Still imposssible to play according to errors As i thought...it took one day to destroy the game...it will took months to solve that issue Almost done with Neverwinter...not only me i think.
Not sure that helps, but I've crashed two times inside the solo lairs in the Dread Rings. Might actually have been the Phantasmal Fortress twice, but definitely not the same location inside.
Hi guys! I had the same error as all of you for 5 days (since the new module) but I can play now. I've tried everything just like you then I tried to play on Windows 7 and now it's good. No crashes, no fatal errors, no DXGI errors etc. You all should try this also if you want to play until they fix it Just install any version of Windows 7 and it should be ok I guess.
Since the 6th may game is unplayble freeze's on screen gameclient crash's, control alt delete end process only way out. I'm runing window's 10 nvidia gtx980 amd ryzen. any useful suggestion appreciated!!

I'm not terribly familiar with interpreting call stacks, but the KERNELBASE.dll!Sleep+0xf kind of jumped out at me. Some searching suggests that this lockup could be caused by waiting for another process to end.
Just a random thought - but do you all use the Arc client? It just occurs to me that trying to wait for something to end in a wrapper program may be a cause.
Just for giggles - if you use Arc to start the game, shut down and restart your computer (don't just reboot, shutting down will be certain to stop all processes) Then, launch the neverwinter.exe directly and see if there is any change.
Again, I'm not a programmer and it's been a while since I had to do troubleshooting like this, but at the very least it will narrow down another parameter for the devs.

I'm not using ARC. Maybe I should give it a try! Anyway, the KernelBase.dll sleeping was probably because gameclient.exe was still running ( in its crashed state) plus the error message was still on the screen so I wouldn't read into it too much.
My graphics card is an AMD 290X. Are the problems on both AMD and NVIDIA?

I don't think it is the arc. Arc is just calling the launcher and the launcher calls the client. It is the client that crashes. On my case it usually crashes on character swaping or on exiting the game. The crash actually gives me BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) that reboots my PC. The error lines are always different and the common thing is some dump file error. I use the game in different machines, with some common hardware and some common software among them, but yet I can't figure out what it is, that makes the game crash. I believe that it is incompatibility issues of the game with some stuff, but hard to tell.

I have an Intel HD integrated graphics. I'm not sure about NVIDIA.

I can't thank you posters enough. I thought it was my computer. I was 1 click away from spending $1500 on a new computer because I crash all day long after this patch. I am a computer dummy. The error messages I get say my memory isnt working or something. I just couldn't justify spending that kind of money just to play a video game. Imagine if I had and still crashed!! I want to be able to play this game with MAX settings, but right now im playing with everything at min/low/off and still crash in all kinds of situations. From DR runs to changing toons to map travel to just standing still in PE. Is there a setup that actually works? If so, could you share the set up? Thanks again.
