Farming RP

Hello guys, just reach 70!! so now i have a good artifact weapon and off hand.. but I'm really poor.. so how to farm the RP to put the stuff to blue at least??

another question.. how works the Augmentation pet?

    ice wind dale and they work like this - you make them active - they'll give there stats to you :3

    Sharandar and Dread Ring may actually be better than Icewind Dale for farming RP, it's a real gold RP mine. I'll not go into details or debate, except to steer the O/P to go and actually visit those places and look at the quest rewards you get.

    The fools grinding for Peridots in IWD HE's don't have a clue, apparently. (Generally-speaking//sarcasm for those who can't recognize it).

    Frankly, I cant bother , its so boring, worst HAMSTER in game.

    @angrysprite, your going to earn more per hour farming peridots, not that I could stomach doing it 320 hours to get legendaries.. I cant , would be way to boring. But all the rp in dread ring and sharandar will take you a hour to do anyways and since you only get half the valude for RP equipment, its not that great.

    Im just starting to get several alts to lvl 24 leadership.. when I get 5-6 rolling and just save up all the boxes for every 2 xp weekend, Im hoping Ill have enough to get my belt then neck to legendary eventually.

    I just cant solo grind HAMSTER like this out for the amount of hours they want you to do it.

    sharandar for runes rp
    dread ring for artifacts rp
    hourly dragons at wod for weapon and armor artifacts.
    upgrade you leadership to lvl 25 to get rp elements on a daily basis.
    when you are strong enough iwd HE`S are good to.

    To farm Artifact Equipment RP, these are what I know (besides buying from AH or Zen):

    1. IWD HE run
    2. WoD Dragon run
    3. leadership rank 24 task
    4. Invocation coins
    5. Invocation bag
    5. Dragon's Hoard enchantment drop
    6. Pick up dropped level 70 gear to refine.

    Sharandar and D.Ring do not help getting AE RP directly.

    To get the artifact equipment to blue is easy, and you can just do Ice wind dale zerg. In the meanwhile, you could also finish your iwd daily. 4 encouters, you get 300 Raw black ice. If you find it boring, then just come back tomorrow for daily. If you play pve content daily for 1 or 2 hours, you could also use 2 or 3 dragon hoard enchantments. It will give you around 3k RP at least daily.

    Dread ring is a good place for normal artifact RP. The easiest way to get normal enchants (rank 4 and 5) is from AH. They are cheap like a hell, you don't have to farm them exclusively.

    @plasticbat gave a good list, I would emphasize WoD dragon runs at 45:00 per hour. You would be better to be there 5 mins earlier to ask people to invite you to a instance with many people are going to do the run. It is worth the time and I would say it is as boring as IWD HE run. But if you do it from time to time, it is OK.

    Further note, Sharandar RP is unbound while DR RP is mostly bound to character.

    last question.. I'm TR.. the best rings in game.. those who have 2 slots... where i can find them? is too expensive?

    Gemmed Exquisite Elemental Ring of <Etc>

    I've currently stopped my production of them because the cost of production is too high with current market prices (at least last I checked), but by the same token, there should be some rings on the AH.

    Don't expect to get them for cheaper than that.

    Use 11 coins to get a AE RP chest. You can get 11 coins in 5.5 days if you do all 6 invocation per day.

    I'm not convinced the AE chests are a good rate of return. Depending on prices on the AH, you can invoke, get Elixirs of Fate, sell those on the AH, and then just BUY Refining stones off the AH.

    Of course, that suggests that yes, it's impossible to level your artifact gear without relying on the AH.

    At the moment, this route is not better. Elixirs of Fate is about 2000 AD per in AH. After 10% cut, 1800 AD. 2 Elixir of Fate is 3600 AD. One Green Resonance stone is 5000 AD in AH.

    If you stock up EoF and find the moment to sell it high and buy the AE RP low, may be.

    I assume his statement refers to his method which involves AH (sell EoF and buy AE RP through AH) vs the methods I stated without using AH and Zen store.

    Yeah. My point is, the optimal solution is usually to use the AH somehow. The game is much much harder if you don't take advantage of the existence of the AH.

    For the record, I too have a legendary MH and belt. But I also play fairly infrequently, mostly doing professions and invocation.

    So what's your secret?

    1) Used existing artifact gear as RP
    2) Spent $
    3) Had leftover RP from before dragon hoard nerf (no longer an option)
    4) Farmed IWD heroics before the nerf (no longer an option)
    5) Prefer not to say (we can read into that)

    OK, come to think of it, I did buy some RP for the first ever 2x RP event for my old MH and put that into my new one. (about 1 mil AD between 2 toons) I also used that coupon for 3 rubies (I don't remember if I bought that Zen with cash or AD). But my belt used no bought RP. My purple neck and OH have used no bought RP.

    I did farm IWD, before and after the nerf.
    I did use RP from old dragon hoards, but that all went into my MH. Not my belt.
    I used new DH and mostly, I farmed heralds for reso stones, white, green blue and purple. They don't drop as much as they used to, but they still drop pretty well.
    I'm now using leadership. I have over 100 reso bags each, on 4 toons.
    I only refine past blue during 2x RP events.

    I have 2 legendary artifacts and 2 in the 90's, but I buy and farm R4s and R5s, and spent glory to buy about 5 ravenskulls for my power arti's and was lucky enough to get the Eye to feed to my Union arti.

    I bought a whole bunch of R4s recently; if we get a double RP weekend, it'll be enough to get all four artifacts to mythic.

    But I've still got a long way to go on my off-hand and neck slot items.

    Thanks for the honest response. In terms of the comments from the others saying you need RL money and using AH in the current content if you want ever reach legendary on all your gear. I think that's an accurate statement given the drop rate of RP and limited AD supply in game. Especially for a new lvl 70 that doesn't have a strong foundation of gear. Right now many of the new 70s are stuck in a wicked loop.

    I can't survive to farm RP from heroics because I need a carry

    I can't farm artifacts because they only drop from heroics, skirmishes, and dungeons rarely and no one wants me in party because I need a carry (although leveling alts for the class artifacts is a good option that does not require a geared toon)

    I can't farm T1/T2 gear from dungeons because no one wants me in party because I need a carry

    I can't farm gear from PVP because I never win, and no one wants me in party because I need a carry

    Its a vicious cycle and I truly feel sorry for new lvl70s

    It's quite simple. If you're a new player and didn't leave after hitting 70 due to the grind needed - you're going to have to buy this ZEN to progress. As far as I can see it, there is no other way.

    And, this is exactly what Cryptic wanted to achieve so...mission accomplished.

    i returned the game 7 weeks ago. i have dragon hoard ench. (%8 possibility) i play 7 hours a day and in 7 weeks my own drop : 7 black opals (once a week) 15 sapphires (twice a week) 1 stack of lesser res. 1 stack of minor res. about 2 stacks of peridot and 4 stacks of white pearl. i had a rain white pearls :) and i need 18m RP for 4 artifact equipment and 4 stacks of white pearl give me 40k RP :wink:

    The only way I can find without cheating or using real life money is to have multiple characters. Even that, it will take a long time to be "effective". That took me a year.

    For getting T1/T2 gear, you need to join a guild that is willing to help.
