Constantly crashing

So here I am, coming into play on a merry day, I start up my game, everything is fine, I start a TNG run, 15 seconds in, I crash. I thought "hey, that's weird". I reloaded the game, verified and HAMSTER, when BLAM crash again. About 3-4 times. Same thing happened at the end of the last week too.
Fix your game, lads. I've reported every other crash. And as I was typing this, I crashed again. The game couldn't work for 30 GOD DAMN seconds.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the problem is in your PC. If it truly was a game issue, this forum would be flooded with complaints.

Of course there may be an issue with certain setup. But if you don't say what your set up is, no one can help you.

It's definitely not a PC issue. Everything else works perfectly. Running 8GB of Patriot 2400 MHz RAM, RX 570 Pulse, R5 1500, WD SE 1TB HDD, Samsung 850 SSD. I've only had the issues after last week's update. Before that it worked fine. And I can run basically anything else I need (from games, to Sony Vegas and stuff like AutoCAD and CATIA).

My game used to crash a lot, too. The reason was: NWO runs in windowed mode AND I had a text file open to keep track of what my characters had to do in which campaign. NWO doesn't seem to like when it cannot exclusively access the RAM of the PC. Since I stopped having this text file open in the background, the program crashes very rarely, mostly after cycling through more than 12 characters and doing refining.

I also have sporadicly crashes all the time, somtimes im playing and somtimes i do nothing at all. It crash anyway.. i have changed my graphic card from an ati HD4850 to a Geforce GTX460 and the craches arent so frequent now, but they are still going on. I dont know whats wrong or enything but i realy begin to hate this game cose it throw's me out all the time.

I had a lot of driver crashes with my GTX 650, and only with neverwinter. Stuff like BFBC2 worked fine.

I've been playing since before mod 2. Never had a driver problem with a 680 or TitanX. The only problem I have is the screen whiting when there are lots of people in the area, like during WoD dragon runs and all the 10-player trials. AMD players don't seem to have this issue as much.

I can't remember the last time someone posted an nvidia crash problem. But certainly there's been no shortage of amd crash issues recently.

it is def not a pc issue this crash has existed since mod 11b's release its a relentless crash with memory leaks that's been persistent, i get those every single since 5/2/17. just cryptic prefers to slight it off because it isn't happening to alot of people.

however when it crashes me it occurs once every 2-3hrs, so i'm not sure with you on your end, might be affecting u alot more aggressively than it does for me

I am now for the first time in 4+ years experiencing random and quite frequent crashes on a high end Asus/nvidia laptop. Game freezes and you get the white box to send data to cryptic about the crash. This has just started after last update on Thursday.

The only thing I have done different was get naked on preview to test a bug with Toughness feat and Energon companion...lol.

The last game I had bad crashing issue was BF2 that started after a video driver update. I was able to find a previous driver version that was stable for BF2.

In practice now, I do not update the video driver once a new card generation is released and my card has become the previous generation. The drivers are suppose to be unified. But practically, the best support will be given to the latest card generation.

I pretty sure that is not true. I have many things running in background when Neverwinter is running. What I am running are heavy duty and take a lot of memory and even more than Neverwinter. I always have at least these 2 running in background.
1. chrome and it collectively use more memory than Neverwinter. (at this very moment, Neverwinter is using 1.5GB and 10 chrome processes are using 1.9GB).
2. Team Speak which is common and it is more or less a requirement to join our guild.

A notepad is nothing.

As above I have been having these crashes since forever [May this year]. It is only affecting a minority of players so there isn't a huge amount of forum posting about it. Frankly if I hadn't invested time in this game I would have walked away a long time ago. I suspect that any new players who joined in May when it started crashing probably just left thinking it was "the norm".

Hi everyone! I'm seeing a couple new threads on crashes so putting together a timeline. While a small number of players have been experiencing issues for some time (and we've already been working on that), it appears there was an increase starting the last couple days. Can people confirm when this started happening more for them?

After last patch for me. None before over 4 years running.

Started playing a month or so ago. Crashs only for last week of time. Many zone changes and character switching. Occassionally have a browser open to the wiki. No problems with any of that prior to the 2x XP event. Always seems to clear up after a couple shut downs.

Crashes started suddenly today (10/5), though I've had constant problems with another computer for months. Not just crashing out of the game here, but Windows now locking up totally & having to turn the computer off... it's totally dead otherwise, nothing else revives it.

not so much crashing but server time out disconnect log in again, then i'm having that constantly, i've got a ticket open on it, but thought i'd mention it here.
i only started playing about a month ago. started on a wet weekend, it worked fine till the thursday, then became a bad joke, so i reinstalled the game this time on steam, first instance was on arc. again it worked fine till the thursday when it returned to being a bad joke.
i waited it out and the following tuesday it became much better.
then on thursday it returned to being a joke. that saturday my HDD died so i performed a full clean install on a new drive. it worked well again till yesterday. this morning i've had to re login 4 times after entering protectors enclave from the eastern gate and havent yet made it past the first post box on the right. last night i killed the big baddie in ascencion crypt 3 times. but time outs meant i had to redo 2 of them, the thrid time i'd been timed out and logged off so many times the game had taken me right back to the campsite where you enter the actual world map. it's really hilarious having a server crash that puts you back to a place before the place that you were at, never mind being put back to places before the places before the place that you had fought your way to and having to go through the whole process again from the start.
hopefully i'll manage to get something done before it all goes horribly wrong again next thursday

Hi everyone! Just wanted to update that I continue to escalate this issue. I was actually experiencing crashes and server time outs myself, at work, on Friday 10/6 and we weren't able to find any issue with the game server. It appeared to be with the connection itself so I'm trying to find more commonalities between people experiencing this (ISP, location, etc).

well, since 10/5 I have been experiencing sudden disconnections back to the login screen (before character selection), sometimes it takes 15 minutes for a disconnection to occur, and other times i have 8-12 crashes in 30 minutes (once i had 2 within 1 minute). I upgraded my internet that day to a new satellite (same provider but a different satellite so i got a new receiver and a new modem) so I am not sure if my issue is internet related (which would be odd since all my other internet activities are working fine) or game related. I tethered my phone's mobile data to my computer to try and test things but i only tested for 15 minutes or so before i stopped without having had a disconnect (my mobile plan has very little data so i'd rather not waste it).

I did force verify all my files and nothing came up as being wrong or corrupted. Below is a log from a file called Netcrc_2017-10-08_02-00-00.Log from the time I was playing where I crashed so often while doing a dungeon. There are a lot of logs I could provide but I have no idea what I am looking for

I have not crashed for a long time until this past week. I have reported every crash so hopefully that helps!
