Neverwinter absolutely needs the bard class, I would literally pay money jsut to play this class. Cryptic, bards would add such a divers support role in so many possible ways, they would be a great addition to neverwinter. The song features would make an easy to implement buff, this is definitely the right class to add. bard is a staple class of 4th edition, you have to bring this class into a dungeons and dragons mmo! Seriously. Needs more bard. this is a perfect support class with its own niche, and would fit neverwinter well.
I absolutely endorse the OP's suggestion. I love playing Bards, & was very sad to not see them in this game.
I noticed someone on the front page saying that the LOTRO Minstrel was "fail," & while I don't want to derail the thread, I nearly hurt myself from the combination of /facepalm & /headdesk.
Fare you well

the bard would be a nice class but i notice we in neverwinter and there is no eldarien aka sun and moon elf or the spell sword or paladin i hope they be added in as well at some point other wise i think the game is relay good i like it
The game, in its early form, suffers from lack of classes and skills and abilities. In my opinion creating a bard would create more issues then solve.
What I mean is that there would have to be a whole new set of skills created that are not in the game yet. I think the Bard, when they release them, should be after they have fleshed out all the basic classes so that the Bard class can draw from a mass of skills from all the other classes. If they created one right now it would be a very boring class IMO No real mages, no real thieves...a cleric that is questionable in many ways. The Bard would borrow from all of these? I am aware that they will have exclusive abilities as well but my contention is that there is not enough diversity in all the classes for the Bard to borrow from as of yet.......Wait a year and then go from there.
Today we fight the GAULS......monstrous and HAIRY beyond reason.

I'd like to see Bard, Paladin, Swordmage, Druid, Sorcerer, Warlord, and Warden.
Races? Goliaths and Dragonborn!
