned on the email.... i sent him an email asking for payment options but no reply... I haven't used the code and really don't know what to do!?

Well - in the future - I'd be sure to make sure the payment type. I understand it is hard to do especially for anyone who doesn't speak the language. (Including myself.) I got a friend in Poland to buy a copy for me - and just added the code .... that mercenary looks pretty cool - black armor and glowing blue eyes. The best thing, of course, is that like the faithful Initiate it is account-wide, so all my alts get a copy.

It doesn't work if you buy the iPad edition (which is also on sale) - I tried - so buy the Google one and follow the instructions. I got a code within a couple of hours and gave it away to someone who needed an account-wide green mount more than I did.

I think can use something like Hotspot Shield to hide where you are and buy one (I live in Norway and have a paid VPN to watch Hulu and Netflix so I used that). You might need a gmail account that says you are in America though.

Just imagine a dungeon run with the whole party made up of Drow and Renegades, all with the Mercenary or Wayward Wizard as companion pets, and taking care to set each of the pets to a different skin. 10 Drow worth of epic.

Well I did this and its been 2 days and no reply back with a code. anyone else not gotten a code since the 99 cents sale?
I managed to get one for .99 right when they went on sale - my guess is they're getting flooded with requests now due to the lower price. They seem to have to approve and email out each code individually. Be patient, it might take a little while.
I also managed to get a drow renegade by finding the magazine forum and asking nicely if anyone didn't want theirs - lol. But I think it was a fluke, and I don't recommend trying it now. They might get angry.
BTW - I did get the mercenary code from CD Action - on the USA side at least no in-game mail appears. It simply shows up on the Rewards Claim Agent. Others may have different experiences, but none of my characters received the alert standard mail.
