Well, I'm in a hurry so I apologize for this rushed post, but honestly if you are looking for an "auto escape panic button", instead of using a power slot, I'd consider either using "Ninja Vanish" or "Ooze Tunneling", although they are both "TERRIBLE" travel powers they both shed agro pretty much on demand. (Ninja Vanish…
Personally I never liked the "underwear of power", most of my characters tend to wear street clothes and/or battle armor or some sort... Of course, some of my "battle armor" tends to show more skin then truly practical, but that wasn't the actual question.
As long as the costumes and auras were considered Tier 2 then yes, I would rather buy my own keys and get what I wanted instead of "playing the market" or bartering with people.
Something that you might want to consider is that a few of the missions (Destroyer's Factory -- I'm looking at you,) aren't very solo friendly unless you pick up Unbreakable as one of your ADs... As far as I can tell it's the only power that lets you interact with shineys while still taking fire... *EDIT* I suppose…
It's a combo that I don't see often, but stacking Regen (R3) / IDF (R3) seems to work pretty well with the majority of the gameplay, throw in BCR and you should be able to "Jenkins" to your heart's content and actually keep your 5 Star Hero Rating...
Personally I just pick whichever one I think looks the coolest at the moment, currently the "Fireant" is winning that contest, although sometimes I just feel like hopping into my prototype jet. Because, let's face it, with a few niche exceptions, your own character is going to be at least as powerful as the vehicles are,…
Honestly, when I went to open a Lockbox I'd like a choice to pop up... (Gamble) -- Works just as it currently does... (Pick your reward) --- You get to choose from an option of the "Tier 2" and "Tier 3" Prizes ---- If they did that I'd actually buy keys with the purpose of using them to open lockboxes as opposed to buying…
Not much more I can say that hasn't already been said, but I've been told that the bug is that something in the diminishing returns formula is being applied twice to FFs as opposed to ATs, but no-one is quite sure what it is... (Honestly as old as the bug is I don't think it will ever be fixed.) However, something to note…
Yet another tweak and advise seeking... PowerHouse (Link to this build) Name: Mandate Archetype: Freeform Super Stats: Level 6: Intelligence (Primary) Level 10: Constitution (Secondary) Level 15: Recovery (Secondary) Talents: Level 1: The Hero Level 6: Jack of All Trades Level 9: Field Ops Training Level 12: Survival…
Unless they've changed Compassion recently I was never really that impressed with it. Might actually have to give PFF another shot; I tried it when I first started playing and died, ALOT using it so haven't touched it since...
Hmm, am I crazy for considering running two passives? I'm thinking AoPM at the start of the battle and then switching over to regen as I start getting hurt? (Or does the game not quite work the way I think it does?)
Hmm, quick question, are the titles unlocked for all of my future characters as well or just the ones that are currently created? I assume its the former but just wanted to make sure...
Well, although I'm not quite to 40 (38 at the moment but moving up fast, this looks like what the final build is going to look like.) PowerHouse (Link to this build) Name: Abstruse Archetype: Freeform Super Stats: Level 6: Intelligence (Primary) Level 10: Constitution (Secondary) Level 15: Recovery (Secondary) Talents:…
I've been told that if only one player on the team has made a nemesis then that is who you get. However on a related note, how many nemesis tokens do everyone get per run? (And does everyone get the tokens or just the lucky person whose nemesis pops?)
I personally fall into the camp that Batman's hands are stained with the blood of every innocent the Joker has killed after Bats realized that nothing in Gotham could possibility contain him but Bats still refused to put the Joker into the ground.
I personally wouldn't mind being able to be a villain, but I honestly don't think it could work without either gating the zones (which I would hate and would never happen anyways) or forcing PvP on people who doesn't want it. --Under no circumstances would I like seeing heroes and villains standing in the middle of Rec…
I misunderstood the character, I thought that tapping into the cosmic secret was what gave the character powers, and her special DNA was just what allowed her to survive it.
Didn't see gradii's last post before posting, sorry. Yeah, I can see that working in a comic book, although if you were a player at a table where I was DMing I might suggest that perhaps the original's powers actually came from the cosmic secret warping her DNA / brain structures in order to make a better nesting place as…
I agree , but my question is if the original got the secret when her mother passed through a dimensional anomaly, it seems to me that the secret wouldn't have been passed to the clone automatically. (To my mind that also gives a good reason why the bad guys would send the clone to kill the original. That way the clone…
I apologize if I missed something, but a question came to mind, if your character's power was being able to survive hosting the universal secret, what gave the clone powers before the merger? Or was the entire point of trying to eliminate the original with said clone was to try to acquire said secret in the first place?
Personally I'd be happy with the option to allow my friends/supergroup access to "my hideout" whether or not I was logged. But then again I'd also like to pick what zone I enter when I leave my hideout as well... After all, if we can teleport to the moon, surely we can teleport elsewhere as well...

