Eidolon Vocal Cues Question

So, I generally play with my sound off, but on the few occasions that I have done an Eido run with my sound on, I noticed that he has vocal cues for most of his big nasties, portals, reds, greens, and geysers (including his terrible "rain of terror" pun. It seems that the vocal cues come before the visual cues, and if someone were listening closely, this could really help them set up for the next big thing.

The problem is, the other thing I noticed is that they are very unreliable in that they do not always fire. From what I could tell, he only announces maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of his attacks. My question is, is that just a function of my old computer, or is that actually what is happening? Does he only verbally announce a small percentage of his attacks, or is it that my old computer is just not picking up all the announcements?

The thing is, if he does announce all his nasties, it would be great to add this to the various Eidolon guides. When he does it, I have found it very helpful. If someone is very quick on the buttons, it would also be a boon to the dance caller because they would know exactly what is coming next and would have time to announce it before the animation even starts. I mean, not that we need much more help after doing 4:20 Eddy runs, but still it would be good when we have more new players there.

If he does this only inconsistently, then it is definitely not good to add to the guides. Does anyone with a shiney, new computer know if his vocal cues are consistent or inconsistent?

It's not just you. It's a surprising event for me when Eido or Kiga actually talks. Though Kiga only says half a word from what I've heard. I don't know if it's the effects of 30 people or more bogging things and burying it, or if it's because Cosmics require the camera to be zoomed way out so technically you're not close enough to hear them.

All sounds are erratic. They're either low priority, have a target cap, low radius, or just broken.

which is ridiculous...ANY sound a villain makes should have the highest priority, and shove aside any other sounds currently playing to ensure IT plays successfully, especially those sounds tied to ability use

i don't need to hear my gun going off for the duration of its maintain cycle - i DO need to hear when a boss is about to use one of its super-mega-ultimate-deadly attacks of painful, agonizing death if it gives me an extra second of prep time over the visual tells

By using the camdist command (/camdist 150, i use it with all cosmic level bosses and events) will lower everyone sound effects, making the Boss sounds and vocals top priority (it also reduce the visual cluster from 30-50 players attacks)
this is very useful for Eidolon thanks to his vocal cues

FUN FACT: Sonic Device (and possible Munition Bots in turret mod) has ridiculous sound radius, it appears it overslap everything and ignore camera distance
I find it amusing that it can be heard in RenCen when people fighting bosses in champion HQ building (like anniversary destroits)

Thank you. We try to remind people as much as possible to use the /camdist command, as it really does make a difference when fighting giant bosses like Eido. This is just another reason why.
