whenever I alt-tab out, I can't get back in. When I try to reload the gameclient.exe window I get this error

Same issue that happened with Mod 6 release with the loading screen. I have had to start in safe mode since that release now safe mode doesn't work at all on this release. I have uninstalled and re-installed the game and it has the same issue. Get to the splash screen and freezes up. This is a bug that should of been fixed ages ago instead of further progressed with another glitched mod release.
I knew it I said it yesterday "tomorrow is going to be hell I can tell it'll lag like hell" I was wrong for lag but the loading is like a virus that they don't bother to cure only spread it even further

Whatever the fault was with NW Strongholds Mod 7 was fixed on my PC using this all-purpose cure all. I have now been into Mod 7, played in several areas and even visited my Guild's Stronghold and had a quick look round the initial quests. I only have two problems, the lag at Spinward Rise was horrendous to the point I had to give up trying to complete the Second Tome Quest and why, oh why is one of the first quests that you have to complete in the strongholds a full on Dungeon ! You have Epic Cragmire or 'Regular' Valindra's Tower. This is on a par with the ridiculous requirement in Well of Dragons that insists on sending new arrivals to complete the Cult Prison lair. It's going to be a while before I complete this introductory group in Strongholds
I am also getting stuck on the Neverwinter loading screen. I have no available updates, and I have tried force verify and safe mode. I have even tried waiting on the page for 20 minutes.
This is a problem from NevewinterPreview. I hope that it can be fixed as soon as possible.

I had noticed that my Mem was capped at 96%, and early on in the loading process (when i started to noticed the lag), and i had seen the files downloading upon entering the stronghold aread, i checked my task manager, and Neverwinter had 8 Processes going at the same time! first time I'd ever seen that with NWO, and since i fixed it i cannot replicate that. BUT...after killing all active processes (including MS Edge which i had running at the time), my memory was still capped @96%. so i restarted.
back to normal. mem hovering around 15%, CPU around 4%, game loads and runs fine. if you want all the steps i did to tshoot, read my last thread. but essentially I think that people who are having issues graphically should make sure all active processes are killed, and restart the PC. if you are having file issues, it may be that the live hotfixes they were doing cause corruption....I highly recommend uninstalling (using the default windows program manager), and restarting the PC, then re-installing the game.
Not that they stated they were doing live hotfixes, but the behavior of the loading screens (kept getting files uploading on each one, big one on stronghold), and the multiple procs running at the same time, leads me to believe they were, and it just didn't go well.
It sounds like they are having issues with that too. someone in another thread had mentioned that he also got some items with no names, only a generic "click to X" description, and only a placeholder icon. I think they definitely have their work cut out for them with bug fixes.

Otherwise guys, none of the solutions before worked for me, and my drivers are all up to date.
I have windows 8 and when I start my game it gets past cyrpic and when it gets to neverwinter it just stays there and does not load my character screen please fix this issue before I decide to uninstall. I have installed the new chipset and the drivers for my video card and still nothing
ok so I used the force verify and safe mode to get into the game finally then when I left I had to patch AGAIN and now force verifying again and it wont launch again WTF have you guys done? All of my drivers are uptodate you blew it guys.
Don't get discouraged... Mod 8 will be out in 3 months...

And frustrating... At least before this mod i can play by enter in safe mode (before that i can enter normally... aparently something just f***k up in the previos mod(5) and never fix it)... every mod get worse and worse... not cool cryptic... not cool...
