@asterdahl if the main reward is a new set which is already not desired because of the continuous need of refining...can you at least make us able to unslot reinforcement kits? its getting really tiresome to craft reinforcements for 250k+ ADs each one each mod. thats a 1M ADs
what about introducing a new gear slot, ear ring for example and those can only drop in fangbreaker? or what about a vendor at the end of the dungeon which trades your unwanted orange rings for one different? like he gives you 3 choices everytime..you eventually have to run old content to get a ring and new content multiple times to get the right offer from this vendor
The vendor is a brilliant idea. I finally could put my 2 +5 Orcus rings to a good use. I would pity the ppl, who salvaged or donated their +5 rings.

If the "Ruined" armor and weapons from Castle Never are valid for SH surplus and salvage, and you can use bags of junk from Salvager's enchants as SH surplus, it makes no sense to me that the "Rotted/Rusted/Etc." armor pieces are not usable for anything. I'd like to believe this is a matter of missing flags and not intentional design. If even the unrestored core items are meant to be difficult to get (people getting a ton of boot drops while endlessly farming for lanolin notwithstanding), then I think it feels *very* wrong for discarding to be the only thing to do with extras.
I can confirm the the post above me. I dont know if the loot changes have already been done but after the fbi run today I can say the loot is totally disappointing for such a difficult dungeon. A rank 8 isnt enough as loot and even the rp that a boss sometimes drop is totally HAMSTER for this dungeon. Unfortunately the dungeon is currently not worth running, not even for the relict gear.
Here are my predictions for how the dungeon desirability levels are going to look like - I'll split it into 3 groups.
1st group - people who cannot run FBI due to restrictions (item level, EF resistance, etc.) 2nd group - people who would attempt FBI, most likely fail over and over again and just entirely give up on it cause they're not skilled/geared enough. 3rd group - people who would successfully run FBI, get the gear and stop running it altogether.
What kind of incentive are we supposed to get to run this dungeon again after getting the gear? It's mostly a headache, you're very limited to the players you take with you in order to ensure a safe completion in a reasonable duration, so why would you run it again when you can just farm CN and get an Orcus shard or some hope for valuable loot? I don't see anyone running this dungeon regularly in any scenario unless the loot will change. I myself have no plans to run this dungeon more than I need to in order to get the gear.
People should be rewarded for their work, not for their time. Rather, if only 5% of the server will be able to complete it for at least a few months (just blurted out a number here, potentially it could be a lot more) due to understanding of their class and the dungeon's/game's mechanic - they should absolutely get rewarded for it.
If anything, it'll be an incentive for players who are struggling and would like to improve their gameplay in order to reach that level. The game's lacking those quality players, start creating ways to increase the amount of the former and improve the game for everyone else. Sometimes it's all about the incentive. Players don't have any incentive to put effort into their gameplay as everything can be facerolled within a few minutes these days given the powercreep, very little thought process is invested into learning mechanics or even the trivial dodging red! People just wait for the bubble and expect to live through everything, everyone got lazy - I was hoping the dungeon will knock some sense back into the player population, but as I stated in the above, I find it really hard to believe anyone would run this dungeon after the whole "new dungeon" effect will vanish.

I guess there are new legendary rings dropping with fixed stats.
The rings are by far inferior to the Underdark rings by all means, I can't consider them "valuable" loot.
I would say thats point of view. My DC (virtuous) has a very specific build and the underdark rings are useless for me, so I am still using the adamant rings of recovery. The greater ostorian rings on the other hand would be a nice upgrade for my cleric.
But yeah, the greater ostorian rings are probably useless for most dps classes.
I agree the loot system is horrible on xbox, ran 3 times best I got was a black Opal and 2 ostorian resin. Crappy relics and an elven ward ring which I can get in P.E.. Really cmon. The dungeon is fun, it really lacks rewards, imo rings are better in cn and demo, which is also a shame. Hell you don't even get a decent amount of voninblood to cover your losses. People were all excited to run fbi now it's dropped off, I like how hard it is and I rock the dps there at 3.7k il, but I know how to play my character. I'll still run fbi for the challenge but the loot blows.