Well, something that I've noticed with this build is that when I'm getting swarmed I'm either completely fine or very, very dead without much middle ground, granted that might be in part because I'm still running on my old computer since my brother is still in the process of working out the kinks in the one I'm getting him…
You know, having an alter ego toggle is perhaps one of the better ideas I've heard in along time, genre savvy too. Of course in a perfect world said toggle would change your costume into a new "secret identity" slot and disable your auras, and any time you use any of your powers the toggle switches off and you revert back…
Also I can attest that at least on the PTS they do summon a second Mega D on Elite, although the clone phases out of existence within moments of the "real" one dying... Also I did manage to short the charging station out on the mission where we are supposed to steal from the weapons depot, although it took me many attempts…
I haven't had a chance to run her through Resistance yet but I did manage to whittle MC's Mega D down to ~350k health before the timer ran out on me, so at least that proves my boss DPS is moving in the right direction... (Quick question, given my primary goal of seldom if ever taking a dirt nap and being able to pop right…
I vaguely remember reading that they changed Rec where it also increases your overall energy levels slightly so you can't have an equalibrum higher then your energy score no matter what. Never tested it and I suppose I could be misremembering something as it's been awhile back...
Sorry if I wasn't clear but I meant the ones that you destroy in order to keep the Mega D Overseer from waking up when you steal weapons and bomb the super jet.
I still haven't had a chance to run Abstruse's newest tweak through her paces and probably won't for a couple of days. (Real life calls it seems.) Since my daughter has decided that she wants to play with her old man sometimes I figure that in a small two man team I'm probably going to mesh best with whatever hero she…
I used to run Rec as my primary SS but anymore I've tended to favor a Int/Con/Rec setup and honestly I'm much happier with the way it plays, energy management can be handled using one of the toggles (disclaimer, I personally use IDF which doesn't) and/or a decent energy unlock. In the past I've usually set my energy…

Yeah, I kind of had a flash while getting ready to fall into bed and had to come back and post, other then "pulling a Jenkins" on the entire powerhouse room at a time what other quick and dirty tests would you recommend that are practical on the Test Server? Thanks...
You know, a thought occurred to me while I was getting ready for bed, Hurricane feels a lot more powerful in powerhouse then Epidemic does (I might be discounting the DoT effect too easily though.); so other then having an easy way of spreading poison around just in case I need to Devour Essence someone, would I be better…

Aye, I think some of the reasons that I like Devour Essence as much as I do is that the FX is similar to psi lash so I've connected them in my head as different facets of the same power. (Perhaps that tendency is one of the reasons that my build seems scattered through the powersets, in my mind Hurricane isn't summoning a…
Ok, here I go again, I tested this build (I used Rebirth instead of Devour Essence as Star Insurance in the Danger Room.) and I can fairly safely clear the hard rooms one mob at a time (on all three gang types), but pulling a "Jenkins" isn't quite in the cards without cut and running and taking a couple of ties at it so I…
Excellent points, the character in question wrongly believes that her psionicaly based universal translator tech renders her immune to casual telepathic contact so she isn't concerned when she discovers that her new caseworker is a low grade telepath, and the caseworker in question isn't really doing active probes per say,…
Thanks for the information and feedback. In my mind at least, although I apparently missed the mark in the execution thereof, I was aiming for a "theme lite", the hero in question was a magi-tek tinker/weapons tester who was infused with the energy of a collapsing timeline (temporal/dimensional/force). So I guess the theme…
Thanks for the feedback, I'm trying to aim for a basically unkillable solo hero that can hopefully handle the huge energy requirements of tossing around three AoEs at once as baddies swarm around her... Basically someone who can pull off a "Jenkins" and live to tell the tell. All the while keeping as much of the FX as…
Well, honestly I guess what I'm aiming for is a hero that can solo just about anything while fitting into a "theme lite" of being a font of limitless energy, without becoming a glass cannon or being forced to become an elementalist. I guess if I had to choose between DPS or surviving I'd rather wage battles that took…
Thanks for the information. So, if the character's first entry into CU's timeline was the Qular invasion (per the tutorial), in addition to the reconstruction scenes we are shown, Defender would have probably gotten her in touch with a Primus caseworker in order to help her get her paperwork in order. Primus in turn would…
