Sergeant Knox, different voice (actor)?

I noticed that, somewhere since mod 8, sergeant Knox has a different voice (actor).

Anyone know why this is? Did the original voice actor leave the team or something?
I was simply wondering. His voice is pretty common in Neverwinter. Perhaps the most heard voice actually.

I also noticed that Knox didn't sound like Knox when I spoke to him about starting the Maze Engine storyline.

It is disconcerting. Knox's voice is the voice of Neverwinter.

@strumslinger Is this something you can say anything about, or at least take back to the team? Was Joe Lyford unavailable?

None of the voices in Mod 9 are the original voice actors.. I was sooooooooo ready to listen to Linu tell me how good I was at killing monsters.. but it wasn't her. Listen to her in WoD.. that voice could melt butter... still nice in Mod 9, but not the same.

Then there's the Demon Hunter in IWD, who has at least two distinctly different voices..

Yeah it's a bit unfortunate. I like his voice acting. He's one of only few voice actors I like on Neverwinter.

I also noticed that none of the modern/new heroic encounters have his voice.

If they're gonna switch voice actors, Knox needs to be Peter Cullen - the voice of Optimus Prime.

Upon accepting your daily DR quest, Knox looks at you and says "Let's Roll."

I actually don't like Linu's WoD voice compared to her NWN voice, and I prefer the current one for how she sounds in NWO.

The IWD Demon Hunter either has some misdirected files or the actor doing the main voice didn't record VA for the framing bits so they just used what they had recorded for the DR Demon Hunter in two locations.

Apparently Knox's original voice actor stopped working at Cryptic in 2015. So we'd better get used to it.

Ah. That's very unfortunate, then. Are they going to redo and replace all the voice acting or is there now going to be many characters with double voices? Ha.
