Unless you're protesting the community, the only ones that suffer here is them... I guarantee it's no skin off Cryptic's nose whether your forum guides exist or not...
He survived the events of Shadow of Destruction. Whether or not he's the mastermind in Death Rattle, he's pretty much guaranteed to return at some point. :P
You pretty much answered your own question. It all comes down to allocating finite resources for maximum effect. Cryptic could invest in expanding CO, but why would they? They have access to two of the biggest franchises in American geek culture. If you're worried about the game's future, don't be. Cryptic fully owns the…
I was working on some updated costumes for the Champions before I went on a small hiatus. Managed to finish Defender and Sapphire, and started work on Kinetik. I aged them up, based on their ages described in the source books. (Mostly in their 40's now.) (Obviously couldn't use Sapphire's belly diamonds, but they'd be…
What I want isn't so much a power as it is an ability. I want the ability to see alternate realities. Not necessarily to travel to them, but just to be able to view them from a distance at will. I've always been extremely fascinated with the concept of a multiverse.
Awesome idea. This would be a great way to bring together various subplots in the overarching story line of the game. Not only that, but it would properly establish Doctor Destroyer's presence in CO as something more than just a face on a screen.
I know. In fact, Resistance wasn't even the first time within Champs lore where Destroyer has worked with heroes to stop a common enemy. No reason why he wouldn't do it again if it was in his best interest. He's not so arrogant he would completely screw himself just to get back at his enemies.
The "de-powering" event would affect his technology too. Doctor Destroyer may be proud, but he's no dummy. Being over a hundred years old at this point, his tech might be the only thing keeping him alive, so undermining the guys trying to fix everything wouldn't be in his best interest. I actually imagined Doctor Destroyer…
Shadow Destroyer has always acted in service of his patron deities, but only as a means to bolster his own power. Through them, he plans to destroy all reality and remake it in his own image.
I don't have a problem with it, personally. I'll eat it if it's there, but I don't generally order my pizzas with pineapple. Now Ranch, on the other hand, is just pizza murder and should be punishable in a court of law.
Unfortunately, I didn't read the options carefully enough and chose Pink. In hindsight, the Dark Blue(Light Blue) would have been a better choice. For me, I enjoy the creative challenge of trying to balance theme and viability. It's easy enough to throw a mishmash of powers onto a toon for strength or looks, but there's a…
Yeah, something isn't right. I've been having an issue with the old Shadow Destroyer perk not unlocking for awhile now, and it seems the issue has extended to the new perks as well. Despite many successful Nemcon runs, none of the Shadow Destroyer-related perks even appear in my list.
I imagine so, considering "Super Human" is anyone who surpasses the physical and mental limitations of average men and women. "Super Human" is an umbrella term, so the way in which a character would resist physical damage like speeding projectiles might vary. I don't think all "super humans" in the Champions universe can…
Creating brand new content for CO is a much bigger undertaking than a lot of people realize. The game's decrepit code can break in 15 different ways just by looking at it funny, and there's not enough manpower to devote to both bug fixing and content creation. The devs have to prioritize fixing current issues before…
Yes... I followed the directions on how to join through Pidgin... The problem is it stopped working after the fact, and now nothing is listed in guilds.crypticspace.com, so I cannot rejoin.
Yes please. A neutral zone where non-participants and newbies trying to level would be perfect. It's not fair to those who do events and those who don't to have to constantly fight over zone space.
Instead of imitation, why not evolution? Superhero costumes always improve and change over time. Even if you can't use your old CoX costumes anymore, there's still ways to pay homage to them using the costume parts available here in CO.
A Cosmic that can turn into the other Cosmics seems a bit redundant... It's just creating an unnecessary middle-man between fights that otherwise play exactly the same as their normal counterparts. I get that the devs have a spaghetti mess of code and limited resources to work with, but they can do (and have done.) more…
Thank you. We try to remind people as much as possible to use the /camdist command, as it really does make a difference when fighting giant bosses like Eido. This is just another reason why.
Apologies if I seemed defensive. Ultimately, it's a minor issue that can easily be worked around. I'm just surprised no one else seems to be experiencing this. I doubt anything can be done at this stage, but at least the thread exists now for anyone who might come across this issue in the future.
Concentration does the same thing, but it doesn't turn itself off like Enrage. I use Enrage on a couple of my toons, both sporting different builds. Both experience the issue. I don't know why this is happening, or why I seem to be the only unlucky dip it's happening to, but regardless of whether anyone acknowledges it,…
I don't know if there's a setting to turn it off, but there's two things that work for me: 1, play in Windowed Fullscreen and alt-tab to another window before the cutscene starts. (Use autorun if you need to move through a door to start the scene.) 2, keep your cursor over the chat box before a cutscene starts which also…
I'm amazed folks still treat those CoH knockoff projects like they're going to save the genre or something. Five years of concept art and Facebook drama a game does not make. >.>
Eido is announced all of the time. Considering you have half of CO on ignore though, it doesn't surprise me you don't see it. :P Regardless, I'm happy you've found engaging content to spend your time with. Fun is what you make of it.
If more people actually came together, learned how to do the content and made a concentrated effort to unlock Eido, Spectre wouldn't be the "only" ones (which they're not really.) who do him. Most of the time people just wait around for someone to do the unlocking for them so they can come reap the rewards. The fact of the…
Just don't try to fight Black at all. Your goal isn't to defeat him, it's to keep him distracted while the Demon Key opens the boxes. Keep your eye out for spawned minions the whole time and take them out as quickly as possible. An AOE like Shade Storm can dispatch them quickly if they're close to each other. If one starts…
Admittedly, it's a bit difficult to gage what's where based on your's and Eido's position/Orb spawn location. I've had to double check who's on what orb and adjust accordingly a number of times. But otherwise, it really is a good tactic that's helped keep us on a nice winning streak these past months. I'd say while…
