I have run PoM many many times. I am now sitting on ~30x +4 rings at this point to give some sense of how many (I'd love to see a counter to get an exact count), and haven't scored a legendary yet. And yet I just ran across a new player, wearing an blue armor set on his main, wearing not one but 2 Legendary rings.
I have to say that has to be one of the shittiest feelings in the world, that the best Cryptic has to offer us is a stupid lottery ticket approach to gaining a legendary ring. It's one thing to do this via lockbox, it's another to completely not acknowledge a players time invested.
Can you please fix this HAMSTER so that we get some type of currency that we can exchange for a ring.
Hell, even if the math works out to 3 runs a day for 90 days to earn 1 ring (character bound no less), I'd be friggin thankful.
This should be a reward design mechanism no-no; this is seriously one of the most HAMSTER up reward systems I've ever played....

I know it's been discussed by the community but we haven't been heard. Can we plz also get a response from the developers why they think this approach is good for the community / players / game??
Request for change: Include a currency for exchange so that players can earn their Legendary ring
The drops on the +5 rings are weird for sure, myself and another guildie both got two rings each in a very few (10 or less) runs in the beginning and have never seen one since and I have run these skirmishes at least 5 times a day since the launch. I feel like the first week or two the drop rate was higher and has now been reduced. I consider myself very lucky to have seen two rings.
It's just luck whether it drops or not. It's been the same on PC, and however annoying it may be it won't change. They want people running constantly, not being able to just buy the things and be done.
Its supose to be adjust by mod9 from what i heard, they should drop more.
Personally i got one once on throne, sadly not the one i was seeking. I realized then that the one i want is in prophecy... oh no... not farming this.... nop
I wish they where just unbound... so people that get the wrong one can actually sell it to people that need them. They would surely sell for a lot and some people would farm them for potential sales so there would still be people running those skirmishes.

I totally agree. And sundance777 is on to something. The first week the new content was out you'd see people announcing their legendary rings left and right. I haven't seen a legendary ring drop in around two weeks and I've been playing demo every hour with the exception of when I'm sleeping. Pretty sure they had the drop rate cranked up in the beginning to get us all hooked. Now it's so low you will almost never get one.
I'm sure they think this will keep us playing and they're right. But only for a short time. Eventually the will to chase these rings will be beat out of us and the overwhelming feeling of not being rewarded for your time spent will cause a mass exodus of players from neverwinter.
On a side note this game needs to give out rewards a little more often. The only thing to look forward to everyday is the free enchanted key. You already know you could play elol a million times and still only get alliance armor. I love playing this game but I can see the excessively low drop rates inspiring me not to play in the near future.

How different would that be from the 2 millions bounding stone and such? lol. Its just another high priced item...
Yea I only got one +5 (ring of sieging) so far. Still want a second one. Then again it could drop also a totally worthless +5 so I agree with a better drop rate or something to work on for an exchange just as the twisted set for the future.

We already know there isn't any better in ME content. Outside of master craft (which honestly I have no idea what is available via JC), I don't see any changes to the ring landscape for awhile (else they render their underdark content non-repeatable, which I highly doubt they'll do).
My prediction is that some of these rings will have relevance for a long time, likely even after level cap increase again..
PS - just finished gearing out my alts with rising recovery +4 rings whether they needed them or not...still no +5. Still running very often...
It is weird the drop rate of the rings. Most people in my guild that has gotten a +5 all got them in the first week of unlocking edemo. I got mine 8 days after the first opportunity to run edemo (ambush +5). Haven't seen one since. The most recent person that got 2 in one run about a week ago. My guild is very active and actively running edemo and no gets HAMSTER. Something is wrong and needs to be tweaked/ fixed whatever. I'm getting tired of running it and getting gold beyond easily and get +1's. I don't mind the grind but HAMSTER!
I did an approximation on how many total rolls on the +5 ring at this point. I know I am somewhere in the vicinity of 250-300 runs, with 90% of them gold which adds another 225-270 rolls.
So...not one +5 in 550-570 rolls on the ring.
Now....take that 250-300 and multiply it by an average of 15m per run to see how much of my life has been wasted (at least 63hrs over 90 days, or 20 hrs a month....) This doesnt count the edemo runs for 2x characters either.
For those looking to play this game/content....you have been warned.
The issue will be that of you earn it, how possible will it be as a support class to earn those rings? Drop rates are already to low for support classes.

Not really. I swear there is a luck modifier in the background though. I know a few people who picked up two +5s. Given the very low statistical chance of getting 1 in 90 days, I should know more people with 1 +5 ring...not sure how folks are pulling multiple +5s
The distibution for this "random" rng loot system is not even; I see the same thing with Lostmauth (a guy I farm with often has gotten the last 6 horns; if these rates were evenly distributed I'd have a better chance of winning the lottery vs even knowing someone with that kind of luck).
I still think it's terrible that someone that plays as much as I do, has run underdark as many times as I have, cannot get one of these rings. I'm working on my fourth underdark weapon set for crying out loud...

I think the biggest problem with those rings and the new ones is the bound factor.... I am sorry but whats the point of working hard to be able to get a ring while you may end up with one that is not usefull for you...? I can run hundreds of time only to end up with a +5 that i don't care with? At least make us able to sell them? There is no point what so ever to the bound factor, the people that will sell them will still run the skirmishes to hope to make diamonds while the other will spend diamonds(wich may come from zen so you get money) to get the ring.

The lottery on the rings do suck, what's worse is getting gold and being rewarded a +1 ring or +2, like seriously I work hard getting gold with the team and get rewarded the same reward if I got silver. If you get gold it should be a guaranteed +3 ring and increased chances at +4 and +5 rings. The issue is +5 rings can drop on a silver run, and some players will not put much effort in to get silver and the chance of a +5 ring. Reward us for hard work.
