Just stopping in to say hi! Long-time gamer, and even longer-time fan of the FR, my imagination found that pace when I was 12... 25 years later, and I still visit on a regular basis.
Hoping for a top-notch game, and looking forward to joining you all in geeking out over the development process.

Thanks for the welcome!
I've been catching up on videos and articles, my hunger for the Realms grows!
The great thing about waiting for this game in particular is that there is already a wealth of lore material to consume in the interim. Even as someone who has been reading FR for 25 years, there are still new books coming out, and old books I have yet to get to.
I've been thinking of starting a collection, all of the titles, shelved chronologically. Admittedly there have been gaps in my FR addiction but it's been consistent enough over the years to warrant that type of attention now.
Currently reading Brimstone Angels by Erin M. Evans (until I get my copy of Charon's Claw in). It's an easy book, and ties into Neverwinter. The characters I'm following are on their way there now.

Let us know how it turns out. I almost thought to get it a few a days ago but passed. It sounds interesting.

Funny thing, I was reading the book tonight and when I got home and checked the site one of the characters was mentioned in the Ashmadai lore update.
Now I want to finish it even more. It has picked up, and my interest in the characters has grown. At this point I'd recommend it. Either way, even if you don't enjoy it, you'll get some direct pre-game Lore apparently.

Book was great! Plenty of Neverwinter goodness to prepare for the game. And to top it off I started following Erin on twitter and she mentioned me..
"OMG. I'm being followed by the @ChurchofShar. I said last month that Selune is my homegirl. Coincidence? I THINK NOT."
Very cool author, and she's writing one of the Sundering novels too.
