people like the simple math logic of the 4k power = 10% damage logic, but its not nearly that simple... nothing ever is. People also like to calculate based on peak dps and not average dps. If you don't have 100% uptime you need to take any damage increase and multiple it by your estimated up time which is hard for many to do

And position. A power buffer can have 300k power to share, 100% uptime, but if the mates/companions are often missed...meh...

I still suspect the current power creep is going to eventually lead to a power sharing nerf. Most likely resulting in bonded pets only sharing unbuffed stats. It seems like to easy of a change for the devs not to implement it at some point and bring challenge back to many of the games content.

Here an important point. When the changes were announced, a lot of noise asking to nerf AA because it was too strong and the devs listened the BS: big mistake. AA was not the problem, bonded pets are eventually.
Now that the wrong change is implemented, I'm getting nervous about further changes to solve the umpteenth mistake.
Some crybabies asked for the wrong change, they were listened, now please shut up and live with what you get: still 120k ++ power peak.

AA still is a good buff on it´s own. 40k powerx0,33 = 13k powerbuff + cc immunity + 4x20% mitigation...even without taking companion into account.
It doesn´t work that good in sologame any more, like doing HE´s solo, standing still and just spamming encounter like there is no tomorrow, but in party and raid like mSVA it has still a considerable uptime (varying by noobfactor).
What class can spend a buff or daily like that?
DC still is by far the most powerfull class, regarding the buffs and mitigation options (AS/HG/DG/AA), no class can hold against this and there will be no raid without a DC, even if there were no powersharing or megabuffs on top.
The daily had to be fixed but they took a big part of it. But as we can see, it still outperforms most buffs and dailies in this game.
I think they did the right thing. If they nerf companions some day, all classes will be punished significantly and maybe DO will be the more popular paragon that moment ... but DC will stay from higher interest than any other class for every group.
Look one time over your "garden fence" to your neighbour Mr. Oath of Devotion, please and tell me how that class should get any step into this game? :) ..and tbh, buffing the classes up to the level of DC is no solution.
My templock doubles his HPS, and deals 20 time his damage, having a bigger area of effect by healing and buffing the hole party at the same time with PoP (12%+damage) and DR powerbuff (5-7% + damage).
Even doing so, noone wants that class because there is a DO/DC and a AC/DC that can do 10 times better, spending HG 30% +dps to the hole raid, powerbuffs like100% upwards dps etc., BtS and so on.
It is about classbalance also, take that into account please.

Even if companion powersharing would be fixed and stats would not be shared any more most player would go on using that daily by spamming double dailies HG-AA-AA-HG-AA-AA-HG.
They started to fix a lot of those broken BS a year ago, uncapped buffs like ITF, WoL stacking nonsense, warlock TT/KF bug, OP-permabubble and more. These things had to be considered to be "out of order" , trivialising content, gamebreaking somehow....this had to be done defintely, otherwise this game can´t be taken serious any more.
ITF nerf caused a big crying in forum, many player ragequit, there was a lot of rant and yelling. I considered those player to be short sighted, selfish and noobish to some degree, obviously only playing one class, otherwise I can´t understand how on earth they wanted to keep this kind of silly broken BS.

one thing to think about is

Last DC work was mod 5, this happened in mod 11

The last time artifacts can gear got super cheap was mod 5, not sure if you noticed but the cost on arti's and availability on arti gear has gone way up again

Last lvl change was mod 6... i think the writing is on the wall for a lvl increase. Wondering if a bonding rework will be associated with it but as long as bonding is giving3x stats, a lvl increase and subsequent stat increases will only make bonding a more significant portion of damage potential. I can't imagine a stat multiplier will stay in place if they try to re-baseline the power curve
