Mass Guild Boot

valwrynvalwryn Member, NW M9 Playtest Posts: 1,620 Arc User
During a Dragon Flight Battle.......somehow a Rank 4 member got promoted to Leader and then most of the officers got booted. Now the player that was made leader doesn't appear to be in the guild anymore. The highest officer that was left was a level 5 and now we have no Rank 7 leader to access the Vault build the Stronghold and all the other important stuff. :'(

P.S. we had the promoting set propoerly!!!

There should be an option in the roster for the highest ranking member to claim ownership of the guild. I know you said you had promoting set properly but it really sounds like you had it checked so that one of the ranks could promote above themselves and they promoted that bad person to Rank 7, or that Rank (or they were already that Rank) and they then promoted themselves to Rank 7, or someone of Rank 7 promoted the bad person to Rank 7. Your logs in the guild menu (Gateway may show more info and searchable logs) should show exactly who promoted who and what not. Compare what the logs show in game an what the Gateway shows to get more details.

Look on the News tab and then search for things like permission and guild rank.

I.E. "Daxx Dae'Vesh's guild rank is now Chosen of Mystra" and "'Old Zeb' has enabled permission Build Stronghold structure for rank Chosen of the Gods"

Dear zebular i'm a member of the guild and i can confirm that the option was unchecked, and the logs show nothing of someone being promoted to rank 7, unfortuantly the one doing it made himself guildleader so we do not have the optin to claim the leadrship back

One theory about our now Self-Promoted Leader is that he arrived late for the dragon flight and became the 41st player on the map. He was toss'd into another instance. Do Guild settings change in another instance? Probably something nobdy has ever check'd. :#

So which is it? If there is no R7, then the highest rank will have the option to claim ownership of the guild. In any case, whoever was the guild leader prior needs to file a Support Ticket.

Even if this is the case, it would take a month for the next highest rank to claim ownership. I can't remember if it takes a full month for each rank to move up the ownership queue.

Please make sure the original Guild Leader(s) file a support ticket and are as detailed as possible in their penning.
