MGSVThiefUnreal Engine 4
honestly, if you haven't seen any of these shame on you, and if you have share your thoughts! i'm a big fan of the two franchises i linked, and am incredibly pleased to see the one game that turned me on to rogues finally get a proper reboot. as for the engine, i cannot wait to see what developers do with it, the demo is absolutely stunning and deserves a look even if you dislike the two games i linked.

Thing I loved about the Thief games was that, ideally, you don't want to get in ANY fights. You want to sneak, distract, and circumvent guards/traps.
For the longest time, my avatar in all online forums was the Keeper symbol from the Thief games.

Water arrow! Where is my water arrow!
it was the first game to truly capture the idea of a shadowdancer, and punished you with overpowered npc's if you thought it was an action game. i remember playing it when i was younger and having that rambo mentality of playing an action game only to be met with countless deaths at the hands of those murderous town gaurds lmfao. this is my only concern with the reboot, back then thief fell into a niche of gamers that in my opinion doesn't exist anymore, the modern gamer is too busy worrying about hacking-and-slashing or spraying-and-praying to appreciate a throw back reboot. i like to call it the call of duty generation/mentality; fast paced gunning gaming for people with little to no patience, and i have to admit as an old school counter strike turned cod player i fall dead center in this group. my only hope is that they retain some of that thief nostalgia, misdirection and distraction, that core game play that set the game apart so long ago, and hopefully it wont turn out to be a darker version of assassin's creed.
hmmmm... you pulled the trigger on defiance? how is it? i've been giving it a glance but am reluctant to act. as far as the engine though what i linked is just a graphical tech demo, not footage of a new unreal tourny game as much as i want it to be
needless to say it is a very impressive engine and i can't wait to see who ends up with it and what they do with it.
this made me smile ear to ear, do you remember the sound they made when they hit a surface?

I love the sniping the most in it, head shots are glorious!
If you have the money to burn, I'd give this a go if you're a FPS and MMO fan. You might still be able to snag some beta keys too.
