Hey I know there are a few STO fans here along with some Cryptic fans so I wanted to pass this along here. Massively is having a voting contest between STO and LotRO. Vote if you would like.

LotRO is ahead 4169 to 1603. The LotRO fans are all smug on their forums talking trash and Turbine is leveraging Twitter. Don't let them get away with it! Vote now!

That's a tough one, because I gotta support my company, man! At the same time, I'm not a fan of Star Trek, and I really like Lord of the Rings.

I understand the dilemma. It's all fun stuff anyway, nothing really serious.

Wierd, those two games could not be more different. Why on earth would they put a poll pitting two completely different games?

STO has my vote regardless. LotRO has just let me down far too many times and now the way their cash shop is set up, I can no longer access my Guild House unless I pay real money. Just about everything now costs real money in LotRO if you're not a subscriber, its sickening. SWtoR is the same way now, but I'm still a subscriber due to a random family gift.

Pit LotRO against SWTOR and that'll shut their talk up real fast real quick. LotRO isn't all that great to begin with, decent game for a F2P.

If I voted I would vote for LoTRO because it is fantasy and I hate star verse settings in games.

It is not a fair comparison at at - you are comparing two different genres. It is well known that fantasy genre in games in the west is much more popular.

I was in the closed beta, open beta for LotRO, and played at launch. Compared to WOW I would take WOW any day even with its issues. Warhammer online is better than LotRO. Never played STO, but I could not vote for LotRO.

I briefly played lotro wasn't a big fan; that being said I still believe as a product it's a better game then STO. Strictly my opinion.

As a LotrO Life subscriber and an avid STo fan I would have to vote LotrO. It had a pretty solid launch and still holds very true to the lore. I might have voted different had there been more to do with my beloved Klingon character however.
