Welp, sounds like we have the answer to Makos situation, along with an extra personal reason to go to Chult!
Super spoily theorycrafting ahead, REALLY don't read if you want to find out later:
The evil stuff going on in Chult is preventing resurrection magic from working, while also draining those who have been raised by it before. That's why Makos was so tired and seemingly ready to check out, he was probably raised at least once before. That's also ultimately why Celeste's magic failed, he WAS being prevented from coming back, but it was part of a MUCH broader problem. We go down to Chult, stop Acererak, and we will be able to finally bring Makos back.
Assuming Celeste can get the funding.

Yeah it explains that whole entire situation! Saw the stream and loved it! Watching the second part now, and its very fun. But its a lot of insight to what the module 12 will be about. I am excited about the puzzles and the increase in difficulty its gonna bring.
