2 x Seals not working with Trading Element > Protector

It appears that the 2 x Seals event isn't working for the Seal trading functionality of Element to Protector Seals.

I've been saving mine (partly for this, and partly because stuff was character bound in Mod 12), it's a shame that this wasn't a nice bonus.

@nitocris83 - can you please get confirmation on whether this is acting correctly or not?

Trade-ins for other outdated seals have given 2x during this event, so I second the request for clarification.

Missed this on Friday so I know the event is over but I'll still have the team look into it to see if it was by design or not.

I sat on mine, but I'd definitely like to know if this will be fixed or was intentional so I can decide when to exchange them.

I've been informed that this was intentional because the currency conversion can't be doubled.

The currency conversion can't be doubled? Exactly how? All they need to do is double the reward given, they've done it before. It would have been nice that this sort of behaviour was announced when the seal trading went in during Mod 12 (rather than us having to wait and figure it out ourselves).
