Object Targeting

So, we have to talk about targeting again. Why? Because it just blew a mission objective.

When I take the time to manually target something-which, particularly when that something is an object, the game doesn't like to target objects in general, so I tend to have to click the object several times and get within a certain critical distance-I EXPECT, when I start shooting or swinging, to blow that object up.

I do not, particularly given my targeting options in the controls tab, expect me to start swinging at the nearest hostile. I EXPLICITLY have that behavior disabled, and the game is still doing it.

Bad targeting has plagued CO for a long time. It's much better now than it had been, but it'd be something I would appreciate being given a look.

It's extremely messed up right now, and breaks the rhythm of the game completely. It's like they want you to change your options settings every five minutes to suit whatever mission you're doing. Quite often, I don't want to deal with it and play something else.

Sometimes the object will actually respawn as you are fighting it, so there may be two that are overlapping. Sometimes it's health will refresh for no apparent reason, under the same circumstances. This is especially a problem with the objects that are on top of npcs.

Having a huge maintained pbaoe is about the only way to keep it from being unbearable.

Is there a keybind or option a person can use to cycle through objects and objects only?
