no beta sign ups for pw membbers?

it seems as if there is no way for perfectworld players to sign up for the neverwinter beta. all we can do is access the beta aka redeem a beta key but not sign up. anyone know how we can sign up for the closed beta?

There are other ways to get into the beta- including by pre-ordering Torchlight II (omg, cross-game promotion, what a marketing fail؟), which from my experience in the beta is DEFINITELY worth it. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if they did some additional contests for beta keys.

It's true! There's a ton of ways to get into the closed beta for Neverwinter. Not all of them are available yet. We'll be talking more about this very soon.

And dude...why so negative and over reacting constantly? It's really killing your credibility on these forums...maybe you should step back until there is you actual information to complain about?
Not feeling negative about the game at all. How could I? The games not out yet. I'm actually looking forward to the game, and have very high hopes for it.
I am totally disgusted with Perfect World's handling of this website thus far, as well as in it meek marketing ploys (such as pushing the Torchlight promotion on this site, at a time when only "promises" for potential future opportunities exist for closed beta access. That promotion belonged on the Torchlight website, not marketed here. The sleaze factor was noticed and spoke louder to me than the dozen or so who stated they were going to buy Torchlight II anyway. Again, that promotion should have been conducted solely at Torchlight's website. How successful was the marketing? Heck, cant remember reading ONE forumite that admitted purchasing the Torchlight game for Neverwinter closed beta access alone, so really it was just a quick way to see how many jumped jumped for a buck (or $20). That's my opinion and im sticking to it.)
I remain open-minded. As soon as E3 rolls around, I'm hoping my negative opinion of PW's handling of Neverwinter is washed away.. I'd like to see PW and Cryptic working together to bring this community together again. Range of 2-8 posts a day is a far cry to what it once was.
I believe that can be accomplished with daily/weekly communication and updates on the progress of the game. Newsletters, facebook and twitter feeds, let us in on the action behind the scenes. Thank the community who's been here from the very beginning, for holding out.
I feel my contribution thus far has been to get people talking. Wether folks agree or disagree is truly secondary to get conversation flowing and forming a community here.
As for my credibility Storm, please. There are plenty that's positive, and plenty that are unhappy about how this site has been handled since Cryptic "handed the forum keys" to PW. There's no need to attack people's credibility on their own personal opinions. What you see as "over the top" or "insignificant", means something to someone else.

Who is crying for keys? I would like to see some forum personalities that have been around since the beginning get keys granting closed beta access from Day One... I think that's most fair and would gift those who put the most into this community thus far. That excludes me by the way. I haven't even heard one of them "cry for a key", though.
I think its perfectly acceptable to inquire about closed beta access, and once E3 rolls up, there will surely be opportunities for some to gain that access. Inquiries = interest, and that's what this game needs now more than anything else.

Though, let's not derail this any more than it already has been. If someone wants to bring drama, that's their prerogative (and it has been for ages...). We don't have to feed it or get sucked into it. We all know how to stop forum trolls...
I'm glad Stormshade cleared that up- I had thought that was the case but I wasn't 100% sure.
For the life of me I can't find a newsletter signup on the front page. Not that it matters because I am subscribed to the Facebook feed so I get decent news there. I keep hearing about the newsletter signup and don't see the link.
There is also twitter and the tv channel if you want more info or ways to watch for beta action. You could also frequent various mmo fan forums and look stuff there.
Anyway, I think what the OP might be referring to is there is a beta signup page where you can't sign up if you already have a PW account. I saw a similar concern on the Raiderz forums.
I'm not really worried one way or the other, but thought I would mention it.

