Upcoming Forum Upgrade [Planned for 10 AM Monday]

Hello all,
You might've noticed that PWE's Ether Saga Odyssey recently upgraded to a newer version of our forum software, and Neverwinter is about to make that upgrade. We know that your forum persona is important to you, so we want to make sure you know everything that'll be involved.
This upgrade is planned for early next week, and when we've got the final greenlight, we'll post the exact start time. We want to make sure you know what's coming, including some much-desired improvements.
*You will need to re-upload your signature. The upgraded vBulletin uses a separate database, so you'll need to add these back in.
*You'll be able to upload your own custom avatar.
*You will be able to report posts for moderation for breaking the community rules. This system has worked well for Cryptic games in the past, and with the upgrade, this feature will return.
*There will be a number of backend improvements that'll make it much easier for us to set up or improve the forum's structure as needed.
*No more bear smileys. The upgrade includes a set of standard smileys.
These are pretty much it for the big changes. The other good news is what won't change. No posts should show as "Archived User" -- you should still be able to edit all your old posts. This is an upgrade, and functionality will remain intact, just make sure you get your signature saved.
One thing to keep in mind is that for the first few days after launch, we'll be tweaking and improving the interface. For all you early adopters, we'll make sure you have links directly to the new user customization features. Hope you're all looking forward to the improved Neverwinter forums, planned for early next week!

Signature restrictions are still under discussion and review. Our Rules of Conduct won't be changing to ESO's. Our RoC here was just revised not too long ago and I mentioned the part about the Signature Rule here. Note the red print. If anyone hasn't read the Rules of Conduct sticky announcement in the past 2 weeks, you may wish to read it again.

@Zebular What's with all the link spam advertsing in the Rules of Conduct. Example "apply" in the first paragraph sends me give me a pop up when i hover over it that sends me here.
Edit: Was problem on my wife pc and is all fixed now so removed link.

Is it because of some toolbar you installed on browser? Sometime they have those like dictionary or something. If so, you can try to disable that toolbar or add-on.
Hopefully our BB permissions might change with the new forum.
Also I don't have that Canadian link either, must be something on your end...

Do you have any links at all in the RoC JS? I'm on the wife pc right now and there seem to be a few link all leading to adverting spam.

Alrighty thanx for checking, my wife must have some poopy add on or something.
Edit: fixed it yay, @gillrmn yea she had an extension called 1clickdownload 1.5 and 1.2 but once i took those off it stopped.

I'd love to see a hobb...err, halfling and wizard and Beholder one...ooh, especially a Beholder Smilie! Can I keep it pleeeeeeeeease? I promise to wal...err, float it and feed it forum Trolls, pick up adventurer droppings from it and I'll do it every day!
(And it was actually a lot harder than you think to get it to follow me back home here without disintegrating the entire forum....oh it tried to get me, but then the attack...you know those personal things that always happen to me on the forum before? Turns out they are Anti-Magic fields...reflected it back and it got a well-deserved equivalent of...it's version of the "water spray." Bad Beholder! NO! NO Death, Disintegrating or Harm beams! BAD Beholder!!! *It Disintegrates a poster about to offer downloading the latest sports broadcast full of trojans...the bad trojans* You killed A SPAMMER?!! GOOD Beholder GOOD BO...err..GI...err..GOOD BEHOLDER! *Feeds it a forum bear treat*)
And see, it's a good guard monster too!
And there are more big changes still! So keep your eyes peeled for new things!

The "Archieved User" part only refers to post made after the update that brought us the bears? Not that it really matters, just curious.
I think it's from when we switched forums/to pwe forums. We many of us lost our account names along with the switch. Thus my pilf3r instead of Asmodeus
