What I would love to see is the big boom without the rest of the effects, which could then be tintable as an ultimate for some of the energy/radiation/atomic power themes. Perhaps as another power or PVD. I agree that making this tintable as well would be great but I'd love to see more done with the big boom animation.
I'll just say that I wish Redirected Force counted for Vital Shielding. It's always a bit of a bummer to use it to shield everyone in the area, but then have to lose all your stacks.

Yes, that should be a bug. Right now the only way to get a decent score is to lean on healing powers and less on shields. Wouldn't be a big deal except that for those who focus on bubbling, it can be bad enough that they don't meet the minimum score for rewards.
I love the additions to the alert, especially the two new power variant devices. I especially like the fact that there's another sonic attack. I'd like to use this opportunity to ask that you consider adding a few more sonic powers/devices/ultimates at some point to help make sonic heroes (melee and/or ranged) more viable.

All the gear I tested this weekend worked well and deciding which combination to use for which character is often a close call. Overall, compared to what we had for secondary gear before the last few PTS updates, this is a major improvement.
I think the intention in having them all in the offense slot is that you have to choose which one you want based on your role and powers. If they were split between slots, you could have multiple of these unique bonuses in the same set of gear.
In my testing so far, the new Onslaught gear is about equivalent to the improved Cosmic gear, it's just that there are different abilities to choose from. My device tray seems messed up after this update. It was previously five wide, now it's three stacked on top of two and I can't seem to be able to change that. This means that when I expand my Power Variant Device Slots, those now get overlapped by the device tray as well.