I can answer both.
For the Newsletter, when you registered for the Neverwinter Cryptic site, you were given an option to op out of the newsletter. If you didn't, you should get the newsletter when they send it again.
If you did, send a help ticket request asking how to get the Neverwinter newsletter mailed to you again. (https://support.perfectworld.com/app/ask)
For those who have a PWE account and want to register with Neverwinter:
Go to https://register.perfectworld.com/nw_splash and choose the option to Register. If this does not work, try these extended steps:
First, head to http://nw.perfectworld.com/ (this was formerly playneverwinter.com).
Click the "Sign up for Beta" button which will take you here:

Please "Click here to log in."
This should take you to: https://my.perfectworld.com/nw
Make sure you have the PWE radio button selected. If you have a Perfect World account, go ahead and enter your information there.
If this fails too, submit a help ticket as noted by the newsletter link above.
When you're logged into Neverwinter, and go to the FORUM (here,) there is a PM section in the upper right hand corner. It looks something like this:
Click on the Private Messages link, then Send New Message Link under Private Messages.
Enter the listed forum name you wish to PM (eg, aralix) enter any message like you would a forum reply, and send. Apologies, but the PW system ONLY allows friends to PM each other, so this is for NW only.
Oh no worries at all. I often forget I could PM the way iamtruthseeker suggested.

I've been to Forsaken World, Blacklight, and RaiderZ alpha/beta testing and all the keys I got were from MMO sites. I usually have 2-3 accounts signed up for alpha/beta, and none of them ever receives a key by email. When I said the chances were 1/100, I wasn't being exact, obviously, it's just to show how rare keys from sign ups are (at least for PWE).
Also I just PM'ed you and you're not on my contact list but it sent, so it does work, unless you didn't receive the PM.
I'm just happy I returned to my New Users FAQ Stickied. The rest was gravy
Thanks for the info. Actually anybody signed up can use the Cryptic PM, but not the PERFECT WORLD CORE CONNECT PM (which is different than the Neverwintert PM system and I included a link to the PW PM system above.)
No one actually uses CORE connect to PM. The way you explained how to PM is the way we PM in all PWE forums.
Okay, if anybody asked why they can't PM while not logged into this site and the're on the PW forums, refer to this post.

I haven't tried to re-register because I don't want to create a second account. Right above the registration text fields it says I'm already logged in with my PW account.
Even when I go to my PW account page and click on 'beta keys' it offers no option to apply and even lets me know that my Raiderz beta status is: has not applied. I have selected the option in my PW account to receive emails and news updates I don't get any.
No biggie really. The system just has a few bugs in it.
And if that happens, you have to open a ticket with PW then. They're getting good at resolving these existing account registration issues.

However, my peaked concern is that when I press the "Access Beta" button, under the key field it says, "Neverwinter [Status]: Not Applied."
Is this how it is supposed to be right now?

Yeah I get the same thing and I have applied a beta key...I contacted perfect world and they said that my key was successfully applied so time will tell.
I have a feeling that the website will get some more love in the next couple days when the E3 hype train starts.
Yeah, I think the one thing that I would change about Perfect World Entertainment is their outlook on their Web Sites. It seems that they underestimate the power of an awesome web site. Look back at the beginning of the great MMOs that have been around for years and they all have one thing in common - they all had massive, content filled, community inspired and aided, web sites. They all had huge fan-sites with developer interaction and official promotions. Now, it seems that there are very few MMOs left, even some of the "big" ones, that have decent web sites anymore - and they all wonder why their publicity is failing and their player-base isn't being refreshed as it once was, years ago.
Every great MMO should have an equally great Web Site, Community Tools and Community Team. This should be something of very high priority, in my opinion, on a title such as Dungeons & Dragons. It is a shame that these days, MMO companies have seemed to have forgotten the power of a Web Site and is the first thing that gets cut-backs.
If you look at the all the MMOs that have had dwindling populations or hard times in getting new customers, they all have something in common - they all either have dismal web sites or at one time had powerful web sites and then drastically changed and cut back their web site and/or Community Interaction in both Official and Fan-based web sites or forums.
There is a lesson to be learned here, it just seems that this lesson is not one that is learned by the Corporate Decision Makers - or is ignored for some ignorant reason.

Agree whole-heartedly. Exactly the point I have been trying to make elsewhere.
They do keep saying in interviews about 'interaction' with users and all, but there hasn't been such a thing as of now. Though agreed that the game has not been released yet, but if it is something they are ready to say repeatedly on interviews, I just hope they show something instead of just saying.
And there is a lot they can do even if game is not released to interest the community in their vision, but there doesn't appears to be much they would do...
