Statistic Discrepancy on Primal Armor

As follows is a sheet showing the statistic variation on Primal Armor for all classes. Pay close attention to the total offense, total defense and total stats values. Pay particularly close attention to the values on chest pieces.

If you count total stats on chest pieces the classes are valued in the following order: GF, OP > GWF > DC > HR > SW > CW > TR
If you count only Offensive stats the classes are valued in the following order: GWF, OP, HR, CW, SW, DC > TR > GF
If you count only Defensive stats the classes are valued in the following order: GF > OP > GWF > DC > HR > SW, TR > CW

I can understand the difference in defensive stats and the difference in offensive stats. Certain classes need to have more defense or offense than others depending on their role. My problem lies in the total stats. Why are almost all classes equal in offense stats except TR and GF? (GF is understandable, as the extra defensive stats they get should offset the reduction in offensive stats.) This is an issue I've noticed going all the way back to Mod 6 where certain classes had less total stats on their shirt/pants than others.

All classes should have equal statistic values on their equipment and those statistics be balanced more or less in offense or defense accordingly. Yet this is not the case.

Final thoughts: Is someone at Cryptic just biased against the squishy classes? TR's in particular? What gives?
I'll accept a legitimate argument from the developers if they can provide one, but I honestly can't think of a reason why this is the way it is.

Hehehe nice work, i was thinking the same since a long time ago (in an galaxy far far..oh sorry wrong scenario, i am sorry to all Star Trek fans..), that once upon a time a dev was totally rekt in PvP and since then....

I present now the unofficial TR Anthem:

They probably weight each stat differently dependant on the class. As a "for instance" - 32kHP on a TR is a pretty nice chunk of health, but it's just a drop in the bucket for an OP; meaning the HP equates to much more "defense" for a TR than it does for an OP.

If that were the case then why is every other dps class represented equally in terms of offensive stats?

This is an issue I've noticed going all the way back to Mod 6 where certain classes had less total stats on their shirt/pants than others.

The difference in stats on the pants and shirts was determined to be the product of a variable defense stat based on class. The less heavy your armor type, the less defense you had on your shirt and pants. The other stats turned out to be equal points.

Here, it looks like the defensive stats are following the same patterns, but the total offensive stats having a discrepancy does appear to be a bug or oversight.

It's a good catch, but it's not good communication of bugs by the community to immediately go into YOU DID THIS TO US ON PURPOSE, YOU BLEEPS mode. (Not that the OP has entirely, but the replies are already veering in that direction.)

It looks like they may be using the equipment for some re-balancing, Note that the GF has the lowest offensive stats but the highest defensive. Calls into question why the Paladin would have the second highest offensive stats, unless the devs were trying to up the ante for that class.

As a GWF having completed Mod 10, I don't really see a point in getting Primal gear.... A few extra hit points and a LOT of re-balancing to do.

My comment in my original post was meant to be a joke. If you've read any of my other posts recently you'll know that I try to inject some humor into the forums as much as possible. Gods know we need it. If that set a negative or flamey precedent I apologize.

    Anyway, back on topic.

I fully understand and agree with the differing statistic values for defensive stats, Defense and Deflection. The heavier the armor type the more defense it has; However, I would expect that increase in defense to mirror a decrease in offense across the board, like it is with GF. Logically I would expect to see lighter armors have lower defense but higher offense in such a way that all classes get the same total stat values on their equipment. Then again, maybe I'm just at fault for trying to find sense in a senseless sytem.

Logical analysis has failed so I'm reaching out to the player community as well as the developer community to find an answer as to why the system that is used... is used and how it works.

Hey y'all! Just letting you know that I will be looking into this. Just from a quick glance, there's a discrepancy on some of the armors' stats which I'll be reviewing. I can't promise any life-altering changes, but if I find a bug or discrepancy on the new M12 armors while I'm looking, I'll make sure to fix it and try and get it into the soonest patch.
