Dread weapon enchant tooltip clarification


The tooltip above shows the defense debuff on the lesser dread enchant as a 10% reduction in defense.

However, the tooltip for lesser terror says some thing similar and then has a qualification for how it works on monsters as well.
You deal an additional 7% of weapon damage as Necrotic damage with every swing and induce terror in your foe, reducing their Defense by 10% for Players and decreasing their Damage Resistance by -1% for monsters.
If the mechanics behind these 2 enchants are the same could we get the "for Players and decreasing their Damage Resistance by -1% for monsters" bit from terror added to the Dread tooltip as well please?

If the mechanics are different then it would be nice to have a tooltip clarification of how the dread enchant works with regards to the defense reduction. Thanks

    at lesser it is better then terror for sure assuming the 10% reduction = -1% DR for mobs. As to better then vorpal, i would say that it depends heavily on the class. encounter based classes it is totally better, the higher the percentage of at-will damage you do though the better vorpal is.
    On the whole I am not impressed by the fact that our first new weapon enchant since mod 1 (not counting the mod 6 reworks) is just a variation of vorpal combined with terror. Some new idea would have been nice, or a rework of the enchants again to make things like fireburst/flaming,frostburn/frost, lightning/thunderhead more effective and useful. In many cases these enchants just need a boost to how frequently they can activate. an effect once every minute that lasts for 4 seconds is not nearly as good as something that is always giving you a sizeable boost like feytouched/vorpal or negation/elven/soul forged.

    If this does turn out to be a encounter only perfect vorpal + perfect terror then I can guarantee instant adoption by many CWs and HRs (depends i guess if it boosts lostmauth) because of the debuff it provides as well as the personal damage boost

    Like Owlbear Cub, it's a monstruous thing but for specifics builds only. I hope it not multi-proç and don't works on dots.

    It's in CN from the chests at the end of the dungeon (one opens with epic dungeon keys and the other with greater demonic keys).

    This is potentially quite interesting. I'm not sure how it would work out for my buff/debuff DC (who is currently using Terror), but the Defense reduction might really be worthwhile, but it kind-of depends on the details - does this it proc on encounters only and what about DoTs, and yes...what is the duration.
    Hoping for improvements...

    Well, here's the real reason for removing coalescent wards from the TB store - everyone will want one of these and the pvp exploiters will pay through the nose to get them to transcendent on the first day. Good thing I have 12 coalescents saved up already...

    I hold my opinion till someone posted this with rank above perfect. I doubt it will be better than perfect plaguefire even in trans level. If the dot effect does apply with at will but not only encounters while the debuff magnitude is greater than my PF, i think i will get it for my debuff DC.

    It is broken AF... because the creators are out of touch with the way the game works. They will nerf this after people start complaining that it is too OP. It is also a way that Cryptic will force people to buy Zen... IJS.​​

    WHIle in pve is bis for sure for someone spamming encounters and has ofcourse high critical, in pvp even on a 40% defence reduction is -15% dr based on the maximum i have seen defence 15k. ALSO THE Tenacity will reduce the critical severity. so you have an enchant with -15%dr and a damage boost around 25% on ENCOUNTERS ONLY when you critical. VS feytouched which : all hit are strong critical and non critical you have 18% mitigation and 18% damage buff and 18% weapon damage. ALSO feytouched debuff will stay 20 seconds on the player vs this one stays 4. so if target escapes and go to another cap will not have the debuff on him.

    At the moment the enchantment does nothing if you actually test it, which means until they fix it, its the worst enchant in the game :p
